What about NO early pregnancy symptoms

    Hi All,

Well i'm in the tww at 9dpo and of course am driving myself bananas trying to overanalyse everything. and i think i'm just trying to make things up cause really i don't feel any different to normal. i did cave and do a test this morning which came up negative. and i know it's still a bit early.

all i tend to read about early pregnancy is all the different signs like m/s, sore boobs, metallic taste, cramping etc...

but what if you have none of them.

so, wondering how common it is to not having any of these early symptoms and still come up with a bfp?

For me, yes, it was common to not have any signs and still get a bfp. I go not symptoms whatsoever until after AF was due, and even then I still didn't get m/s or sore boobs until after the 6 week mark (so 2 weeks after AF was due). Basically I just felt normal. If it wasn't for the positive tests and no period, I wouldn't have even thought I was pg. I also never got positive hpts until at least the day AF was due.

thanks Bon. gives me a bit more hope.

today i do feel a bit off and very uncomfortable stomach wise. think i might be talking myself into symptoms though. did another test this morning and was negative. so it doesn't look good and am losing confidence that it worked this month.

    thanks for the reply.

I didn't have any early pg symptoms with DS2 (other than no AF) if I didn't end up with a big belly kicking me I never would have thought I was pg at all

    Good luck

I had early symptoms with DS, but none this time. They kicked in at about 6 weeks. We had a scan the other week and all looks good, so just one of those things I guess! And my body is sure making up for it now .

    Good luck getting your BFP

thanks girls. i love hearing these stories.

but i caved again this afternoon (don't even know why?!?!) and as expected it was again negative, and this is one of those internet ones that are 10miu sensitive, so if that's not picking something up then i guess the answer really is a BFN.

i know it ain't over till AF arrives which is on Wednesday, but i really don't feel confident at all. still fell 'offish' and am having heaps of cm all of a sudden, but i know that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

of course i'll test again in the morning but am expecting the same result.

but your stories do keep the faint glimmer of hope alive, so thanks heaps.

Try to hold off testing hun - it will just do your head in. Trust me, I know. Those sensitive tests always came up negative for me until after AF was due - so try not to read too much into the bfns, it is probably simply too early.

No early warning signs for me either!

With my DD, an unplanned surprise, I didn't get any symptoms till week 5 and even then it was only a subtle one... needing to pee in the middle of the night! The first real symptom of MS kicked in at 6 weeks.

Hope you get your BFP soon and have 'gentle' symptoms!

I'm 7 days over due for AF and got a BFP at the start of the week and I don't have any PG symptoms other than late AF. I didn't get any PG symptoms till about 6wks last time.

Good luck, hope you get your BFP this week.

I don't get early pg symptoms, except for falling asleep in the evenings in front of the tv! LOL. Even then it's not until i get the BFP that I go.. aaah.. thats probably why I've been falling asleep! No sore boobs, no extra peeing.. nothing.

M/s usually kicks in for me around 6 weeks.

well if course i tested again this morning and definately BFN. i'm now 11dpo. and i know it can still be too early so there's a small chance still. this morning i used the first response early reponse and the pregnow, so really i'm just trying to convince myself i think.

still feeling offish this morning - heaps of burping that makes me feel ill. and had heaps of cm yesterday too?!?!

i'm clutching at straws. not sure why i'm feeling so negative - that's not usually like me. maybe just protecting myself from dissappointment.

thanks ladies. i'll keep ya posted, and welcome any more experiences to get me through the next few days untill wed when af is due

Can I ask what sort of CM? I would get alot of watery CM before AF arrives. If it is the creamy sticky CM you might still be in with a chance.

it was definately the creamy cm. and well i tested this morning and.........BFP!!!!!! i can't quite believe it. guess the feeling offish was a bit of m/s afterall.

just for interest though - this morning i tested with both pregnow 10miu and first response. pregnow came back negative and first response came back positive. so then i did a third test with a random hpt i had around and it also was a positive - albeit a faint one - but still there. guess those ultrasensitive cheapo ones just didn't quite work for me, yet did cause a bit of grief.

here's just hoping this bubba sticks.,

thanks for all your help over the past couple of days - it helped me stay sane.
