What to count as CD1?

I have been spotting/light bleeding for a few weeks so I stopped the pill on advice of my GP. I started heavy red bleeding on monday so do I count that as CD1 even though I have had spotting/light bleeding the weeks proceeding that?

Yep - I would call Monday CD 1.
