Renstar - I'm sorry you got a BFN. I got three BFP the month before last and went and had a blood test, which turned out to be negative :'( That was sad... maybe a chemical pregnancy - I hope so because then it at least means that I can conceive! I've been off the pill for over a year, but we haven't really been "actively" trying so I guess it's not really surprising it hasn't happened for us yet. Like you said, it'll happen for the both of us when it's meant to.
I even made myself have the symptoms as well!! Headaches, tiredness, really late AF, slight nausea, sore boobs etc!! Amazing what the mind can do!
Keira - Congratulations!! That's so WONDERFUL!!!!! I'd love a baby girl - we've already picked names for both a boy and a girl ;)
Man this thread is making me want to be pregnant yesterday!!
All the best and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :) Who knows, maybe you are, and you just got a false negative?!!!!
love spuddles
me 25 DF 30
ttc (sort of!!) since April 2006

PS I think these forums are just so great - it's such an awesome support group for everyone. Whoever thought of them deserves a meddle!!! Now all we need is a chat room on here for when we are all online at once!
-
-
dammit it should be spelt meddle lol

:happyforyou: that's great Keira! Congrats on your little baby girl in your belly!!!!! That's so exciting!! Now you can go crazy with pink!! Is it 100% accurate though? Do they say its 99% accurate or were they CERTAIN? Lots of ppl i know have told me they cant tell you for sure but if they say it is then yeah they must be right!! oh yay!!!!!!!! I know how much you were wanting a girl as you said it before....
I'm still feeling nauseous :ms:
and NO AF..... could i be pregnant? But we use condoms... and we only 2 or 3 times used nothing but it was just for like 1minute if you KWIM? And then we put the rubber on!!!!!!!! (TMI!!)
Our dog escaped again :( had to patch up the fence!!! The poor neighbours, i'm so embarrased but she was cool about it. what a way to meet the neighbour huh??!
Blanchie - i told DF that the neighbour rang me to say she got out and DF said "lets get rid of her then!!" and i'm like "nooooooo" cos' we just gave away our other dog in April, i can't lose this one too.....
fingers crossed the new fence works..... it's a makeshift one! I also have barbed-wire but don't want to use it as there are kids next door and it's not safe for them (they are too small to climb the wall anyway)...
I'm not disappointed about my :BFN: but if i got a :BFP: it would have been better!! ;)
-
Wow Renstar, you have such an awesome attitude!! Completely inspriring!! You go!!!!
-
 thanks spuddle, well the thing is, we arent TTC until Aug/Sept anyway! So if we are pregnant, it will be very unexpected so to say... hehe but we'd be thrilled at the same time... either way, i wish something would happen.....
-
AAAAHHHHH! Ok, I stumbled on this thread (cant sleep tonight) so I started reading. Drove me nuts when you (Renstar) would forget to test and then the talk about the big boobs and I was like common (not that I normally have anything against them....im guy after all) the test, the test! And then it was negative and I felt so bummed! But all of the remaining and new symptoms and then I read the last post......common, please keep testing. A pee stick a day at the very least! It's the least you could do for us until AF or a positive shows up!

My fiance and I were the same - thought I was pregnant (I was 2 weeks late) with ALL the symptoms of early pregancy, then my AF came and we were pretty flat. We decided that we wanted a baby when we realised how disappointed we were!
I started charting my basal temperature, but he was working away and it was so rare that he was home when I was O-ing that there was almost no point. We went residential at Christmas and I was still not on the BCP and we had that month in April/May again (there's something about that month haha) where we really thought I was pregnant, but then AF reared her ugly head again late! So we are sort of trying, sort of not, sort of not not trying!!! I'm finding that the more I'm on belly belly and the more I read about pregnancy and having a baby, the more I want it though. It'll happen when it happens :)

Hey Dustmite - These HPT's are expensive to buy you know!!! I normally get 2 for $10 but I have just bought a whole heap of lullaby conceptions website so they should be due tomorrow! yay!!! so sorry to disappoint but i won't be testing tomorrow morning!!! probably Saturday i'll give it another whirl...... yes i believe i kept alot of you all in suspense.... i didnt realise i was such a popular person on this bellybelly hehehe
Spuddle - you are the same age as me! (well, nearly) and I reckon that's a very "clucky" age to be in!! I have been sooo clucky the last 12mths so badly but timing for us has been wrong with the wedding coming up and we have been busy getting our business setup and running.... the time is approaching soon for us....
I hope you get your BFP very soon too!!!!! It''s such an exciting time! It sucks you can only get pregnant certain times of the month huh? If only it was like 2 weeks of the month that would be good....!!!!!!
-
LOL Spuddle!
It will defn happen for you when you least expect it, and you know what, it's the best feeling! We were trying but didn't expect anything to happen (it took 2 years though!) and we were really happy when we saw that :bfp: - Thanks for the congrats! We were hoping for a girl, so we're over the moon!!
Thanks Renee!! The sonographer was very thorough, i liked it because she took her time to get everything just right, so we had a 40 minute "session" and got it all on dvd as well as her suprising us at the end with colour photos, incl. a 3D/4D shot!! When she had a look in between the legs she paused and said "looks like a little lady!" and showed me the lines and said "there's no doodle in front" - at the end of it she said we don't guarantee anything.... that's fine with me, i saw the lines too!
Thanks for all the congrats girls!! :D
-
Hey, me too Renstar!! Mine are due to arrive tomorrow as well!!!! Go the Lullaby Conceptions!!!
-
I think it was you Spuddle, that I saw where you had posted that you had just bought some, so i thought "hey thats a great idea as i'm out of them" and woolies seem too expensive compared to lullaby conceptions... i bought the pack of 10 for like $20? + $5 postage... not bad huh? and they show only small amount of HCG so should be good for when AF just missed....
Hey Keira, i'm so happy for you!!!! :) that's the best news! A little girl!! Well if the lady couldnt see a "doodle" hehe then she is probably right!!!! yay!!!! Are you going shopping tomorrow? Have you already bought some clothes for baby? Like neutral colours?
I have already bought a couple of items recently (boy item and girl item) of clothing cos it was a sale on and i couldnt help myself!!! I figured, well hopefully wont be too far away for me now....!!!!! I would love a girl first time but it doenst matter... i think we'll end up having a boy i just reckon we will!!!! I've heard there are more chances of having a girl baby as the sperm are stronger? that's what i've heard don't know if its true or not....
-
clucky?clucky?CLUCKY? I'm gonna turn into a chook soon I reckon. Every time I see kids I just melt inside! Went out to my DF's farwell last week (he resigned - so probably a good thing I think I'm not pregnant this month!) and instead of spending all my time with the adults, drinking and having fun, I was lying on mytummy, legs kicking in the air, colouring in with two little girls for 4 hours!! It was so much fun! I'll be LAYING eggs soon... I just hope it "lays' with a spermy inside it haha
-
oh my gosh! thats me at a party too!! i went to my mate's 30th recently and there were lots of kids there (family party) and i was dancing with the kids doing the YMCA  and all the adults were taking pics of us!! it was fun! I love being a kid and playing along with them...all the little kids were pulling my arms and wanting me to play with them and dance with them hehe its so refreshing spending time with kiddies... takes you back to the simple things in life and makes you realise whats important KWIM?
When is your wedding? Have you guys set a date yet???
-
We've got a little plastic container with some baby stuff in it. I found this beautiful little pink cotton dress with a snoopy embroidered on it and fell in love, so I bought it! We also have bibs, a towel set and little ornaments we are saving for when it happens!
Oh, yeah, it was me who said that about lullaby! I bought the same box... they work out to be like $2 each... crazy hey?!! I just won't buy the foretel ones and it's just so difficult when you live in the middle of the desert - just no variety!
-
we've set heaps of dates! Stuff keeps happening to prevent it! My DF I think has cold feet - his parents never married and I don't think he really wants to take the plunge. Last date we set was January of this year and we had to cancel because my boss refused me leave (i only wanted 7 days off!) because it was during the school holidays and she wanted to take that time off herself!!! So we had to cancel it! I've stopped trying to name the date... when it's meant to happen it'll happen (she says hoping she's right... I already have a $3500 dress!!)
-
Oh really? cold feet? I hope he doesn't...well it is hard picking a date and a year... we got engaged Nov 05, and we are marrying Sept 07 so that's nearly 2 yrs! It took us a good 6mths to actually pick a date... we tossed up dates here and there and i finally chose one and stuck with it! DF had no choice! he's happy with it though...
we just have the cake and the flowers to organise yay!! :P
I guess you two have to work out what's more important for you? baby first? or wedding first? We chose the wedding first! :)
And baby.... very close to it!!!!!!!!!
