What is "Maybe Baby"??

As the title says - what is it.
I am sure i have heard of something called Maybe Baby. I am assuming its some sorta test to determine if you are/have ovulated.
What is it? Are they any good? Where do you get them from? How much $$?

Debbie i have seen them in the chemist. I have no idea how you use them.

It's a saliva microscope. The patterns formed when your saliva dries apparently indicate hormone levels and can show when ovulation is likely. I've never used one, but I've seen them for around $80.

Hi Debbie,
There is a thread about maybe baby... I can't remember what it is under though.
Maybe Baby is a saliva ovulation test which some people prefer to the urine stick one. I purchased the maybe baby and used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I could clearly see the difference in my saliva under the mini microscope thing - let's hope it works for me this month! It was $75 from the chemist and was behind the counter so I had to ask.

Also it can supposedly help you work out the best days to DTD in order to conceive your preferred gender. I used a Maybe Baby when I was TTC baby number 2, but found it a bit unreliable as sometimes it would show no fern pattern and on a repeat test a few mins later the fern pattern would show up. By number 3 I didn't bother and instead followed my obstetricians advice about tracking vaginal mucus to predict ovulation.

I used to use it but found that temping was a better option and far cheaper.
