What should I determine as CD1?

    Good Morning everyone,

I really need some help. I've taken Primolut N to force AF so I can start my first cycle of Clomid. Last night I was getting ready for bed around 10.30pm when I noticed AF had started but only very light. This morning it's still quite light but my doctor has given me instructions to take Clomid CD 2 - 6.

My question is what is technically classed as CD1? The day you first see any bleeding or first day of full flow? I've always marked the first day of any bleeding as CD1 but because I'm taking these pills I need to be more medically technical about it and I really don't want to mess it up. Should I start Clomid today and note CD1 as yesterday or do I note today as CD1 and start them tomorrow?

Being a women is just too confusing at times...

I always went by when the bleeding started but if it started later at night then the next day was CD1 for me. Good luck with your cycle!! Just a tip though, take your clomid at night it will lessen the symptoms you have throughout the day

My FS says if it starts after 8am, the next day is CD1. I prefer to go by sunset - if the sun is still up, that's CD1, if the sun has set, the next day is CD1.

Based on what you described, I'd call the next day CD1.

    GL with your cycle!

    Thanks for your feedback ladies

So based on everyone's advice I should note today as CD1. I feel like I've had it wrong for years! I never even thought to ask my doctor about this when he prescribed me with the Clomid.

I'll start the pills tomorrow then!
