ttc # 2 - opinions on age gap

Hi all

Our DD is 12 months old and we are thinking about TTC baby #2..I was wanting opinions or experiences of a similar age gap and what it was like for you?

We would like to have them close in age but I wonder if I could cope with 2 under 2..

I guess I just want opinions in general about different age gaps, I am definitely ready to have another bub, just scared at the same time!!!

Sorry for being vague, just feeling a little confused about the timing..

Our DD1 was 27 months when DD 2 arrived. But there is only an 18 month difference between DD2 and DD3.

I think if that it would have been easier to have a smaller age difference between the first 2 children.

At the time I just didn't seem to have enough of me to go around with a 4yo 18m and nb. But DD3 is 20 months now, and things are finally starting to calm down. The girls are great friends, and get along really well together: just hope it lasts!

We're ttc baby number 2 as well, ds is now 11 months old, so I'm kinda in the same boat you are lol

On the other hand, my little half sister (now 4) and half brother (now 3) are 11 months apart, and although my stepmother finds it difficult as an older mum with arthritis and carpal tunnel, she wouldn't change it (mostly lol, she occasionally jokes about wishing my brother had waited another 3-5 months before arriving as my little sister has some learning difficulties).
