when can you feel o pains?

hi all just a quick question, i have had o pains for the last 2 days but on ff i haven't o'd yet, can you feel the pain a couple of days before hand? it looks like it will tell me tomorrow by my temp pattern. thanks for any replys.

Hi Kerry,
I used to feel ovulation quiet strongly. It got so uncomfortable that i had to sit down slowly. My mood used to change heaps to. Poor husband didnt know what hit him when i ovulated lol. It did only last a couple of days though, maybe three.

Hope this answers your question. As far as im aware when the pain is there then your ovulating. Judging by my falling pg id agree. Go for your life when you start feeling that niggle i say.

The cycle I fell pregnant, I experienced very strong O pains on the day BEFORE I O'd. Apparently you can feel them before, during or even just after O'ing! LOL Only about 1 in 5 women experience it.

thanks for your replys, yeah i o'd about 2 days later by my temp and we bd 2 days before and the day after not on the day! so fingers crossed, on 8dpo now. hopefully caught the eggie.

I agree with the other comments. I also feel bloated and nauseous when i o. Sounds good for u Kerry. Will keep my fingers crossed

I also get very strong O pains and have to sit down slowly! I usually have them for two or three days. The first day I get a - OPK and the next day or two I get + OPKs. When the pain stops I get - OPKs. FF won't show you when you've Od until after you have-it has to regisiter a sustained thermal shift before confirming O. As far as I understand anyway! OPKs are a good way to confirm O, if they work for you. Good luck!

i have never tried the opks but i'm pretty sure now by doing all the cm check and tempting and watching for different body changes, i can tell when i o'd but i might try them if i dont fall pg this month. I have 3 months to do so or back to the specialist....hopefully not!

I am on a BT cycle watch so hopefully will be able to pinpoint when I actually O. In terms of O pain and corresponding BT results here is what I've been experiencing so far:

Monday - slight oestrogen rise - slight twinges of pain
Thursday - oestrogen rise again, slight LH rise- slight twinges and bloating feeling
Today (Saturday) - good oestrogen rise and LH rise - quite strong twinges and bloating since Friday.

I haven't O'd yet, expected to around Monday - so that means i would have been having some pain for up to a week before hand.

I guess we're all different, I;d definately give those OPK's a go.

Yeah, I start to get cramping type pain as soon as af finishes and it intensifies over a week or so until I ovulate when it becomes quite strong. Nice knowing for sure when you ovulate though!

I experience it just about every cycle and it can be very strong - it usually arrives around 2 days prior to O.... if you feel the pain its time to start getting busy, I say
