You wont believe what my DH and I went through

Hi all,
I am not sure if I am doing this thread thingy right but would like to know if I am not. Would like to know where to go for general talk threads? Anyway IVF wow what a life changing experience. I wont go into great detail but my patner had sperm aspiration and I had eggs harvested and fertilised and one embryo put back in.

The day of the harvest was awful, I was in so much pain when I arrived at the hospital I was admitted straight away. Could not have pethadine cause I am illergic so had to grit my teeth and bear the pain for another 2.5 hours. Harvest went well I was told 18 viable eggs!!!!!!! Felt so much better. Partner went well with his side aswell. Next day rung the clinic and had 10 embryo's!!!!!!! So excited was in tears. Pain coming back, I ended up with severe hypostimulated ovarian syndrome, so bad. Went ahead with one embryo transfer and was told the day after no sperm or other empryos were frozen. The heartache we felt was terrible. Not sure why no sperm was frozen and not sure why the embryo's did'nt keep growing (splitting). Apparently they all fragmented, but we have other ideas.

Anyway my DH and I are eagerly waiting fr friday for my HCG blood test to see if my one little embryo has stayed inside mummy. God I hope so dearly but part of me is not allowing to get my hopes up, from the loss of all our other ones.

I'm so sorry for your rough journey so far. Wishing you all the luck for your BFP!! Have you popped onto the assisted conception threads. You'll find some amazing and supportive ladies in there.

Sorry to hear you have had a tough journey so far and that you didn't get any embies or sperm to freeze

Good luck Babytalk! I'll be testing sat/sunday, so not far behind you (I know it'll be a bit different for me, but I helped my aunt go through one of her IVF cycles and it wasn't fun, even as a bystander).

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you and will be sending baby dust your way!

Thank you all so much for your support I will try the assisted conception threads if I can find them. 3 days to go till the blood test and I guess I will have a phone call from my doctor on saturday. Will keep you posted.
