Kate - I think that the machines are made by Delonghi but the Nespresso name/branding is Nestle. If you go to their site, it says Nestle Nespresso. xox

From Myer.. They must be having a sale and then a special if you spend a certain amount you get a further $75 bucks off! We were expecting to pay the $370 and were stoked when it wad cheaper!!
I made my first one this morning.., awesome!!

I have the Latissima, too, love it! Always a great coffee, and I get my pods from the boutique on Collins St. I can't remember exactly what I paid for my machine, it was on special and a very good price though.

We were given a $200 voucher to spend at Kitchen Warehouse so I went in yesterday to buy a machine, then I got all confused and left without buying one at all.

Any recommendations on particular machines? I dont know whether DH and I will need the milk frother so am unsure as to whether I should spend the extra or not? And am also thinking bench space wise as well, as it is I have limited bench space.

i wanted the citiz without the milk frother/warmer but couldnt find it anywhere! looks like the best for bench space. now that i've got it with milk though the warmed up milk goes alot better than cold milk IMO

Thanks Skybie. Do you use the milk frother every time you make coffee? I can be a bit lazy at times that's all!

Ang - when I'm feeling lazy I just microwave my milk while the machine heats up, then put the cup under the nozzle and put the coffee into the hot milk - too easy!

Tips on getting the coffee hotter (from Myer Nespresso rep we asked) - preheat your cup by running the machine without a pod so just the water goes into the cup (you still open and close the bit that the pod goes in, just don't actually put a pod in), then after about a minute tip water out and then do the coffee. Also the Lungo coffees will be hotter as they have more water in them and the water temp is hotter than the milk temp. Hope that helps!!

Just a quick one to anyone still waiting for the cash back, I had to ring them for something else so I asked about it because it's been 5 weeks since we sent it in. It will take 45-60 working days to receive it from the date you sent it in. They are still processing the ones from before Christmas

ang no i dont, im impatient BUT in all honestly if u pour the milk in, then turn the machine on to heat the water (and the milk frother at the same time) by the time the waters ready to go and u press go the milk is usually done, my issue with it is rinsing it after i've used it. u get two connection things with it, one froths and the other just heats it. i cant find my one that just heats it....typical! lol
all in all i think it takes as long as making an instant coffee, which i no longer drink! i dnt like the taste anymore and i dont have the urge to have one. pre nespresso, 4-5 instant coffee's a day if i didnt go out and socialise post nespresso, 1 maybe 2 coffee's a day

My parents have one and I'm their designated coffee maker! At first I thought it was great - getting a coffee by pressing a button. After awhile it lost its appeal though it is better than instant anytime. I think the Nespresso machines are OK but it isn't the same as using real coffee beans and being able to make the coffee how I want to. I have a Saeco that grinds the beans for every coffee and I'd stick with that everytime. The cappucino on the Nespresso machine doesn't do it for me.
