I can/will cook a recipe without a photo, but I do prefer to have one. At least then I have an idea of what it's supposed to look like at the end! I probably wouldn't buy a cookbook that didn't have photos in it, after all what else are they good for except flicking through and looking at all the lovely pics Lol
