I've never turned it off at the wall! It probably took me an hour to work out how to set the time when we got it and I seriously couldn't be bothered resetting it everyday!

We turn other things off at the wall, like our toaster, kettle, computer and stereo system when they are not in use.

LOL - well I've never had a TV explode on me! We don't turn ours off at the wall - it's too hard to move the TV cabinet to get back there!

Sometimes I do, but the time is so easy to set and for some reason there are very limited power plugs in this kitchen (energy efficient? LOL) so I mainly turn it off so I can use the plug. I don't think that would have an effect on the touch pad though, I think some things get a bit tempremental (sp?) over time. My phone gets like that sometimes!

cheers leasha for that yeah we dont use our mic for time just for warming bottles and defrosting heating IYKWIM think tomorrow i might go see what other ones are out on the market. Both my mic's were bought 5 years ago from new so doesn't surprise me i am having issues with them at least my kettle can heat to a certain temp like 30 35 40 45 and so on degree's helps with making bottles i LOVE my kettle great also for making tea and milo for kiddies
