Hi There!

I hope it's ok if I jump in here!I'm usually a bit of a lurker sorry, used to frequent the cloth nappy threads!!! But I saw this and couldn't help but reply!

I bought my TMX 6 months ago and loved it so much after a few months I became a consultant! So yes, I have a bias! BUt like I say to people at demos, everyone has to make their mind up for themselves, it is a big purchase, I can only say what it does and how we love to use it!!

For starters, you need to get hubby to a demo. It happens over and over again that wives say hubbys won't let them, but as soon as I talk to the guys or feed them some food, or get them to a demo, they quickly change their stance!!! A demo is easy and obligation free!

Second, it won't be like the juicer (I had the same experience myself!!). It performs so many functions, you would be hardpressed NOT to use it!!! I use it for almost everything - I make our juices, breakfast smoothies, frappes, hot drinks, porridge, soups, main meals, rice, bread, pizza bases, pasta dough, sauces, dips, non-dairy milks, yoghurt (big money saver for us as I used to buy proper pot set yoghurt), custard, sorbet, ice cream mixture, cakes, muffins, peanut butter, steamed fish, vegies, mashed potato.... I could go on and on!

I used to hate that I had to make a "session" everytime I used my juicer or mixmaster. Haul everything out of the cupboards, perform one duty, then end up with a stack of mess and washing up. Now my tmx sits on the bench all the time, ready to throw in some ice, fruit and water for juice, or weigh in some ingredients for a cake or muffins, or make fresh bread rolls to eat with dinner etcetc!

If your hubby likes food, encourage him that its easy for him to use too... my hubby is not overly domesticated, but he is in charge of pizzas, peanut butter, some mains, has even been known to through in anzac cookies!!!! He made spicy salsa the other day cause he likes it.... now he would NEVER EVER have attempted these with the tmx, its just so easy, step by step and like operating a machine for guys!

I love that I can make fresh, whole additive free food and its so easy. My mum loves hers because she always uses it for at least one or 2 elements of her meals, she entertains a lot, so she puts it in charge of making sauces, gravies, custards, her slices, caramel tarts, soups and juices.

If all else fails, if you got it and weren't using it, you wouldn't lose alot if you had to pass it on - so make that one of the guarantees... that you will give it a good go or let it go!!! I love that it inspires me to do so many things i would never have tried before (I do not particularly like cooking either!)

Lisa, it would be great if you could have a demo too!!! I am in Newy too and would be able to give some examples of catering for more in the family if you like - that would help you make the decision whether it would be any good for you. Having hubby on board already would make a lot of people envious!!!

So all the best Ash, it really has changed our lives totally for the best, and created a lot less stress at meal times while the tmx cooks our dinners!! Let us know how you go!
