Kitchen Aid - cheaper to get from Amazon ?

Not sure if it is correct, but I was told that not all attachments from overseas will fit. It is not the ones that don't attach to the front, but the ones that go in the bowl area. There is a little shield where the beater connects, apparently the US models do not have that shield, so what will fit the US model may not fit Aus due to this (BTW feel free to correct me if I am completely wrong )

I've read through the long Kitchen Aid thread and I think all attachments from the US except the ice cream bowl are ok.
