Pod coffee machines

Naw ZF! We didn't get one. More a financial thing rather than doubts about the machine. It was the coffee machine, or radiator for the car we are driving . But I'm glad you are loving your new caffiene machine. .

New to the whole pod coffee machine. This may seem like a really silly question. Currently I am cutting the cover off the pod is this right?
If so it doesn't seem as clean & quick as I expected as coffee & chocolate go everywhere. I thought the lever may pop it if you know what I mean. I have an Aldi machine thought it might save me some money lol

You don't cut anything just put pod in and close handle and it pierces pod and you then press water button. Once finished you lift lever and pod will drop to container underneath. Should be no mess.

Exactly as Feeb said - sometimes if it feels like there is too much pressure i lift the lever again, collect the pod from the catcher and replace it in the machine and it works fine.

Yep we have same issue at times and do same as ZF.

Thanks ladies. I tried it the first time & nothing happened so I started opening them. I didn't think I should be opening them. Will give it another go. Thanks again

If your machine is not piercing the pods properly then take it back. You definitely should not open them. If you're not sure then comparing one of your used pods to someone else's may be useful. I've seen people bring pods into the Nespresso shop when they've been worried about their machines.

I took my aldi machine back today as it wasnt piercing the pods properly. They just replaced it straight away. Seems like a common problem.

HAs anyone heard anything about the pod machines at KMart? Thinking about saying to people at work about all putting in to get one but if they are crap i don't want to. Does anyone know which pods it takes?

I don't know about the ones at Kmart but Woollies/Safeway have them, and the Woollies pods are good.

If you don't want to use the Woolies ones you can use the Gloria Jeans ones

From memory its a Caffitaly (sp?) Machine. They have their own range of pods and you can use the Woolies ones. The ones we get are the MAP coffee pods that are made by Caffitaly
