The veggies tend to better cooked on the varoma temp for more steam.. But this will burn what is in the bowl if it's not liquidy enough (so a mash wouldn't work) does that make sense?

Got my second bowl set today!!! Yay!!
Mine hasn't showed up yet :-(
If I give my current one a really good clean tomorrow that will make the second one arrive right? :-)
Yep! That should do it ;)
Actually, plan to have a baby the week your second bowl arrives when you could actually use it because when I get home I'm sure I'll have a heap of time to be using two bowls!! Hehehehe
Ha it arrived this morning, after I just gave old one a good clean - I new it!
Hehehe yay!!! Post and ye shall receive ;)
I need to start using my TMX more.
RP - Start browsing the EDC and making one thing per day (or second day).. Porridge is a big hit in our house and so easy! Get a batch of stock happening for easy risottos and as a base for other meals, soups are great now that the nights are getting colder. Browse the recipe community for ideas or splash out on a new cook book to get the juices flowing.
Yay for new bowls!!! :happyforyou:
I was looking at mine today and both of them need a vinegar wash me thinks... Looking a bit sad they are.
RP, what's stopping you using it? Lack of inspiration? Time? Knowledge? Let us help you :)
My order hadn't even been processed from 26/4 :(
Yeah, I have to say, their system does seem to have few flaws :/
My consultant emailed them my order on a Monday and they told me they didn't receive it until 4 days later.
I know it was sent on the Monday, I got a copy of the email.
And they forgot to pack my thermomat with my order.
It's frustrating for sure.
Especially when I have to use a dr card so have to keep moving money. It's apparently cause if the offer. Yet I think my quirky cookbook is sitting at the post office
I don't actually know haha.
I'm not a fan of the meals cooked in it, I've tried so many recipes recommended by people and I just don't understand why mine doesn't taste as amazing as everyone else seems to rave about. It just seems so meh.
Plus, for the most part, my ex hated it, and everything seemed too 'complicated' for him, so he killed my motivation to use it. I don't know why he complained so much, I'm the one doing the cooking/baking and cleaning.
And I'm just so used to not using it now, that I just forget it even exists.
Dislike. That's a bit annoying!
RP, have you tried risotto? Soup? Anything from Quirky Cooking? My DH doesn't like the texture of steamed meat so we don't use it for a lot of all in one meals but its an invaluable kitchen helper for me. We also use it almost every morning for porridge, pancake batter, butter or CADA. It doesn't have to be used for main meals every single day.
Now, where have I heard that before...? ;)
I tried the mushroom risotto..and I found it a bit bland. I might give other ones a shot.
I LOVE the pumpkin soup, but no one else in this house will touch it, but I could make and freeze it for me. Now I want some!
I tried the chicken and brown rice soup from the Quirky website..everyone raves about it but I found it really disappointing.
I use it for baking a lot, just haven't baked that much recently.
It's holding up my choc cookbook so that's more annoying lol.
I got my QUIRKEY book today. Don't think I should have got it
We aren't crazy about the chicken and brown rice soup either.
I love the chicken and brown rice soup :) But yeah saw the contents of the Quirky cookbook and decided against getting it.
The mushroom risotto is very bland. Throw in bacon, mushrooms, chicken, cream, anything to beef it up!
