Just subscribing, I have a had a thermie for about 18 months and LOVE it.
Can't wait to gate crash this thread soon (too late?), I ordered a Thermomix on Friday and can't wait for it to arrive! Bummer I'm having surgery next week and won't get to use it straight away. I've been looking through all the recipes online and can't wait to get started!
I still can't believe my DH agreed to buying one, I love that man![]()

Just tucked into a slice of TM sourdough bread with butter. Mmmmmm so delish! I love my TM.
Made the coconut butter cake in it this morning - so quick and easy. I cut the sugar back to 200g, but it was then a bit too buttery!
What sourdough recipe did you use?
I'm making shepherds pie tonight. Mashing potato at the moment, going to mince my lamb next. Never minced anything before.
Well dh and I were quite happy with the consistency of the bolognaise last night. I chopped all the vegies for half the time and speed of the receipe. Then I cooked the meat on stir only instead of 1. Just need dh to reveal his secret ingredients cos his Bol tastes better than mine, but he won't tell me, lol!
I'm yet to try to brown rice soup, that's on my list. Along with a million other things![]()
Rotary hoe.
I am in.
I have seen the light.
But, I wanna try and order when the freebies are at thier best.
Any idea what the best freebies are and when they would likely be coming around again?
Teehee 'rotary hoe' silly autocorrectand yaaaay!!! LtD!!!
I got mine in November and it was the varoma cookbook - do not recommend that at all. It's dreadful.
This month it's a toolkit with the TM logo all over it. Cool I guess if you don't already have all the tools, but wouldn't rock my boat.
I reckon the best months are are interest free finance if you're into that (we bought ours outright so didn't worry me) or the ones with the half price second bowl.
If you sign up to the newsletter they let you know what's coming.
Thanks Kim,
I will be buying outright, but it will be my Chrissy present.
Saw the tool kit, didn't really float my boat.
My aunt got hers last Christmas and she said she got heaps of good stuff. I am thinking that maybe nov/dec is the way to go, as much as I want it now, we are just about to drop a mega load of coin on a shed and I don't want to use up all of my gratuitous spendings in one go.
It will feel like Christmas more if I get it then.
Will stalk you all while I wait.![]()
Yippee trish!!
It depends what you want? I got a second thermoserve which is awesome. Sometimes they do s cheaper bowl or a cheaper thermomat. Or a bag. What do you want?
The washing powder turned out excellent! And at 15c per wash woot! I'm hoping it will help DH's eczema.
Eye don't knowwwwww.
That's why I needs you to tell me.
By second bowl, do you mean the thing on top, or the thing that has the blades?
I don't need a tea towel, or an apron or a dodgy cookbook like the one Kim got.
Is the funny spatula thing good?, or the steamer basket?
Ahh, feck it, you know I won't be able to wait till December.
I want make an orange cake with a whole orange.
Just 'cos.
The bowl is the whole thing with the lid and blades.![]()
LTD it comes with the spatula and the steamer basket and the varoma, this all included. Plus one thermo serve. On top of that you get other free stuff.
The toolkit doesn't float my boat either. I waiting to have another demo and get some free stuff... But the toolkit doesn't do it. Another thermo serve might be a good one.
A second thermoserve would be great. They're really handy. Otherwise, I really like the thermomat - that was my extra pressie. I almost never use the spatula - just use normal flatter, thinner ones that get under the blades better and are a bit more flexible.
I guess I will just have to get what I get, ultimately i don't really get much of a choice if I get it in the next month or so.
DH is just rolling his eyes evry time I talk about it
I will win him over with salted caramel sauce.
I do feel terribly disloyal to my beloved KA though.![]()
I got the tool kit which I quite like as I didn't have any of the things in it or not good ones at least but am still waiting to do demo and get thermosever as has been cookbook stand (lame lame lame especially when TMX is about saving space) and toolkit again. I would like the thermomat I think.
LTD - I used to nuke my porridge in microwave but now I use the TMX as is easier to clean and doesn't seem to superheat so much so I don't have to wait for so long for it to cool down enough to give kids.
My aunty and cousin both had KA before TMX my cousin has now sold but my aunty can't bring herself to even though she never uses any more.
I still use my KA. There are just some things Thermie doesn't do well.
