Rory hit the nail on the head re carbs (specialluhigh GI ones) giving you a sugar craving. High GI carbs give you an insulin spike in the body and only 20 mins after eating a meal, you think you are hungry, hence the sugar craving.:
Anyone got any ideas about how to get rid of the sugar cravings?
To combat this:
Eat low GI carbs (salad, veggies, baked potato, basmati rice) instead of pastry items.
Or eat some low carb fruit (strawberries, melon) when you get the craving.
Div, I have found that if I avoid the processed carbs in the evening (and just have meat adn salad and meat and veggies) then I do not get the sugar craving....
For those worrying about tickers etc, I will finish them all today.
