Another thing is that if you are breastfeeding whether or not you have fed before a weigh in can make a dramatic change. I saw a 2kg difference when i measured at the same time the next day - only once was before andonce was after a feed.

    Here is the recipe.

    Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Penne

    Serves 4
Points Value per serve: 6.5 points
    Preparation Time: 15 minutes
    Cooking Time: 25 minutes
    Level of difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients

350g dry pasta (penne) (I use wholemeal)
Olive oil extra light cooking spray
125g Weight Watchers bacon, thinly sliced
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
4 individual shallots, ends trimmed, thinly sliced
    400g button mushrooms, thinly sliced
    1/4 cup white wine (60mL)
1 cup evaporated skim milk (250mL)
    1 egg yolk
    1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

    Method

Cook pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water according to packet instructions. Drain and return to pan.

Spray a large non-stick frying pan with oil and place over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Add garlic, shallots and mushrooms and cook for a further 3 minutes. Pour in white wine and reduce by half.

Whisk milk and egg in a jug. Reduce heat to low and add egg mixture. Cook, stirring, for 2-3 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly (do not boil). Remove from heat.

Stir in half parmesan and parsley and season to taste with salt and pepper. Add to pasta and toss until well combined.

Divide pasta among serving bowls. Top with remaining parmesan and serve immediately.

This is so yummy, I made it for tonight's dinner, it is a Weight Watchers Recipe and is only 6.5points per serve. I halved this recipe as I just made it for me and DP. It is low fat.

    Enjoy!!

I am not on the list either Daintree Dream and after all my hard work too! Apparently you only get listed if you do weight AND measurements. Since it's not as i understand an "official" competition with prizes etc.....and moreso for group motivation and support i am not sure why we can't be included? I felt really sad and demotivated for a minute when not included (LOL- prolly PMT!!) I understand that each can be a good thing to measure but i make the choice not to measure for several reasons. Maybe we could be included in brackets or something, like those in the brownlow who have been suspended and are "ineligible" but their votes are still announced?- i really don't need the glory of being the biggest loser, but i think i need the motivation of feeling included and being on the list.....any chance of a rethink on the policy Lucy???

Deanne, at the top of Lucy's first post she said she is only including those that send her weight and measurements.

That looks tasty queenbee. I wish I could afford to join WW online.

They are having a special at the moment. $89.95 for 3 months, save $24.95. Otherwise, if you get the latest WW mag, they are waiving the $30 joining fee?

I did not realise that I would not be included because I am only going to send in my measurements every 4 weeks If I had known that I would have sent them, as now I no longer feel like part of this thread challange.

Either way I am going to continue with my lifestyle change as I have 7 weeks and 2 days until my wedding my lose over the last week was 1.3kgs and 7cms. I am happy with that and I am still really motivated within myself to continue.

I think everyone is doing well... For those who havent been added to the 1st post dont dispair you are all still part of the challange and should feel good about being on the road to a healthy life... we all need support during tyhis time and like someone mentioned its not a competition, there is no prize except victory for yourselves... Hang in there we can all do it... just dont give up and do it for yourselves...

Hugs to those feeling left out maybe post your own %... just remember we all need EVERYONES support...

Thanks for the recipe Queenbee... I did start a thread with recipes but not many people have added theirs to it

Also before the thread was closed my last post about a calorie counter.. the link is http://primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/...alculat.htmwas just incase anyone wanted it.... it was quite good to know what the little things add up to be... so if you know what you need to burn off you can choose a 1 or 2 of the bigger burners or a couple of the smaller burners...

Well missing my DP a lot more then i expected to.... the kids are stressing me out cos there missing him and DS is feral at the best of times and with DP not here he's a freakin nitemare.... so i had a bad day yesterday i got the excercise right but had a slice of cake (chocolate) 2 cadbury "fury friend" choccies and dinner was a stirfry with rice... (not too bad shouldnt have had the rice) but after dinner i had a cuppa with some biccies too...

Today wasnt much better unless shopping for an hour counts as excercise?? I did do some cleaning which was better then nothing but still no walking or Wii... I had cherios for breakie, lite ham and salad roll (lettuce, tomato, cuccumber, grated carrot) country grain roll from bakers delite...... Dinner i just had a salad.... if i'm hungry later i brought plenty of fresh fruit... YUMM... DP comes home tomorrow arvo YAY so hopefully after that i'll be able to get out alone and get some fast paced walking in....

    >... Oh someone asked how many calories burned during sex i found out its like 4-5 per minute... another website lets you put in foreplay and actual intercourse times and it works out how many calories... so i tried 176 pounds (80 Kgs) with 30 mins of foreplay and 30 minutes of intercouse and its 58 during foreplay and 169 during intercourse...
