i went for a 40min walk today, but when i first set off, i realised i forgot my sunglasses. They were hanging from my top, so when i walked back home i looked where i walked. Not there! They're not in the house. I've lost them! Not happy Jan! Its so hot today, i hope to go for another walk this afternoon when it's cooler. Hopefully persuade dh to come with us! Someone mentioned that they didnt weigh in this week, so as to surprise themselves next wk. Me too.

I'm feeling really guilty i have had a really bad day today. The worst I've had since starting this challenge. I know deep down its OK to have a slip up as long as i get back on the wagon but the guilt is horrible i just feel SO disappointed in myself

First i skipped breakfast and had a take away skinny latte at the shops. For lunch i had home made pizza with low fat chs and lots of vegies on it (not great but not too bad iykwim) By mid arvo i had a headache and realised i had nothing to drink all day except the latte. NO WATER and it was 42 degrees in Perth today. Then i picked DD1 up from DC and she was all grumpy and missing daddy like crazy so to treat her i took her McDonald's with a friend with the intention of having one of the salads but NO i caved and had a McChicken meal. I did share it with DD2 and i did get diet coke but still. Now I'm feeling all bler as I've had no junk and then this sudden over load but worse than that is the guilt. I feel so lazy today and i miss DH and don't know how I'm going to cope for another week alone with the girls. Although i have lost pretty much 4kg to date i cant see it, i don't feel it and no ones noticed.

Sorry girls for the yuk post but i guess it depicts my mood. I'm going to go play on the wii for a bit and hopefully some exercise will help me feel a bit brighter but if not off to bed and tomorrow is another day. I am going out with the IL's for breakfast so i know that will be challenging too *sigh*

Sorry for the long moody post but as it depicts how i am feeling.

Hoody, it's hard when you feel stressed and emotional. I'm a really big emotional eater too. You seem to have to opposite problem to me though- you do better with your DH around and I don't! My DH is my enabler, he just went down the shops and brought me a mars bar....which I should have said no to but of course I ate....Stupid woman!
Tomorrow will be a better day for you, I'm sure. Maybe just try to be more active with the girls or something, can you get a freind to come with you and go to the beach or pools maybe? I went to the pools with DH and my kids the other day and it's surprising how much exercise you really do. I ended up falling asleep with DS afterwards for 2 hrs!
    Hope youf eel better tomorrow.

Hoody, that doesn't sound like SUCH a bad day, food wise!!

Don't beat yourself up. Did you know that even Rosemary Stanton (ie: food dictator who stops you eating anything super-tasty and wants us all to eat really healthy food all the time) says it is important to look at your diet over a 2 week period? So even in her books it is ok to have fish and chips, if on the whole you are eating a heathy balanced diet without too many saturated fats.

Remember - this is the 2009 body transformation challenge - not the 16 January challenge. Gosh, if we are all being assessed on how we did on our worst day we would have all given up already! Am I right girls?

One of the things my weight watchers leader said which sticks with me is "Hungry Angry Lonely Tired". Look out for these feelings - they are often cues for us emotional eaters. I actually wrote it on the front of my food diary as a promt and it is amazing how true it can be.

I now use this mantra in two ways. First, I try to make sure I am not hungry (easy to do - but you have to plan), lonely (call a friend if you feel down!), angry (hmmm, harder to beat but get a book of inspirational quotes LOL!) or tired (this is the BIG one for us mummies - when tired you are more likely to crave sugar!).

Second, whenever I find myself eating I ask whether I am hungry, angry, lonely or tired and then deal with THAT issue instead of eating.

queenbee as nurse I am sure some of the post constipation poos are over 2kg, they look like elephant droppings lol (sorry if tmi). I also believe that when constipated you retain fluid, this is the bodies way of trying to rectify the constipation

Lillias and Roryrory- Thanks guys for making me feel better i think i was just very tired and emotional last night. AF is due or overdue i cant remember my dates but i can tell she'll be here soon iykwim so along with that and DH been away things just got to me. I ended up doing 45mins exercese after my post and went to bed feeling a bit better.

Well went out to breaky this mo but it was more like brunch. I tried to be reasonably good without restricting myself too much iykwim. I had a rash of bacon (cut off the fat) 1 piece of wholemeal toast no butter a poached egg and some fruit. Came away really full and pleased that i had enjoyed my food. My IL's have taken DD1 to the beach and DD2 is asleep so i am off to play on the wii for a bit. I am wearing my pedometer and i'm aiming for 10 000 steps or more today. Only got to 7000 yesterday so i think i can do it if i try

Hope you are all having a good weekend.
