    Hey gorgeous girlies

You are all doing such an amazing job! I thought I could keep up with this thread but I have so much going on right now I can't even keep up with the housework

Anyway... I did Tony Ferguson for a while and have one of the cookbooks. I'm happy to post a few recipes in the other thread if any of you are interested. There are quite a few yummy ones that are easy peasy to cook

did my weight watchers weigh in this morning (they are on saturdays and this challenge is on wednesdays!) and i have now lost 2kgs and a total of 29.5cms off my body (that is everything though, not just hips, waist and bust). am very proud of myself. had enough points saved up last night to have some ice cream and a couple of glasses of wine

hope you are all doing really well!! keep up the good work.

WTG Queenbee thats an awesome result.

Well i'm gonna be busy this weekend so not sure how much posting i'll get to do. I am off for a bridesmaid dress fitting this mo. The wedding is in 6 wks so its a bit of a worry with me losing weight but surely if i shrink i can have the dress taken in at last minute right? Then i am working 4-10om tonight and 8am-4pm tomo- yuk. Needless to say my mum is having the girls for me over night as i am only home long enough to sleep.

Hope you all have healthy exercised filled weekends

omg! I was just really naughty. (and im not talking the 3 tim tams i just ate!) dh just fixed our scales, and they work now. I tried them out this morning and it says ive lost 2.5kg since my weigh in on wednesday! I really shouldn't take it for gospel as the weigh in wasn't using these scales. Next weighin will be using this new figure and these scales!

I'm doing STRANGE exercice at the moment - things like shopping (which I usually loathe). Tonight's major exercise will be running around a ritual circle for the full moon.

ok, so the 2.5kg was wrong! The lesson: Don't put your scales on the carpet!! On the tiles, i put back on the 400g I lost!! But I intend to work my butt off through the next week coz I'm going to a wedding in a few hours, and wedding receptions are always full of temptations! I want to lose that 2.5kg for real!!!

some-one was after the fried rice recipe earlier...
    Here it is!!

SINGLE SERVE FRIED RICE (Weight Watchers Points: 6)

    1/3 cup brown rice
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1/2 tsp grated ginger
    1 crushed garlic clove
    60g chopped lean ham
    1/2 cup baby corn
    80g green beans
    1/4 chopped red capsicum
    1 chopped green shallot
    2tsp soy sauce
    2 tsp hoisin sauce
    3tsp rice wine vinegar

    1. Cook the rice following packet instructions
    2. Heat an oi-il sprayed, small non-stick frying pan over medium heat, pour in egg and cook for 15 seconds or until set. Remove and chop roughly.
    3. Re-spray pan and add ginger, garlic, ham, corn, beans and capsicum. Stir-fry for 3 minutes , or until vegetables are tender.
    4. Add rice, shallot, sauces and vinegar. Stir-fry until hot and serve.
(note: Chop beans and capsium to the same size as the corn so everything will cook evenly.)

That omelette recipe sounds yum Lucy I'm going to try it for lunch or breakfast this week.

Well, we went out for dinner last night and considering the menu was an "american 60's" style (ie hamburgers etc, I think I chose the "better" option - a lamb pie (didn't eat the pastry) with steamed veggies. However, on the way home we decided to indulge and got Gelare cookies and cream icecream...mmm....

eta: mmm yum that fried rice sounds yummo too rhiannon

WTG queenbee on the loss too!!

I just went for a follow up appointment with the dietician, I havent been for a couple of months, and I am really dissapointed that I am 600gm up on what I was since I last saw her. I am really frustrated because I am working my a$$ off and not seeing the results yet- however I will not dispare, I will just keep going.
She did do a body fat/ lean muscle test thing and I was horrified when I realised I have as much body fat as I do lean muscle (I guess that bone must be included in the muscles measurement), so bascially half of me is FAT!!! That is a greaet incentive to keep up with the excercise healthy eating.
So now she has told me it is time to start calorie counting- I am a bit freaked out by it, just because it is going to be a big shift in thinking for me, and it is going to challenge a lot of the misconceptions I have abut food & eating. But I need to do this, and hopefully by doing this now I will have ingrained healthy eating habits into my children so they too do not have to go through this when they are older.

Anyway wish me luck and will power this weekend, we have 2 birthday parties and a christening to go to (tip for myself, stay away from the snack table)

Rhianon, how do you find WW? I am on it too online. I really love it and find that I fill up really well through the day and still have points over (I have 20 points limit). I also earn points for walking everyday. There is a new thing online where you can select "filling foods". It is really good, keeps you fuller for longer. I try to stay away from empty points, they keep you satisfied in the short term but then you feel hungry in an hour again. Do you like the program? My sister lost 55kgs on it. It is the only thing that works for me because I can eat everything and still have a treat with points I have saved. More like healthy eating than a diet. I like counting points (some people hate it) because online, I just leave it up on my laptop and enter it through the day as I go. Very easy.

I think that FRIED RICE recipe is in the latest WW magazine this month too! Was going to make it as it interested me and then you posted it!!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend

Can anyone tell me how bad alcohol is when you're watching calories????

I had an unexpected big night out last night and need to know how much I have to burn off today!!

I didn't mix it with softdrink - only Cranberry Juice..

Queenbee - I'm not officially on WW, but using my mil's old books. I have a 22 point limit right now, but only seem to eat between 18 and 20! It really makes you think what to eat and what not to eat! I lost 8kg on it last year, then hit a plateau and kinda stopped. I'm planning to lose heaps this time round and stick to it.

I did get the fried rice recipe from the WW mag, tried it out (the single serve one) and thought it was delicious and good in points enough to share!

I didn't get my walk in yet, but will this afternoon ! Hopefully I can drag dh for the walk too! When I went out yesterday he and his friend went for a walk with ds. Wont walk with me, but will walk with someone else!

Hmm it was a bit heavier than wine...

Vodka and Cranberry and Jager and Redbull (and lots of it )

Really not feeling up to any exercise today but I am one determined chick so I'm just going to do it even if it kills me!!!
