The last two nights I've woken up at 4am with my stomach grumbling feeling so hungry! Not sure why because I'm eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacking on fruit. Had an off night last night and we had pizza for dinner, it was yum and I only ate a couple of slices (normally I could eat half the pizza!).
-
Laranna - your metabolism is speeding up, that's why you are hugry. You are burning more calories
-
OMG you girls can talk!:lol::lol:
I was out all day yesterday, had to visit an old boss of Dh that has cancer...and we ate Maccas on the way home!:doh:
Buuuuuut, today as soon as MIL took my eldest, I literally threw my youngest in the 3 wheeler and walked to Aldis to get a few grocery items and it took, including the 10 mins I was in the store just under 2 hours. so basically I hope I have walked off my butt!
We just signed up with Famers Direct and this arvo we have our first vegie box arriving...delivered to our door. Can't wait. Not only will it save us time and money (by not buying crap we don't need), we will have super fresh AUSSIE grown F&V.
Have been keeping up with my water which i find really easy to do. Just need to cut back on the coffee but my goals this week is to move more. Next week, on top of moving more I will stop nibbling when I cut the kids dinners up, stop eating the crusts I cut off DS#2 toast, stop licking the serving spoon. Does not sound like much but over a week, it will add up...namely on my butt and thighs!
Mothers day - I have requested fresh seafood! Yummo! Hope everyone sticks to their plans / goals over Mothers Day!!!! hint hint girls.......;)
Okay, off to tidy up outside.
Turkish - Love your location! I really should upgrade my membership but can imagine what DH would say. Meh!!
xxxx
-
Isabel, I love the reward system! I have wanted GHD hair straighter for about a year now... If I reach my goal I get one! YAY Re the shakes, I can see the attraction (the promise of weight loss) however a prefer a lifestyle change which can be sustained forever
Nai your jog is awesome! I remember the days when I ran 3km in 20 and gosh it felt great! I don't think I will be running again though as hopefully I will be pg soon! But it is a long term goal of mine down the track.
Cookie (another temping name hehehe) I was never an apple fan until about 6 months ago, huh? go figure!
Sas I also feel cranky that my DHcan do whatever and eat whatever and still be a lean mean fighting machine! Did you read my post re the body composition monitor I have? He is 32 in real life and his body age is 17! Fortunately he is a good influence when I want to eat well and will never eat the bad stuff if I don't want it
Kazbah the alcohol is hard for me too I loooooove red wine!, last night was my final hoorah for this 12 week challenge and hopefully I'll be UTD in the next couple of days anyway! What I find is a great substitute at parties etc is crushed ice with soda water and add some frozen mixed berries and fresh lime chunks :)
Laranna mmmmmmmm PIZZA! It's my absolute fav!!! DH and I have a deal that if we get Pizza I can have 3 slices and we have to have a big home made salad so I actually eat it guilt free. 3slices of eagle boys regular base vego pizza is only 450 calories so that's fine
Scone well done on that weightloss!
Kazbah the drink bottles are a great way to get the water in... That way you don't loose count
Turkish that sounds like a great workout well done honey... And LOVE eating, my taste buds love flavor! DH says that I am a slave to my taste buds, not my stomach
Ali enjoy your wii fit
Belfie Welcome
Aamy hello my beautiful ttc buddy... Thanks for telling me about this challenge
Krysalyss I love the sound of your plan, I'm sure you will see results
Vixstar Famers Direct sounds wonderful :p
Hello to everyone else and keep up the good work!
-
Laranna! You tease! I am craving pizza sooo badly!! We don't have a pizza shop in town (well we do but it is awful AND expensive) so the only time we have it is if it is brought hom from Canberra... once in the four months we have beenn here. We were pizza addicts back in VIC so I miss is so much!
Ohhhh Cherished a GHD!! I might have to put that on my list... although I have a pretty extensive one already... Thatg part alternative to wine sounds delish - bit like a virgin daiquiri or something! Mmmmmm daiquiris *sigh*
Vixstar I think you have a great plan in place, and you are totally right, the serving spoon, the crusts, the nibbling, it soo adds up ;) You will do great! I hope you enjoy your delivery of Farmers Direct... which for some reason has reminded me that I have to call our gas company, I think we have a leak..
BBL girls! xo
Oh and Turkish is that true - hunger means metabolism is kickstarting again? That's great, at least I know it's for good reason!
-
Ladies, i'll be offline all weekend.
So goodluck and be good.
Happy mothers day to all!
-
Hehe hello back at ya cherished!! :wiggle: i have a pink GHD LOVE it =D

-
ok so I joined Weight Watchers on the weekend and hoping it isn't too late to join. I have PM'd Trill my details
So my motivating factors are; before I fell pregnant with DS I had lost about 10-12 kgs and then since having DS I went back to the weight I was before I lost it all then I have only put weight on instead of losing cause I am eating the wrong foods, my sister is getting married in Feb 2010 and I am a bridesmaid so I want to feel comfortable, sexy and confident when I am standing up in front of everyone. According to the BMI I am obese and while I know BMI isn't the be all and end all but I felt a lot healthy when I weighed less.
So I am starting with baby steps of 5%, 5 kg, 10%, 10kgs, 15kgs, but ultimate goal is about 30kgs. So this is the first step. I am still b/f so I have to be conscous of not loosing too much too quickly.
So I look forward to keeping up with all you lovely ladies and sharing our challenges and successed togehter
N xxxooo

Welcome N it is great to have another face on board!
-
Maybe I should get one of these avatars - anyone else noticed how nice and skinny they all are. I can live vicariously in cartoon format
-
sas  yeah they are like grown up brats dolls who are absolute Hotties!
njd Welcome and YAY for you taking the first step
-
Wow you girls can talk, I'm still b/fing so I have to be careful what I do, I did the New Years Body Tranformation and I found that I can't cut down to much on food but I have been eating healthy since the beginning of the year I have lost 5.1kgs so I'm happy with that. I fell off the wagon a bit at Easter but my DH has brought me a cross trainer and exercise bike so I'll be able to do that, I also have the Wii fit, but have to really try hard to find time to use that with all the boys.
I hope I'll be able to keep up with you girls.
-
LOL sas love I think we all do! I am due to update mine (every six months) but I have decided not to. Will make it one of my goals I think. Beeee-sides I love my current avvy and once I lose weight I might decide I am worthy of keeping it, mid riff and all LMAO!!!
Hi AmandaJ!!! I can't believe your little one is almost seven months old. Where on earth did the time go?!!!
-
Wow I am just trying to catch up with everything. It has been busy in here!!
I am completely knackered today. This morning I had bootcamp at 5:30am for 45min, it was a really hard session too, felt like torture at the time but boy I felt good after it. Then I can home and as I had my Mum here today to help with the kids I cleaned the house as well so there is a bit more exercise!! But my muscles feel really sore tonight. Did heaps of leg stuff at bootcamp so I think by tomorrow I will hardly be able to walk lol. Feels so good to be doing it though. I managed to keep the water up in the morning but fell behind a little in the afternoon.
I have decided on my goal present. I really want my eternity ring and I told DH that if I get to goal he has to get it made for me :D I am sure that is not the way you should receive your eternity ring but I decided it is something I really want so it will give me motivation to get to goal.
What has everyone else decided on as a goal motivation/present?
Cookiemonster I love your Av to. It is very sexy.
AmandaJ Wow 5.1kg that is fantastic. Keep up the great weight loss!!
Sas85 The av's are cool hey. I only wish I looked like that in real life!
NJD Welcome. It is nice to see another face on board. Good luck. I bet you will be one beautiful bridesmaid!
Amy Have fun cleaning. I think cleaning is a great workout of you get into it. Put on some funky music and dance your way through it!! Yay to you having your house back to yourself.
Turkish Have a great weekend.
Hi to everyone else. I hope you are all going well. Have a nice night.
-
I've been up since 4am (couldn't sleep cause I was hungry!) and so I've been getting everything ready for DS's first birthday tomorrow YAY! We're having afternoon tea and so there will be lots of tempting treats. I suppose I might have one or two just cause it's a special day :) Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Didn't get any formal exercise done today but have been on my feet non-stop. Now it's time to sit down and relax.
ETA: ktgirl my goal/motivation present is a stunning wedding dress :D
-
Morning ladies
Ktgirl I too have an eternity ring which I am waiting to receive  We got it made at the same time as the wedding ring and DH said he would give it to me when I least expect it... I was 'expecting' it at around 12 weeks of pregnancy but sadly that never came :( Now I am expecting it next time OR our 1 yr wedding anniversary but gosh I REALLY want it NOW! If I hadn't already made the GHD deal I would have totally made a deal for my ring, but silly me I didn't even think of it! Well done for being in the challenge and you will get your eternity ring
Laranna happy birthday to DS :happybirthday: when is your wedding?
AFM I've been eating really well since I read the Gabriele Method book about 2 weeks ago (it's not a 'diet' btw)... It has a cd (mp3 download from the website) which I listen to every night and I don't know how but it just motivates me? I can recommend it if anyone is keen.... Something I changed since reading the book is my breakfast, a few years back when I was at my physical peak I used to have a smoothie for breakfast and a freshly made juice. I have started the smoothies again I am not hungry until lunch time (which is a HUGE difference for me) When I used to have toast and fruit I was starving by 10am) Anyway the smoothies have organic rice or oat milk, Freshly made LSA and flaxseed oil, a dessert spoon of oats, whey powder, banana or frozen berries, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, ice, natural yogurt (sometimes)and I put in some sprouts or mung beans (whatever I have got) and it gives it a lovely fresh taste and includes more vitamins with the 'living'food component mmmmmmmmmm YUMO I'm gonna go and make it now and than do a workout at some time today as well as helping dh with the landscaping:leap:
Have a great day everyone
-
Sorry selfish post!
We're out for the day and I think Ill get subway for lunch so we're still good. Then we have dinner out tonight for SiL's 18th which will be unhealthy, which peeves me to no end but i think we will try and do an extra walk tomorrow or something to make up for it. I'll try and be good but the meals (set) are already paid for.
Laranna - that is my final goal. Getting to set my wedding date and go shopping for that stunning dress. Once I am down to a good weight DF will have to stop putting it off and make it work!
Okay gtg! Good luck today girls!
-
So yesturday I went for a walk pushing the pram for about 30 mins, really upped the intensity compared to yesturday. I have really been watching what I eat. Today I am hoping to go for a walk/jog
I am craving chocolate, chips and biscuits so bad but I keep remembering that I really want to loose the weight really badly
For those struggling with drinking enough water have you thought about herbal teas and letting that cool to drink? peppermint tea is great for digestion and dandeline tea tastes like coffee but without the caffiene for instance.
mmmm cherished, that smoothie sounds really tasty, what is a LSA mix? I might have to add this to my morning I think....
:happybirthday: for you DS Laranna Have a fantastic day and try and resist some of that good party food. I am  to say but I was able to eat a whole dominoes pizza which was really unnecessary but I just couldn't help myself, I would eat 4-6 pieces when it arrived and then the rest over the night, I think it was because it was there. That is definitely my secret don't have crap in the house.
Yes Sas I definitely live through mine, hoping to look like her one day lmao
I think an eternity ring sounds like a good idea Ktgirl I have been thinking of rewarding me with smaller things as I reach my goals, like an ipod once I reach 5% goal and stuff like that to help keep me motivated.
Great effort AmandaJ, I know I have fallen off the wagon many times but try and focus on now and tomorrow and eating healthy.
Hope you get the cleaning out of the way early aamy so you can enjoy the house with out your step brother. At least the cleaning will be some good exercise.
Have a good weekend Turkish Delight, loved you heart rate test, at least you know it works ;) Hope the hunger pains also mean the metabolism is kicking in cause I am feeling awfully hungry but take it as a good sign.
Could you try and choose a salad or something for tea cookiemonster or say dropping the chips? at least with no Pizza shops it makes it easier to resist. I have come up with a healthy Pizza reciepe on mountain bread if you are interested I can PM it to you. I am going to try it out this week. Hope you have a good day anyway..
Vixstar, what a huge walk you went on and Farmers Direct sounds great, we have a farmers market here that I am hoping to get too more often to get some good quality fruit and vege.
Hi and Sorry to everyone else.... hope you have a great mothers days with your families and make sure you spoil your mums
-
morning!
Cherished - that smoothie sounds way cool, how though do you get fresh LSA?
Cookie - make the best choice you can and you won't regret it ....
Goodness NJD - great job with the jog / pram push yesterday!
Us - well i'm just clearing junk out of the fridge / freezer of junk ... any one have any low-fat quiche recipe? My recipe uses cream which isn't the most low-fat (even when using low-fat!)
-
Yay I'm off to do a work out :p
Kazbah & njd LSA is Linseed, Sunflower seed and Almonds about a dessert spoon of each and blend it in the blender first than add everything else. You can make up the mix ahead of time and put it in the fridge in an airtight container or snaplock bag, it's good for about a week... but I prefer to just mix it up daily. You can also buy it in the supermarket already made up but it is NOT good that way as the Omega 3 in the flaxseed goes rancid when it is not kept cool after being blended so make it yourself at home HTH... you will feel great if you do add it to your morning... Helps keep you regular too in the loo iykwim heheheh

Hi everyone! Too many posts I can't keep up.
Have been pretty good since my last post. Soccer game last night and training today so that is my exercise. Plus am going to the wiggles concert this afternoon (cycling there with DS) so am sure to wiggle my booty a little bit there.
My XXX pedometer broke. So grumpy as it really never did what it was supposed to and always fell off etc. Will have to look for a different brand.
Just had the most awesome salad - lettuce, tomato, beetroot, carrot, green olives, tamari almonds, green sprouts.
And tonight we are having vietnamese spring rolls which are so yummy and you can pretty much eat as many as you want:
Rice paper, lots of salad, diced firm tofu marinated in kecap manis and sweet chilli then grilled, spring roll dip (I make my own with lime juice, kecap manis, touch of sugar, sweet chilli and some water to thin).
Soak to paper in hot water and roll up with lots of the salad plus some tofu and sauce and eat. You can also use meat though but choose something lean like chick breast.
Anyway happy mums day for tomorrow. We are having a picnic in the park. Yay!
-
There is some serious motivation in here at the moment- there nothing like seeing other inspired people to help inspire you along.
I agree that it is really good to have a reward/ goal to work towards. My original goal from when I started in the New year challenge was to loose 30 kgs (by my 30th Bday in Jan) and then have a shopping holiday in Melb. I am still working towards that, but as we are thinking about TTC#3 from the end of the year I dont want to go on a big shopping holiday and then not fit into any of the clothes I have bought. So for now I am working towards being able to by and wear an beautiful dress when we go out for my Bday.
I had a PT session this morning, it was a kickboxing session and I worked my bum off- I feel so much fitter since I started my training at the start of the year. I have also signed up to a 12 weight lose challenge with my PT group- starting 1st june, so extra motivation and it nicely overlaps this one. The winner of that challenge % weight loss, wins 1 month of free training.
I felt very self controlled today, the family had HJ's for lunch, but instead of sucumbing like I usually do, I got Sushi from the shop next door.
I hope everyone has a successful weekend, and Happy Mothers Day to all you yummy mummies!
-
krysalyss, it is a bit hard to keep up isn't it. Well done on the soccer training and I am sure between the cycling to and wiggling at the concert you will definitely have burned some calories.
Ali, a nice dress sounds like a nice compromise especially if you are going to have another bubba towards the end of the year. I have to admit this PT/bootcamp thing is starting to sound good, might have to see if there is a local group here doing something similar that I can join. Goodluck hope you win that months free session.
Thanks Cherished for clarifying, will definitely add that to my diet.
Speaking of personal trainers, I have a few q's...
how much do they cost? how do you pick one? is a male or female better and what do they do exactly??
ASF I went into town today, spent about 2 hours walking around the shops pusing the pram, resisted bakers delight custard scroll (always have one when I am in town), resisted the handmade chocolates (it has been over a week since I have had an actual chocolate and I use to eat it everyday ) Uhhhh but have to say I caved at lunch. I ordered DS a cheese and avocado toasted s/which on multigrain bread and I had a vegetable quiche and salad. When the sandwhich came it was on white bread but I didn't send it back. Then as I gave DS 1/2 a banana while waiting for it to come out he only had about 1/3 and I ate the rest as well as my quiche  at least I didn't eat the pastry on the quiche I left that. I think next time I will order a 1/2 serve of what I want as I always eat what DS doesn't cause I hate the fact that I have wasted money and he doesn't want to eat it.
Oh well I will eat well tonight and tomorrow is a new day so I will be sure to get some more exercise in and eat well tomorrow too.
-
I have updated the last few emails/pms to come through and now have everyone I think.
Kazbah, I never use cream in quiche, only eggs, milk and bacon or spinach etc. I use 12 eggs (if we are all eating it or I am making a batch of mini ones for lunches) and 1 cup of milk, so you could replace the cream with milk and then use skim? You could also make it without the pastry, so it's more like a frittata kwim? The majority of fat/calories in quiche is in the pastry and any cheese you put on top.
CM, my trick for eating out is if you know that you wont have any low fat/healthy choices, just do the best you can. Have a huge drink of water before you head out (to help take away any hunger pains if you aren't eating till late) and then order a side salad instead of vege, dressings/sauces on the side (so you can limit how much you have on your meal), and only eat half your meal. If you can, order a smaller serve (or a pensioner serve we call it out here LOL). Most places will let you have an entree salad as a main if you ask them, or even go vegetarian for the night.
I did weight watchers before my wedding and lost over 20kg, i was also a ww group leader and learnt loads of tricks ROFL.
-
njd- I do my personal training with Step into life- they are an Australia wide franchise thing. They promote themselves as group out-door personal training. My sessions cost $14 each- and we train for an hour, including warm up, main session and cool down/ stretching. At my local gym my membership was $35 month and a PT session would have been about $20 for 30 mins on top of my membership, so I feel like I am up on the deal. Plus I really like the idea of working out in a group, I had reservations at first about being the biggest, most unfit etc, but now I just go at my own pace, but use the pace of the people around me to help push me along, I also love the social aspect of it.
My trainer is male, and once I was over the shy, Im big and unfit and he is going to judge me etc, I realised that he was really actualley very supportive, and realistic in helping me set my goals etc.
In our session we do a warm up, depending on what sort of session it is, so either some focus mit work for kick boxing, with shuttle runs, cardio obstacle course (hurdles, medicine ball carry etc), this morning we went for a jog around the block, sometimes we play soccer or volley ball as our warm up. Main workout is really about keeping the heart rate up, so lots of running, k/boxing is lots of punching and kicking on the bag with running in between. I also do toning session where we either use fit balls and weights, rubberised bands with handles, or just weight- and this is alot of strenght stuff.
I guess really it comes down to personal choice, for me it works because I have a tendency to get lazy so having someone I know is going to be kicking me up the bottom, and ringing me if I dont turn up really works.
Forgot to say before that I got my wii and wii fit , and I love it- I know it is a novelty thing at the moment, but it is fun, and I figure even if I dont use it as the bulk of my excercise, at least it is better than just sitting on the couch watching TV. I like the idea of the free step, so I can just do step ups and still watch telly. Even DH is already addicted, and he doesn't like to do excercise at all, and he is already talking about getting in his 30 mins daily.
-
Awesome work everyone - you are all really getting into this!
I havent done anything different, from what i started doing in March. Since march i have lost about 6 kg's and i havent been doing my measurements, but my SIL said to me the other day (she hasnt seen me since march), she said "wow have you lost heaps of weight?" I was stunned as she doesnt say much, let alone something like that so that was good. I can feel and see it, so can DF so thats awesome!
I met with the personal trainer who is taking the boot camp. It starts at 6.15AM on monday morning. CANNOT WAIT! its gonna be so hard but so good!!!!
There is only 8 in our group... and although im slightly apprehensive i am looking forward to it and im determined.
I wanna do some personals but there is so many and i have boxes i need to pack. So when i have a minute i will drop in..
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL OF US for sunday :D
-
AHHH! I put ON 100g. Its only 100g but still. So i had today off, and am paying for it now! Ate a creamy seafood thing today and now probably have to run off back to the john!
I did do something for ME today (coz tomorrow we're going to a car show. Then seeing mil... ). Firstly, went to the shops with dh and ds. I had a massage! I went to the library (dh and ds free!). Picked up some Weight Watchers books off the shelf that are always on request. When i got picked up, ds nappy had been changed twice (inc a dirty one, which dh can't normally change!)and ds was asleep! Lunch at a pub then some specials at bunnings. House tidyed. What a great day! It may sound boring and simple, and a day before mothers day. But i enjoyed it!
Sorry to bore you there, just thought i'd share with you! Will be walking tomorrow! I'm about to print off some signs for my kitchen saying 'the more i drink the more i shrink', 'the more i move the more i lose' and a quote from my weight watchers leader for tracking what i eat 'you bite it you write it'.
Hope every one has a fantastic mothers day!
-
i have to say, i went to a spa for the massage, not in the shop. :p
-
great motivation there Scone!
Keep going all ... I had a bad day, kids' birthday party and the healthiest thing there was the fruit punch I brought! Ahhh well. Didn't have tea tonight (didn't need it) and no alcohol tonight either, just drinking my water.
Ali - sounds like your bootcamp is brilliant!
Well, tomorrow's another day :) Have a good one all.
-
Thanks cherished, we've set the date for 15th August.
Cookiemonster, I hope that the meals are not tooooo bad but most of all I hope you enjoy your night out.
Thanks njd, unfortunately didn't get to eat too much of my party food as I was running around talking to people etc. I did manage to get a taste of my little mini ham and marscapone pizzas before they got scoffed down!
Kazbah, I made some mini zucchini frittatas for the birthday party today and they don't have cream in them but they do have sour cream. Just 8 eggs, 2/3 cup light sour cream (don't know if that is just as bad as regular cream?) and grated zucchini with some parmesan cheese.
Papillon, that's fantastic when other people notice! Good work on the loss so far.
Scone, sounds like you had a lovely day. And yes I think you can get your goal in 7 weeks!
AFM, PHEW! What a long day. I have only just sat down. DS's first birthday party was today. He's not one until Monday but we just had the party today. I made lots of goodies which I hardly got to eat because I was too busy to put food in my mouth. That's a good thing I guess! I didn't even eat a piece of his cake, although there is some leftover. There are pics of the cake on my FB if anyone wants to peek. I did a teddy bears picnic theme. Anyway, so after a long day there was no time or energy left to get dinner so DF nuked a couple of meat pies in the microwave for us for dinner. Not exactly healthy I know.
Tomorrow's going to be a bit hard with the food as I'm putting on a breakfast for my mum and family for Mother's Day, bacon, eggs, hash browns, chipolatas, fried mushroom and tomatoes, OJ. Will just stick to eggs and muffins I think. Then for dinner we are going to MIL's place and she's making a green curry which are just divine. Will definitely squeeze some exercise in somewhere.
I'm envious of all you girls with PT's. I want one too!
-
Morning everyone,
Laranna well done, it sounds like you ate relatively well considering all that yummy food you made  and it's often hard(for me anyway) to not pick at the lollies and chips through out the day.
Scone your day doessn't sound boring at all it actually sounds divine, especially the massage part :p I'm a big one for self pampering!!!
Papillon your boot camp sounds great can't wait to hear all about it
Ali your sessions also sound good... What a relief to have a such a great trainer
Kazbah was it you saying a while back that alcohol will be the hardest thing for you??? Last night I would have looooved a glass of red! The only thing that stopped me was that I ovulated and didn't want to drink if I was pg! Sadly the weight loss part wasn't the motivating factor
Trillian Well done on your loss of 20kg  and great dinning out tricks there... years ago when I wasn't vego I would always order the fish and salad cause it's a light option but now I will order a yummy salad and herb/garlic bread or turkish bread and dips... because I don't eat much bread at home it is a treat when I am out and tastes soooo good. And it's just like having a salad sandwich really. The other thing I do if it's indian or thai is not have as much rice but pick out the vegies & tofu... And dh and I always share so I don't get that mental thing of "we've paid for it so I'd better eat it" because dh will just eat it OR he will be happy to just leave it on the plate if he's full. The other thing I do is eat slowly, I know we are always told to do that anyway but when I am out I find it easier to do... I just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and sip on my ONE glass of wine.
krysalyss Your salad sounds so yum especialy the sprouts ( I love salad) and those spring rolls are such a winner! You can eat heaps of them and they are really healthy.
AFM Today I am over the moon!!! I'm 1DPO and can't wait to get a BFP this month... Looking forward to a workout today and than helping dh in the garden again. As for the weight loss I got on the scales this morning and had lost 600g which is great... hopefully it will be more by Tuesday morning... You girls are kinda putting me to shame  my workouts have started out pretty short and sweet... But I plan to make them longer and harder as I get back into the swing of things... I figure a 20 min workout is better than no workout and I feel good doing 'something'...
-
Ugh yesterday was a write-off and I feel gross! Dinner (ocean harvest - lots of seafood, salad and fruit) was wholly unsatisfying, and my one drink and 1/2 desert gave me an awful headache.
The only thing I can be happy about is that we did a lot of walking around the plaza yesterday and I drank about three times as much water as I have been.
We are going for a long walk to the park today, it seems like a lovely day and DS will enjoy it too.
BBL xo
-
Apparently DH is taking me to deBortoli and the Yarra Valley Dairy for late lunch/afternoon tea ...
oh dear.
-
Ok so ive worked out coming back to work after a weekend of no checking this site means i spend my first 20 minutes catching up hehe.
Friday night had a bad one pizza for dinner aaahhh but ive looked up a bunch of low fat low carb meals that im going to start trying out. First one was saturday night and was beef stroganoff was ok not the greatest. Walked the dogs yesterday and did sit ups before bed, cheated and weighed myself this morning. Gained like 300g. Bit depressing but just going to have to work harder!!
Have a good day ladies!
-
I really need some help!
I can't get motivated and this head cold I have is killing me! I hate winter... I can't get out and walk like I want to because it is cold as!
I really need to get some good music on my Ipod so I can cycle to that! Might need to make up a cd even with 1hr worth of music!
Can someone give me a kick up the butt with some motivation!
I feel FAT!!!

*kicks MK up bum* I agreee with the weather, although i live on the Gold Coast its cold in the morning and as soon as the sun goes down its cold in the evenings! Definately get a CD pumping, even if you do up a few so you dont get sick of the songs! You may get rid of that cold sooner if you sweat it out

had red rooster for lunch yesterday (but cous cous for breakfast and nothing for dinner). So pretty much used my daily allowance. I want to go for a walk today, but will wait til it's warmer I'm toddler free today until 2 So I should get as much done around this house as I can! I'm going to try and make dinners (coz I'm working 3-7 today and tomorrow) and maybe get out Eye Toy Play for the ps2 and give that a go!

Weather is the biggest motivation factor here too MK, but we all go out , when DF gets home from work. Turn the heater (RCAirCon) on before we leave, go out into the cold... and take a brisk 30-60 minute walk around the area. By the time we get home it is too warm for the heater, and we're both starving so dinner magically gets made quicker ;)
Probably not as easy for you to rug up three boys but maybe you can get up an hour earlier in the morning and take DS3 for a stroll and make DH cater to the kids while you're out if they wake up?
Aamy4, yes lots of catching up on Mondays. Normally I am a more prolific poster on the weekends but had a busy one!
Kaz - Oooooer I hope you were as good as you could be! Sounds romantic though!
Ali - glad to hear you are enjoying the Wiifit! Just work at it to make sure you keep going when the novelty wears off. I am using mine again at the moment, but just doing the bodytest and yoga if DS gives me enough time. I keep meaning to fill in the activity log but if i fill it in, in advance, I feel like it is cheating and I never remember to afterwards!
Pappy!!! - Sounds great darl, I hope your training this morning was all you could ask for! ie; worked you very hard, made you hurt, made you think you would be better off dying than exercising etc... I hope it all works out for you!!
Scone it sounds like you are doing really, really well! Glad you enjoyed your massage!!
LARANNA: :birthday: Happy birthing day to you and Happy 1st Birthday to DS (is it Joshua? or am I losing my mind?!!!)! I was thinking of you yesterday remembering you had DS on Mothers Day, I hope this one was less painful than the last ;) I am also envious of those with PT's. Would kill for a Gym within 50kms too. hah!
Cherished, I hope you get your BFP this month! I wouldn't worry too much about your short and sweet exercises, that's me here too. I don't want to burn myself out which inevitably always happens, so were just short and sweet here too. Walking with more difficult inclines on the better days and then I get on the boke or use my skipping rope / wii fit when I have time away from DS!
AFM! Well Saturday was a write off. But we did a lot of walking so I was okay with that. Yesterday everything was good except that DF bought me A Homer Hudson Choc Pud for dessert, which if you havent had them are absolutely TO DIE FOR. So we shared that too. I feel like I have a lot of exercising to do today to make up for it.
First up being going to the shops to get a few groceries! Am also considering walking to the post office but DS is sounding like he will need an early nap so not sure yet!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and Mothers day. I had a bad food day yesterday, but refuse to let myself feel guilty about it- I have decided that as part of my healthy lifestyle (because I don't use the word diet anymore) that there are going to be ocassions when I eat too much or the wrong thing, but that is life, the key is going to be letting that be a one off occasion and not an excuse for a 3 week eating binge.
Weather- I totally agree with it making motivation for excercise difficult, although for me I actualley find it nicer than excercise in the heat.
This morning at training we did a road run, my trainer told me I was doing a 4.4km run, and I was almost in tears at the though, I told him I thought I could only do 3km, but he was firm and told me that 4.4km was what I was doing. So off I went and even though I was at the back of the group and finished last, I would jog for as long as I could- walk and recover and start to jog again, I did my 4.4km's in 32 mins, and shaved 42 sec per KM off my previous road run time (I did 3 km last time) I was so proud of myself.
I also have a new and more definate goal to work towards, DH told me yesterday (in a lovely romantic way- see my woohoo post) that he is happy to have another baby. So I had always said I needed to loose a min of 20kg before I got pg again, and I want to start trying at the end of the year, so I need to loose at least another 13kgs.

Ooops had a bad day yesterday but it was Mother's Day so I refuse to feel guilty about drinking Pommerey French champagne ;)
Anyway back to the gym in an hour and I will see what this weeks results are and if I need to do anything different.... I don't actually feel as though I have lost any weight at all but may have toned up a bit.
