What is the tracker website to work out distance you walk?

Yeah, I find runkeeper to be pretty accurate too. But can we link up with each other on there? It always asks me if I want to share where I walk, but I don't quite know if that means to share with your friends, or to share with strangers.

I'm up for the first to 10km walk. Tomorrow is going to be a nice day, so maybe I'll get up early and do my 7.9km one. I didn't walk today, although I did get around two different shopping centres! Suppose that counts for something!

    Well done Belfie!!!!

just worked out a track that would make it up to 5.1km. it misses one hill, but still has your fav dead chook hill.

Gee thanks, maybe we can alternate b/w your place, W and PRMG's to mix things up a bit and then find out the place my friend was talking about... anyone know of a cheap double stroller that would be good for walking (2nd hand etc) my tandem has a mind of it's own (just ask Kate i cut her off ALL the time) and am looking for some a little more 'all terrain' don't have the $$ so have been checking e-bay but no luck so far

Wow 5km walks are impressive. I'm managing 2km on a good day so far... and sometimes Mr Toddler-boy insists on walking too arrrRGH. I think runkeeper told me my pace was 28minutes per kilometre at one stage!

    My progress this week:
    Mon: walk 2km (25mins)
Tues: walk 2.1km (35 mins - might I add up a big hill with 40kg worth of toddler/baby/stroller! gotta be worth some extra cals)
Weds: walk 1km (10 mins turned around due to Miss Grizzlepot), 9.6km ex bike (20 mins)

ZF - not sure on cheap double. I have a P&T sports, but honestly they're crap for tall ppl when 2 on board (my hubby has barely pushed it since we started using doubles). P.S. I feel liek I'm stalking you lol... here.... 365... do you feel flattered or what?!?!
PRM - I always thought runkeeper meant to share your stuff on fb and stuff like that? And honestly right now I'd be way too embarrassed to put my piddly walks up. holy cr@p i've just seen that you do a 7.9km walk! You go girl! I have some work to do!

LOL, feel free to join me!! I usually do it on a day where I don't have much else to do, gets me out of the house for quite a while! I rekon you're doing fantastically with your walks. My new year's resolution was to do the big walk twice a week. I think I've done it once since new years, silly weather!!!!

Oh ZF and Kate, tell me when and we'll do the big walk here too!

For sure, does it happen to go up the top of the estate where we walked last time, right past one of the MG girls houses?

No, we turn right at the end of my street and keep walking until we get through another estate and hit Plenty Road. And I have another 4km walk here too that doesn't go up the back, only downfall is that we have to cross Plenty Road.

ETA: OH *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been RAK'd!!! I posted this and my quote under my name was gone. Man I'm blubbering now...

Hey ladies. I am here to join in on the challenge! I haven't read over the whole thread as you ladies have written WAAAAY too much!! :P But i'll start off with my stats..

    Height: 167cms

    Weight 105kgs *blushes*

    Goal weight: 70kgs

I have worked out a diet plan for myself. Breakfast: 2 weetbix with skim milk and half a banana Lunch: Salad sandwich and a apple Dinner: Whatever is served up but half my usual portion.

I want to walk 45mins everyday as well as going to my local gym (my 45 mins will be walking there and back) and doing atleast 50 sit ups everyday. I also want to start jogging so might incoorpirate (sp?) that into my walks. DP wants to go bike riding on his days off so that will twice a week.

Hopefully with ALL of that and ALOT of butt kicking by all of you i will be on the track to losing weight and becoming a happier and healthy mum for my DD.

PS. Thanks ZF for kicking me up the butt and making me post in this thread xoxoxoxox
