Thanks for the tips girls. We had a look at the goals bit and we had selected that he has a physical job, which he does (he's an electrician), but I don't think he's as active during the day as the program may think. We're going to make sure he's eating lots during the day to get his metabolism going, often he'd have dinner at night and then have nothing again until mid afternoon, regardless of how important I tell him breakfast is! I packed his lunch for today, loaded him up with fruit and he even took himself off for a 50 minute walk at 6am this morning

I'm back on board today. I actually find it easier to stick to when DH's out of the house, somehow! Off for a walk in a little while.

ZF - Have you swung to some Zumba yet? I know what you mean about frame of mind, you get over the bad food. I'm finding that if I have chocolate now, I get heartburn! Back to healthy for me.

Starbright - I think the wii fit is super sensitive to things like water. I used mine one night around midnight. It was the only time I had to work out, I was so tired but I did it. At the start of the workout, I weighed in, then did the 10 minute jog, the hula hoop, step basics, and then the jog again. All up I used it for an hour. I had some water and I weighed myself again and had GAINED 1kg!! I was so p!ssed off! I could've been in bed and not gained anything! I've also found that my house scales have recorded a loss, and the wii fit has recorded a gain.

Appletree & Traveller - Thanks for the tips re the calorie counter.

    Thanks for the welcome everyone!!!

Tja83... to you- its so difficult to find your feet and your place in the world after saying goodbye to your child, good on you for having such a positive approach to life!! And what better motivation for getting into shape!!!

PakRakMG.. Thanks for the tip about the scales, i did have a bottle of water close by that i was drinking from while i was doing all the excercise!! I have a set of scaels too- it might be worth me doing my weekly weigh in on them not just the wii! I iwish i could get my hubby on board- he could definately loose a bit around his belly for health reasons, but he says his work is excercise enough- he also never eats until at least lunch time, so he oculd use a few changes... i will try and motivate him slowly by showing him just how good it all works!!!

appletree... No big birthday celebrations here for me! Getting over xmas financially (as always with my birthday right after xmas.. altough as a kid it was handy coz i usually negotiated my self a good combination pressie!!!) but our wedding Anniversary is a week after my birthday so the Saturday night in between DH and i are off to dinner, leaving the lil ones with my Aunt and Uncle!! Wont be a big one- but it will be super nice for some adult only company!!!!

Feeling a bit sore today, the whole right side of my body from just above my bum down my leg is horrible, i think i have streched something or pulled something it feels similar to the back pain i had when i was pregnant, i guess me moving around has triggered something off again, so i am looking to see the physio at the hospital, but looong waiting list there!! I will just be taking it easy today, i think too i need to start stretching more before i start working out- i usually start with yoga to warm up a bit, but i think i need a bit of a stretch routine too!

    Sorry blab blab blab blab!!!!!

Hi to everyone and happy weight loosing today!!!!

Oh man, didn't so much fall of the wagon today, more jumped off, lay down in front and let it roll heavily over top of me! Yikes, don't even want to think about how many calories I consumed, but there was macadamia nut chocolate involved, hokkien noodles for lunch at the shops, multiple icecreams and a hawaiian pizza! I feel so incredibly sick! It was bad bad bad. And still no exercise this week as the gym crèche is closed.

Nothing but soup and salad for me for the rest of the week!

    Hi Ladies!

Thought I would pop in here, as per ZF's hospitality Gotta be quick as DH is showering DS and I'll need to get him out in a tic

Getting on the healthy living band wagon, wanna shed some kg's because I'm sick of everything jiggling and I wanna wear a bikini to the beach and shorty shorts to the shops XD

I don't have scales, but I'd rather go with cm measurements anyway... which are:

    Thigh: 61cm
    Hips: 107cm
    Waist: 87cm
    Bust:95cm
    Upper arm: 38.5

I'll measure each Tuesday and post an update!

Hoping to leach inspiration and encouragement from you ladies and gents, wish me luck! xx

I'm back after weeks and weeks of not weighing in and very little exercise. I'm pleased to say I haven't regained all I'd lost either so that's a little yay, I guess. Lol.

I'm going to try harder to keep up and all that jazz too. I don't think I'll weigh in next monday, since I will be back on track properly starting then.

Big massive hugs all round and I hope you all have a great new year. (sorry it's late.)

Jewel, well done on maintaining your weightless! That is excellent work!

Welcome Helle- i track cm's too

Well, i am now officially dreading tomorrow! Have not been to the gym once this week as the creche was closed, did a few walks though and might do a zumba dvd now that i am on my own and DS is asleep. We went house hunting yesterday, i decided it would be a good change to move closer to the city, so we were looking around the balmain, drummoyne, lilyfield, rozelle area which is also where the Adriano Zumbo patisserie is (the guy from masterchef who did all of the delicious desserts) and i of course picked the biggest, most fattening thing in the shop! I had the ultimate brownie, as well as a couple of macaroons which were AMAZING! I should have just stuck with the macaroons, the brownie was kind of sloppy like it hadn't been cooked and was not worth the calories at all... Ok, had better go and do some exercise!

For the next two weeks i am going to be doing the special K challenge if anyone else wants to join in? If you check out the special K website it has the details and you get a full eating plan with recipes. Looks good so i am going to do a shopping list and get everything this afternoon. I am going to cut down the variety of the lunches as i want to make it something i can maintain when i go back to work next month.

I'm ready for tomorrow. I've had an average week, had a headache hanging around, think my neck is playing up. Got a few walks in, nothing consistent though. See how we fare tomorrow!

Hi guys. I was just wondering when the challenge ends? I really need to join something but think it may be a bit late for this challenge? Is there going to be another one do you think?

Originally i started it as the summer challenge with a goal for X-Mas but am hoping to keep this going until the End of Feb and then i might just see if we can keep seasonal ones open

I've had a loss 95.3 hoping the rain stays away so i can get in a walk this morning.

I've stayed the same, so I won't fill a spot in your inbox with that Traveller! But I'm happy that the 2.5 I've lost hasn't come back over Christmas. Now to get it moving again!

    Well done ZF!

Helle - That's a super shrinking arm you've got there!

Well i have yo-yo'd again and gained the kilo i lost, so i am back to 79... but i suppose that could have soemthing to do with the lack of excercise this week- back into it now!!! I am going to get 2kg this week!!!!

Also AF is due this week- do you guys find any thing changes weight wise with er much?? Other than the gain from eating chocolate ?????

Starbright- i usually find i lose less or just maintain when af arrives, not helped by the fact i seem to be having 2 afs each month lately! Must go and get that checked out actually!

Congrats to everyone who has done well this week!

Oops, well I completely forgot to weigh in! Will have to do it tomorrow sorry...

I did manage to get to the gym today though so feeling great! I can't believe how much it improves my mood and the amount of energy I have. I did a 4k ride, 40 min strength session, 1k crosstrainer and then the first half of a zumba class, the instructor wasn't the normal one though and was complete rubbish! Worst class ever...

It's df's bday today so I am not holding my breath for a good weigh in, we are on our way to Malaysian for lunch and I am making a pavlova as his cake!
