Well I was naughty last night. It was a very busy night at work and someone bought in mudcake and rumballs and you know how it goes when you're already stressed. Patients always bring in chocolate and sweet things like they wanna make us fatter or maybe sweeten us up lol one of the 2 hehe. Anyway, back to behaving myself again today, I am so exhausted from work I think I ran all night long so at least that makes up for the sweets...well thats what I tell myself lol. I came home and sat down to a few scotches, was so good to destress! One more shift and off for the weekend yay !
Missy- thats great you joined curves. Is it very expensive? I've heard good things about that place. And 5 kilos is awesome, congrats! doesn't matter what size you are, 5 kilos is 5 kilos! Keep up the good work! you're doing better than me!
-
Lea no its not expensive at all. Especially atm, they have a promotion on. Only $30 to join instead of the $199 joining fee. Its $59.00 a month, direct debited, or $69.00 a month paid by cash. With the $59.00 its a 12 month contract, BUT unlike other gyms the most you will pay to cancel out of the contract is $50.00 which is pretty good.
I didnt make it in today, LONG story but just didnt happen so i need to go in for my first session and so on....
Im just still wrapped about the 5kg's.... yes, over 4 months isnt huge but thats not exercising, thats purely just changing eating habits etc...
Anyhow, how is everyone today?
-
I haven't started the diet yet so I can say (without too much shame) that I had a meat pie for lunch - and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I also got a frozen coke .
I will be doing heaps of walking this weekend so I don't feel too guilty!
-
Hi All, well I was very good today . . . Until I caved this arvo and trotted down to woolies near my work and bought a block of cadbury's rocky road. Have you guys tasted this stuff? It's the best.
Needless to say my one main naughty food is chocolate. I'm not fazed about takeaway foods or packets of chippies or anything like that but my vice is definately chocolate
Hmmm, need to work through this weakness!
What is everyone elses?
Lea, sounds like you would have worked off the cake from all the running around at work.
Amysarah, have a great roadtrip.
Missymoo, good on you for joining curves.
Arimeh, sorry to hear Mehkelti has reflux. I had a terrible time with Charli when she had acid reflux. The paed put her on all sorts of meds but in the end good old Mylanta worked best for us. Have fun eating your goodies before cold turkey day . . .

Anyone else starting today?
-
Congrats on starting your diet today Mel, great start! I got up and had a couple of crumpets drowned in margarine and honey so thats my naughty for the day, I washed it down with water does that count lol. I went and got pawpaw and pineapple from the markets yesterday so will have that for lunch and quiche for tea with salad from last night. Hoping it goes well for you! I fixed up the bike seat of my bike last night....well Selena did lol, so will be able to go for a ride without feeling like I'm riding a BMX lol. Tomorrow arvo will do that, I have to work a late shift today then early tomorrow
AF came early so am not very happy with things, everything was just so spot on and then it had to stuff up on me, 3 days early it was! oh well gotta change my requested days off at work, let our donor know, lucky haven't booked his flight yet he's coming from Sydney. Might have to book it last minute! If things go to plan now we should be looking at insemination 12th and 13th December which makes 2 weeks later xmas! the first one is successful and we have a fantastic xmas present!

Where has everyone gone???
Day 3 of diet - have resisted maccas both the last two nights - monday was having a huge fight with DH and was just the easier option - but i resisted and made the planned dinner - last night we didn't get home till 6.30 and had to get the kids fed and into bed, thought we wouldn't have time - but luckily I have cut all vegies up that arvo so didn't take too long to cook.
Maccas - nil
Mellie - two
;)
-
Good on u Mel! i haven't been so well behaved and dropped into maccas on the way home from work on Monday night. Need to control myself better but its just so easy to drive thru! We bought a dishwasher yesterday and installed it today so I am very happy! Dishes are my pet hate so might make things more easier and have a clean kitchen!

Hey Girls..
sorry for my MIA... i have been head down arse up with my biz... its just that time of year everyone planning thier wedding's so just getting alot of promo stuff ready to get out there!
Well, i havent exactly started the diet so to speak, however, i am kinda following it to a degree. Did my first workout on monday at curves, was awesome. Will be going first thing in the morning...
Lea- wow you are so planned ey.... you must be so excited..so not far away!!!!!!
Ari- good on you for resisting. better than me lol :P
how is everyone else????? everyone gone quiet!!!
DF and i were talking and he said he really didnt wanna try for #3 until mid of 2009!!! I am a bit :( about it, but at the same time, give's me longer to loose the weight and get fit i spose. I must admit though, if i dont come on here, the clucky feelings arent so bad. Maybe there is alot of weight in the whole out of sight out of mind hahahahahaha
Well, it is 2am and im still up (i couldnt sleep)..... im gonna be a zombie at the gym in the morning.. lol
power to you all

hi girls,
well I have the day off today. Yesterday I felt really sick with high temps but it seems to be all gone now, not sure what that was but it seems my body has fought it off. I have to spend the whole of today doing my assignment as its due in tomorrow. All the assignents seem to pile up, I cant wait til they are all overwith and the exams are over and I can just concentrate on getting as many births as I can. I only have 21 shifts in birth suite and I need 18 births to go! I really hope I get them. I will just have to ask to do lots of night shifts as that is the time when most births happen, all to do with the hormones peaking at 3am.
As for weight loss, it doesn't feel like I have lost anything but I haven't weighed myself either. I have been getting back on track. We had fish and salad for tea last night and have been trying to eat more sensibly during the day. I wish I could find time to ride my bike. Maybe if I get most of my assignment done today I can go this arvo.
Missy- thats fantastic you have started at curves, keep it going girl! and yep we seem to be all organised. We have just finished with the donor agreement. More than being a legal document we have made it so when little bumpling grows up they can see how much we wanted them and the reasons why. At the end of the contract me and selena have written a paragraph on why we want our babe and our donor has written one saying why he is helping us and what wishes he has for them. But he will always be part of our lives anyway so it wont be the only few words they will hear from him.
Anyway, wishing everyone lots of slimming thoughts!
cheers,
Leanne:D

I feel bloated and horrible today. Can't wait to start my diet on Monday (YES I WILL BE STARTING ON MONDAY!!)
I've had a peanut butter obsession this week which is really not good. And I was so naughty over the weekend in Melbourne/Sorrento. I'm motivated to go on this diet now because I just feel so lethargic and crap!
Good to hear from everyone - Lea I hope you get your 18 births!
-
Well I fell off the wagon big time, mostly cause I was "in training" to give blood, needed to boost my iron levels! AND, may I say, they are above average! wOOHOo!
Tomorrow I'm starting with the shakes, but am goig to an 18th so that will be interesting. I also have my monthlies and have huge cravings. Doh.
But, still down @ 74.6kg, so that's not too bad.
-
Hey ladies..
How is everyone??
Lea- wow, 18 births in short time span.. i really hope you get them. What happens if you dont?
Kazbah- ahhh those craving's... they are evil!!!!! how'd you go with it all?
Amy- one day to go :o) dont feel too bad for having a free food fest while you were away.. who wants to diet when they are away anyways ?!! lol
Me- well, have attended Curves twice this week... 2 down from what i am aiming for! Its just been one thing after another this week. Food wise, ive been kinda middle, not good but not bad either lol... DF and i talked again and have set a date for the wedding (woohoo) and said we will start TTC in septermber 2009... so same month as the wedding :)
Although i really did want #3 born in 2009 (then id have a 05, 07, and 09 babies)... i also think it gives me just under a year to work on my health, we can have the wedding which means we would finally be married.. (long story but it just keeps getting delayed) and the kids would be slightly older. Although i wanted our son and #3 close too, i must admit im not coping very well right now with our daughter who is 3.5..... im hoping its just a phase but im feeling very fragile and just not coping 100%..so maybe its best to have that year ??!!!
Anyhow, i do feel good knowing a rough when lol
Ok well.. better go
Hugs to all
-
Missy - two days a week at curves is great going!!! WOOHOOO!!! Any exercise is better than none at all (ie, me!!!) LOL I'm sorry you are having a rough time at the moment - these children will test us hey!!!!!! Sometimes you just wanna put your head like this - :wall: ;)
Kaz - I wish I weighed what you do!!!!!!! Fingers crossed I get there.
Amy - good luck tomorrow - first day is the hardest!!!!
Lea - I hope you are feeling better!!!!!
Me - have not gone off diet all week - had to rearrange some stuff on the diet yesterday cos went to see a man about a car. (AND woohoo! Brought it!!!)
Weigh in day tomorrow.... fingers crossed!!!!
-
Hey all!
One day to go!! And it couldn't happen at a worse time because my stress levels are through the roof! I thought I would be pigging out big time today but luckily DH has the car at work all day so I only have access to what's in the pantry - which isn't much given our last shop was a fortnight ago!
The plan for tomorrow (I am on annual leave - perfect really!)....
Wake up and have a light breakfast (I'll be buying cheerios!)
Go for a 1 hr walk (approx 6km)
Come home and do light weights and abdominal work
Finish cleaning the house
Lunch (according to Mel's diet plan)
Pull weeds out of the garden
Dinner
Walk with DH when he gets home from work
Hopefully it will be a great kickstart and the beginning of losing 15kgs! On a normal work day I will be walking every evening with DH. Our dogs are looking quite plump so they need walking! Plus the weather is so nice and I LOVE daylight savings. :)
DH is thinking about joining the police force (very new development) so he is eager to get into shape too!
How is everyone else going?
-
Amy - ooh the police force!!! I wanted to join, but with my father being an inspector in Tassie and my sister being a cop here in Queensland...I think thats enough blue in the family!!!!!
Weigh in day here - here are the results:-
1st week
Me: loss of 2.9kg
DH: loss of 4kg
I love my diet!!!
-
oh wow Gudi - that's bloody amazing! Well done!!!!!!!!
-
Holy cow Mel that is fantastic!!!!!!
Last night Dh said to me (in a whinging sort of way) "I'm so sick of not being fit" so straight away I said "Right, put your runners on - we're going for a walk!". We went for a really long walk up and down hills and into the reserve near our house. It was fantastic and I felt so great after.
I weighed in this morning and I have officially started Mel's diet!
I walked 2km this morning and will walk another 3km this afternoon when DH gets home. YAY!
