Anyone want to be my weightloss buddy I could us a few!

Well I am in need of losing at least 20kg. I know that would be enough to make me feel good and healthier. Over the past year and a half I have lost about 20 kg through mainly takin gup running and eating better. In Jan/Feb I started felling yucky and eventually found out I was pregnant. Later found out it was ectopic. This was the start of my inactivity. I have tried to start running again but it is like starting from scratch. I am going to keep trying. I do aquafit every so often and will be joining a new gym in my neighbourhood soon. My DH is going for surgery in JUly and this is quite stressful. I am doing my best to get him healthy and eating well. I would like to use this time to get healthy so that after he recovers from the surgery (brain) we can TTC again. It will be 6 months since the EP in AUgust. So if I haven't scared you off perhaps we could work together. Accountability is the key!

Me too, me too! I also have 20 kgs to lose. And some cigarettes to kick (again ). I vote for starting on Monday as there's no way I can kick the ciggies during the week and I like things to start "fresh": ie, new week, new attitude! OK, I'm a little OCD

I too would love some real life walking buddies but I prefer to do the gym thing by myself. I did actually join the local Curves, but I haven't been for months with all the IVF crap that's been going on here.

Anyway, here's to 20kgs down

    Hi

Why don't you join the BB mid year body transformation challenge? There are many BB'ers on there trying to lose weight. We motivate, give support and advice to one another...

    Goodluck on your weightloss journey...

Hey Boobaloo and Meo I am excited to get this started! I have never done this before but I was thinking for me I need to be accountable for the food that I eat so some type of food journaling might be helpful to see how many calories I am eating. I am a healthy eater by nature I love all the good stuff but my DH brings so much junk in the house that I have developed bad habits. Portion control is my main problem as I can eat a lot!
I have some ladies I have been running with this past year and a running club I just need to make it a priority again. My life is a bit wonky since we found out about DH surgery but I need to exercise for stress relief. So it might be helpful to include daily activity to see how many calories we are burning.
Meo I used to belong to Curves and I have a weightloss book from them so I might have to check it out again for some tips!
So ladies let me know what you would like to do as far as being buds.

Sounds good! Have either of you lost weight before and if so what did you do? Has weight always been an issue?
