Well done ladies!
Just a question about measuring the waist. I read that you take the measurement across your belly button but I get such inconsistent readings. I also figure if I do it this way, any kind of bloating is going to be recorded so will fluctuate whereas if I measure where my hand go on my hips it much smaller (like nearly 10cm for me)...where do you measure?
Tinsel, I take my waist measurement as the smallest part of my torso, hips the widest part and my breast measurement around my nipples. HTH![]()
:yeahthat:
My true waist is nowhere near my bellybutton.
I measure across my belly button as that is where the government guidelines for a healthy waistline measure. But for the purposes of measuring your loss it doesn't really matter as long as you are consistent.

Well I had a great day today. Was very good and didn't indulge which I really needed to do after my weekend (which spilled over the Monday!) and did a 5km jog in a personal best time - 26 mins. So I am very happy today - woo hoo!
Hope you are all going great![]()
Double post. Sorry.
Hi all,
Well, I have had a good day here. Three meals and two snacks, lots of water, 40mins exercise (only walking). Lots of veggies, but not enough fruit, lol! I just can't get that balance right....I felt good not eating as much as I have been in the past few days, lol. My tummy needed a break!! I sent my wii off to get repaired too, so I will be able to do some wii-ing!! YAY! I'm so excited about it, I used it once when I got my wii fit and then DD broke it, that was in August last year! OK gotta go put two little rascals to bed!
Hi Krysalyss - wow congratulations that's fantastic! I'd die if I tried to run 1 km let alone 5 kms! I'm so unfit since having Amelia, before falling pregnant I was playing tennis at lunch time and going to the gym a couple times a week lol. Oh well, getting there.
I went for an hours walk with the pram today, walked to the shop instead of drove, I'm pooped now but so glad I did it. I'm really hoping for a better week than last week, although am going away with friends to our holiday house down south this weekend so will have to try and stay clear of naughty foods!
Hi Everyone else, hope you're all having a great day!![]()
Wooo just found this thread and I have time to reply because I am home sick.
Just want to say Thanks Krys I think you are doing a great job - keeping yourself motivated plus going to extra mile to tally for the rest of us - that is committment.
DH and I fell off the wagon with the exercise. He is on two week shift rotation and last week they were 6:30 shifts, too late for walking when he gets home as DS is ready for bed. I however did jump on the cross trainer on Saturday for 15 minutes and it made me feel great. Too bad i came down with cold/flu on sunday and have felt knocked about ever since. I think i have bronchitis but i am dying to get back on the cross trainer. That said not enough energy to walk upstairs let along work out!
AAARGHGH. Congrats to everyone for sticking to the game its a really good effort. I hope to be kicking butt again in a few days.
Trying to be good today, had oats for breakfast and half a banana and then for lunch has 2 chicken, cheese & spinach cruskets and half of DD1's orange and a glass of water.. not perfect but better than 2 sandwiches some cordial or softdrink.
Hi Girls - I had swimming this morning and one of my mums group friends who I haven't seen for a few weeks asked if I'd lost weight! I was so excited! Makes you wonder what you looked like before though lol.....and I still have 4 kgs to go to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. Oh well, it's a good start.
Hope the Tom Cruise and roast vegies I'm having for dinner don't blow it, I did limit the oil by using spray oil on the vegies and none on the roast as it's marinated in honey and rosemary anyway. I'm drooling thinking about it, wish it would hurry up and cook!
