I am in!!!!! Once I am over feeling like absolute death from AF, I was so so unwell over the weekend & yesterday from it. Today I am feeling better, so may get out there this arvo when DP is home on break. But gimme a start day of the 5th (tomorrow) jic lol.

Chody (so weird calling you that again LOL), what did you use to time your intervals?

Shan - I'll add you to the list when I'm back on my comp. To time I have a pedometer on my phone (footsteps) that I'm using to keep track of my 10000 steps each day and I used the timer on that.

Awesome thanks hun! I just downloaded the c25k lite android app, think I will go better not having to remind myself to look at a timer & having something telling me when to change pace lol

Has anyone else started/joined that I've missed?

Ash - How did your run go today? Did you manage to finish it?

AFM - I did day 2 on Wednesday but think I"ll wait til tomorrow to do day 3. DD and I just got back from a BIG walk (we decided to take a train into the city to have lunch with DH). The trip from home to the train station was 25 mins each way as it was, let alone all the city walking!

Great to see so many motivated people. I didn't get up at 5am to start today. Needed to be back before 6am so DH could go to work. But I felt guilty (which is great!) like I was letting down our little team by not doing it so I got on my cross trainer for half hour Better than nothing. Tomorrow I've not got any concrete plans so I will get DD in the pram and go for a walk/run. Found lots of awesome quotes on pinterest (anyone else use that?) about goals, running, exercise last night. I can't wait to feel good running again and I thank you for helping inspire me! Two of my favourite quotes were: "No matter how slow you are going, you are still lapping everyone sitting on the couch" & "Sweat is fat crying" haha.

Hunter Mum - Great work on the treadmill! TBH, if I had to get up at 5am to do this I probably wouldn't do it either! As for the quotes - they are great! You can be our team motivator

Ok, so I just updated the list above to include our new group members.

Shan - I hope the app works for you! I personally like looking at the timer. For me it works cause I know how long I have left to run, rather than just wondering how much longer there is to go and assuming I wont make it and therefore giving up.

Zap and doubletrouble - Welcome! I hope you enjoy your first sessions

Yay Ausgirl! That's fantastic! It's a great feeling to have completed it hey! I think that once you get going and can stay mentally tough it's not so bad. I'm planning on attempting the second session tomorrow....

Just wanted to add - for someone who thought they couldn't run more than a couple of hundred meters yesterday you should be sooooo proud!!

Hi ladies! I would love to join you too. I completed the program a few years ago but have let myself get SO unfit again - I've got the iPhone app and will do my first run tonight. I have treadmill so I'll use that - it's been begging me for some attention for months now!!

    Yay!! I can't wait!!

Yay ash! Another one on board! I'll add you to the list later.

Good luck for everyone starting today! Let us know how you all go! I plan on doing my second run layer but I have to wait for DH to get home to watch DD. I don't fancy running with a pram lol!

so I wanted I have started these things a few times but never really got very far and wanted to do the first run to make sure I was really committed and guess what???? I survived the first session so count me in girls!!

Well done ausgirl especially with the hill on the way back.

I have downloaded a 5kfree app for my ipod touch (it has the first 4 sessions free and have to pay to upgrade but figured this is a good way to test the waters so to speak) I liked that I could play my music and it interupted the music to tell me to walk/run. I did have a run in with a magpie.... how is everyone else feeling about the maggies? thinking I am going to have to resort to an ice-cream helmet!! legs are a little like jelly but I am actually looking forward to the next session lol

I do have another question... I have just finished AF (which is another good reason to start now) and do worry how I will keep running through AF as it is quite painful... anyone else have any ideas? I really do wonder how people exersice run when she visits? lucky for me the painful part is usually only 4 days or so.... do I just take them off?

    How is everyone else going?
