Sas I started jogging only after I bought my new jogging bra - it's an Enell. It goes on like a vest and the support is excellent. I have DD bbs so I would be lucky to walk fast without embarrassment LOL.
Cherished gardening is great exercise! Sorry about your knee though. I've heard about stevia before. You get it from health food shops don't you?
-
Hi T4M, I have bought stevia from healthfood shops vefore but I have my own plant now :p it's only very small at the moment but it will get bigger and then I can just grind up the leaves and use that :) Good news with my body today... I didn't pull up as sore as I had thought I would but still a bit stiff! will see how I'm feeling later, I might end up walking after all! Your bra sounds great! I love my sports bra, I feel so snug when I'm wearing it ;)
-
My only gripe with losing weight is you have to keep buying new sports bras!!! I am due for the next size down (woo hoo!) but they are so expensive (boo hoo!). I make do with the old ones for every day wear but need a new one for soccer and jogging.
Went for a jog this morning and was pretty happy with it. Looking forward to weigh in this week even if I haven't been 100% as good as I should have been. LOL
-
LOL Jayne, I DO feel a bit self rightious having a low cal iceblock when he is sitting there blocking up his arteries :)
What IS stevia? can you get it at supermarkets? Is it natural? Can you use it in baking?
SPORTS BRAS.... I would love one but cant get one in my size yet here. Must get smaller first. (I'm 18E or 20DD still I reckon) I make do with a regular one for walking and squash but it's not pretty! What is this vest arrangement? I'd love something that cuts the jiggle factor completely!
Jogging? Pffffffttttt! I have tried to do it, tried to like it. I just can't and don't. I never could. Even when I was fit I found running flat out for a minute or two for hockey or squash was great but I just cant do distance.
Went to the Adelaide show yesterday but still came in on points. (Plus earned 3.5points on my pedometer just from walking around!) Ate a packed lunch on the way, took water and bought a baked potato for tea so I was pretty restrained. (did have a bertie beetle choc though.... you have to at the show, it's a rule :) )
Sounds like everyone is going well this week! YAY. and Nai: jump back on girl, better to find out and deal with it right away I reckon.

Sazz, DH gives me PLENTY of opportunities to feel all self-righteous! Yesterday at lunch I had my ali baba grilled chicken wrap (the lamb is much nicer!) and coke zero while he tucked into an enormous pile of wedges with chilli and cheese and all sorts of goo all over them. Right now, we've just finished off a lunch of BBQ steak and salad, and I'm sitting here with 100g of carbs and 15g of fat left to play with for dinner and he's getting into an ENORMOUS chocolate milk shake made with full cream milk! It hasn't taken long, but I find I can happily watch him get into that stuff now and not even want to join him any more. My carb cravings are all but dead... However, I did skip AF this time around (on the pill) as I was supposed to have her visit this week and I don't think the new low-carb thing is enough of a habit to cope with AF just yet!
As for stevia - I doubt you'll find it in supermarkets. Generally a health food store only thing. When it comes to baking, also not sure as sometimes it comes as a liquid rather than a powder. I have seen some that are powders bulked up with other stuff so baking may go ok. I'm now contemplating switching to splenda for some of my muffins to see how I go with them - I do miss my baking!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and getting in lots of exercise and sticking to sensible eating. The weather here today is just glorious - tad warmer than I like, but as it cools off in the evening, would be perfect for a walk...

Hello again :)
Krys you're such a little inspiration chic! You're so good doing your jogging etc
Sas you can bake with stevia but it is really expensive although it is way sweeter than sugar so you don't need to use as much. It is natural and it comes from a plant (hence why I am growing it) but you can buy it in powder or liquid.. . As butterfly said it is in health food stores. Re jogging... a about 5 years ago I made a huge effort to run, I started out with only 2 mins and then it grew into 30 mins and sometimes even 40 in the space of about 2 months. It is the biggest personal achievement of my life! If I can get back to that I will be very happy with myself... I always thought I wouldn't be able to do it but I was on a total high from just being able to do it :D
BW I wish I was the one who got to be self-righteous for once... My dh is awsome, he's like a machine, really fit, eats anything he wants etc but he without a doubt leads by example and wont eat ANYTHING bad just to show me that "you dont' need to eat crap" But sometimes I want to  I realise he is just being supportive and does it all in the most loving way ;) but I then feel bad for even 'wanting' the bad stuff ikywim... I guess it's great when I want to be good... and great when I don't want to be good except he's the one who gets to be self-righteous instead of me!

oooh I'm another Enell sports bra fan - apparently Oprah Winfrey loves them too lol. I actually ordered mine online cos i was so sick of not being able to get something to hold the girls in place. It's like a very solid cropped vest with about 20 hooks up the front, I got it the smallest possible size (for me at the time) and I find it still good even though I've changed size a fair bit. Takes a bit to get into, but once it's on, the girls ain't goin' anywhere!
AFM out & about busy bees today... and still haven't been getting great sleep. Have a nasty feeling I'll have a gain tomorrow - too much naughty foods! And my folks are in town for a few weeks from tomorrow... so I'm gonna be super careful to not eat badly while they're here.

BELFIE _ Weigh in for us tomorrow! I'm at work so I can't post til after work to tell you how I went. I'm so excited to see how I went at my first week. I really hope you get a good loss as well, what are you hoping for?
BW _ My DH is the same as yours darl. Super fit bean pole who eats junk like it's going out of fashion. He doesn't eat one burgers at Maccas, it's usually 2, sometimes 3 that's how pathetic he is! It really bugs me no end. We can whinge about them together!
SAZZ _ I love the clogging up arteries! You can sit there all prim & proper while you are unclogging yours! Love how you're so open about running as well. What about hiring a rower? They are just as good a workout? I bought myself a rower/recumbent for Mothers Day & I LOVE it. Just did 10km on there tonight before I logged on here.
CHERISHED _ That is really, really fantastic that you got up to 40 mins of running. I would LOVE to be able to run & I did the same as you over summer, but I measured mine in metres & I got up to running 1km nonstop at a time which I know is appalling but was brilliant for me. I have NEVER been able to sustain a jog over a distance, but sadly, my rower is most popular, I have to get back onto the treadmill though. When you going to start it up again?? I'll be here cheering you on!
T4M _ How did the jog go chasing the kidlets on their bikes? What a great idea.
Sorry for anybody I have missed, it's not intentional, just have to get things ready for work tomorrow.
Banjo is meant to be coming Tuesday, I'm sooooooo excited! A new puppy, almost as fun as a new baby - minus the breastfeeding. hahahaha
Oh & I had a kebab for lunch today, was dreading putting it into the weight watchers tracker but was so pleasantly surprised cos I didn't have cheese or a creamy dressing in it, I had chicken, lettuce, onion, tomatoe & barbecue sauce, so I was quite happy with myself, but I was so full I didn't eat any dinner. That is bad I know, but I had just gotten used to NOT feeling stuffed all the time & I was sooooo full after the kebab that I didn't want to go back to feeling that overfull sick feeling again. KWIM? I have all my lunch ready for tomorrow at work - a lovely tuna salad with a dash of caesar dressing. YUMMY!
Wish me luck for my date with the scales in the morning.
Good night!
Jayne xx

Good luck Jayne!! WTG on the kebab. I remember hearing on The Biggest Loser that you can still eat a kebab but don't eat all the bread. Bummer, that's my favourite part LOL. You'll have to post some pics of Banjo!
Belfie, fellow Enell follower LOL. Aren't they great! I will never go back to a normal sports bra again. My only beef is they're a bit high in the chest so it's hard to get shirts that cover it all. I have found a crop top that covers it though, so I wear that then a shirt underneath. Have fun with your parents!
Cherished excellent on the jogging for 40 mins! I'd love to get there soon too. Right now I'm jogging half of my street and every time I go further by one drive way (if I can lol). I did notice on the weekend I went for longer, but that was all on the flat whereas my street has a rise. Is that an excuse? LOL
LOL at the talk of partners either helping or hindering our progress. Mine is most definitely a hinderer. We went to McDonalds yesterday and I had a lean beef burger (thanks to the person who suggested that here!). As we were leaving in the car, dh decided to get some desserts. The menu outside didn't have anything written, and I didn't know of any healthy desserts at McD so I said I wouldn't have anything. He got angry at me and kept saying "what about an apple pie? What about an icecream in a cone??" LOL! I guess he was guilty for eating in front of me. Bad luck to him. It actually felt quite empowering!
-
belfie I have full faith that you will make good choices over the next few weeks with your folks visiting ;)
T4M well done at McD  and it's a great idea to go one driveway longer each time :p you will get there!
Jayne I feel great about that 40 min running achievement but then sad that I let that level of fitness slip away KWIM  I think I will start up again this week but I wont be able to tell dh!... I have bad knees (hence it being swollen after gardening) and he would like me to loose weight before I start running... Which is kinda a good idea but surely 1 min will be ok! and then 2, then 5 etc etc until I am running for 30-40 mins again. Thanks for the cheers and I will keep you posted on my progress :D
WEIGHT IN: A gain of 500g  Goodluck everyone else I'm sure there will be some great losses this week
