Yay Belfie!!!
Wow thats great belfie Good on you!!:clap:
OK so im feeling a little disheartened last week i went to the gym every day except tues & sun even had a personal training session, maby havent been the greatest in the food dept but not terrible but some now im back to 70kg..... arghh so not happy
YAY for you Belfie! Something to not celebrate with food or drinking :)
Emmasn - don't be disheartened....my weight fluctuates heaps too....fluid, time of the month, and all that. Just keep doing what you're doing :)
aaww thanks everyone  it's soooo nice to be able to share it with you all.
And I was out at the shops this morning and I wasn't even tempted by the hot chips! (normally my nemesis!).
And I have to say (from where I'm currently floating on cloud 9!!) that to anyone having a bad week or weights gone up, you WILL get there! Stick at it, you can do it - and it feels FAB when you do!
And yeah, weight fluctuations are the pits... mine has varied by 1.1 kg in the last 3 days  so may well be up there tomorrow, but I'm gonna try stay focussed!
 Belflie. You have done so well to get into the healthy range now. Hooray! Are you a little bit proud of yourself? You should be :)
 at the 6 treats of choc a day! Hahahah that's me with almonds. 4almonds = half a point but 2 or three is no points right??? lol
Yay Ammaki on the WW online. What's your username? I'm sazzafrazz (original hey?)
I used to have a couple of full video tapes from whe "Aerobics Oz Style" used to be on tv. Gone now... and no Austar here :( Looking forward to getting my wii fit off layby in 6weeks.
I have to have a sleep study done for suspected sleep apnea and maybe my tonsils out but the waiting list for the public system is 4months just to get the study done. I am planning to lose as much as I can before then so the problem may be minimised. How much should I aim for? Maybe 8kg? That is achievable I think.
Played a killer game of squash last night and won easily. I felt so fit compared to 6weeks ago. Yay. Keep on going Sazz.....
Well said Time4myself. Everyone should be proud that they are putting in the efforts!
i also find TTOTM makes a difference to my weigh. My only week with a gain was TTOTM (300g) and the following week was a 1.1kg loss so it balances out.
Lol saz .. mines Ammaki  bahahaha  I must say the points system may just work for me... dont know how to explain it but i kind of see it as a challenge and im a little competitive hehe oh i have a wii fit! Loves it! I need to get better exercise 'games' tho i think! Good job with the squash! Ive never played!
Hey ladies and gentlement can I join you.
I have just started the Tony Ferguson program and have lost 4kg in the last week and half.
I have also started going to the gym this week and am soo pumped.
I have to loose about 40kg.
I did lose 30kg about two years ago (when we first started TTC) but since then have put back on 20kg. So I have to step up again.
Hey kylie! Welcome aboard hehe, great loss too!!
:welcome: Kylie WOWSERS 20kg that is impressive  So you know you can do it! Was that on Tony Ferguson too?
Belfie I'm so happy for you, congratulations, you deserve it  Yes Ammaki and I are trying hard get a pram out onto the streets
Ammaki good luck with WW
MinMax & Emmasn My weight always is up and down, I posted yesterday that my weight was up again :wall: I think you're right though that we just need to keep going... If there are 2 things I desire more than anything they are to see a 6 in front of my weight next Monday and to see a BFP this Sat! :D
I would like to see a 6 in front of my weight also Cherished. Got a while to go before that however.
I weighted myself Monday and I have gone up. Woops.
kyliekd what a fantastic weight loose in 1.5weeks.
:hello:
Weighted on Monday morning I lost 2.9 kgs.
Weighted on Tuesday morning I gained a 1kg!
Weighed today same weight as yesterday.
I ate really well on Monday and Tuesday! I wanted a snack at night but I fought really hard and didnt have anything. Im proud that I didnt snack like a normally would but Im pretty angry with those damn scales!
Today I ate a 2 little chocolates cos I was upset and felt better for it. I had a fat blaster half an hour before having a optifast bar. Im feeling a little pickish at the moment again.. but Im trying to keep busy..
Does anyone else get like this?
Aaw thanks Mr S!
Eng - I'm with you, I always fluctuate heaps, it's so frustrating isn't it. And I refuse to adjust my weight loss in my sig until it's actually showing up on weigh-in day! Well done for keeping busy, you can do it!
kyliekd - welcome & congrats for starting Tony Ferguson. I reckon you'll do great given you've done it before  this thread is great for helping have some moral support.
sazzafrazz - mmm yeah. I'm mighty proud of myself right now :dance::redface: GL with the sleep study. My DH needs to do that, he snores SO bad! And I must be so thick, but what's TTOTM?
oh and on WW online... my username is Belfie!
For the Wii Fitters, I saw something called Dance Revoluation - looked awesome, you know those little dance mat thingos on which you leap about like a chicken. But I haven't followed up to see if it's any good, or if it's avail in Aus yet. Looked like good cardio tho. I've just bought Wii Sports Resort for DH's birthday, so I'll let you guys know if it's any good.
Cherished1, I'm gonna put an extra lil' special vibe in my sig for you to bring you luck for Sat.
Just very quickly....
Belfie: TTOTM = that time of the month. as in BEFORE and during AF. Sorry any men reading!!!
Awwww Belfie I feel so special! My heart is filled warm fuzzy vibes Thankyou so much... I was having a bit of an emotional downer today until I read your post :D I hope I am posting about a BFP in here on Sat :crossfingers:
I get wiegh in at lunch time today... so nervous this week as I know TTOFM is most likely going to effect. Good to know that it balances out in the end though. Its just disheartening to see a gain instead of a loss. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised though :crossfingers:
Goodluck at your weigh in Alibaby... I loooove your Avi btw :p For me I think the most disheartening things in the world are a gain on the scales and a BFN  It really can depend on the time of the month though so try not to be too let down if there is no change or a gain, you are right it does balance out in the long run ;)
Sazzafrazz - The men can suck it up.
I gained 2 full kilos in 2 days the day I got my last AF - lost it in a week - peed like a horse I reckon - must have been hormones causing massive fluid retention.
Damn, I can't remember now what/who I was going to respond to. (sleep-deprived brain) EVERYONE - You're all doing awesome.
AFM - Well 66.6 this morning - Have fluctuated between 66.6 - 67.2 for the last 3 weeks now  But have been low the last few days so think I have settled and think this means I am about to break through that plateau. 66 is a terrible plateau for me - I've always found it hard to shift from their, and the second I feel pregnant with DD I shot up to 66 (3 kg in 2 weeks) by 5 weeks without doing anything differently. Therefore I HATE that number with a vengance.
Ok so ive figured the gym scales are wrong and i am actually 2kg less than it says so i am actually 68kg so ive got a loss of 500g yay
Eng- Thats amazing hun congragulations your doing a great job!!!
Cherished1- Goodluck hunny wishing you all the best
kyliekd- Thats great hun congrats on the 4kg loss thats great, its amazing how great you feel after starting up at the gym i too have recently joined :) goodluck with your weightloss!! x
sas85- hay ill swap you 66 fo my 68 :D lol
awww thanks Cherished! You are so sweet. I really hope you get a bfp this weekend. Will be thinking of you.
Well I actually lost 600g!! I will take that! Thats now 5.7Kg lost in 4 weeks. Still lots to lose but its nice to have a dent in it esp as I have been bad this week.
I have made the improvement of not eating after dinner though and having tea instead so maybe that has helped.
Emmasn- how annoying your gym scales were wrong! My home ones are wrong as well so I dont use them anymore.
Sas85- You are doing so well. Not much more to go. I find maintaining the hardest but am hoping WW will help with that although I am along way from maintanence!!
So has anyone still got to be weighed in this week?
Woohoo for the loss Ali!! Thats awesome!
emmasn :doh:your gym scales were wrong? Thats so wierd, youd think theyd have good scales! Or are they trying to make everyone think they are heavier then hey really are so they keep working out!!
sas what is your goal weight? Actually what is everyones goal weight? Hehe just curious.
I have a QUESTION  when noting how much rice you eat is the measurement before or after cooking? Thanks in advance hehe
At WW they say after cooking as that is what you are actually eating.
I asked that last meeting about a different food.
Emma - Hey, I'm 4 months ahead of you so you'd think there'd be more than 2 kg separating us, you're doing better than me. ;)
Ali - 600g is a GREAT loss - more than a kg a week on average thus far for you - that's a big achievement!
Ammaki - 63kg is my goal weight :D - it's the lightest I've ever been as an adult and it was my weight when I fell pregnant with DD, it's a size 10 (occasionally 12) for me at that weight. Ideally I would like to be 59kg because it would be amazing to have a 5 in front of my weight, I can't even imagine that - I was always slightly chubby kid but when puberty kicked in I ballooned to 85kg when I was 15 .We're starting TTC #2 from Nov/Dec though so if I fall soonish I'll have to leave that goal for another time, but want to be back to my 'smallest' by TTC time.
Cherished - I'm rootin for you too hun - come on BFP
Oooh - who asked about the rice? It really depends - it's easier to count the calories if you measure it before you cook it as once it's all cooked you know how many calories are in it for sure (everyone puts different amounts of water in their rice for eg which would make a difference to the calories of the cooked versions KWIM) So you can just know the total amount int he portion of rice you put on for cooking - and just divide it by what you eat. So if you cook 500Cal worth of rice grains in water and eat half it's 250Cal.
ooo i was the rice askerer...thanks sas, i never knew which it was, ive been recording one cup as i thought it was cooked i definately wouldnt eat one cup of uncooked (a lot more when cooked) rice! Thanks again
I'm fairly certain my scales are wrong but I always weigh myself in the same spot in the bathroom so my loss is accurate.
My goal weight is the same as sas85 ,63kg- 5 kg too go !!! yay
My goal is to get there hopefully by summer!! fingers crossed!
Ammaki- haha yeh i think that was there trick to get people workin harder, sure worked to lol
sas85- your doing such a great job hun, cant wait to get where you are :)
time4myself- does that make it accurate:redface: lol
AliBaby- good on you!! your doing so well!
Hi everyone. Wow you are all so quick I can't keep up. It is nice to be part of such a motivated bunch.
Well I am not doing too badly this week. I couldn't weigh in on work scales this week (Tuesday) but my home scales were up a little so I put myself up a kg. But I think this week I will be down a bit going by my home scales. On top of my sore ankle though I now have a bit of a tummy bug. Yuk! Oh well I am hopefully getting all of my bad in the one hit and will be healthy for the rest of the year - lol.
Anyway catch you all tomorrow!
Wow lots of chatter. Well I got on the scales again today and I'm still well down - so I'm thinking it's not a fluke. I'm wondering if it's cos I've just dropped an express? (from 3/day to 2/day). Would that cause me to weigh less already? I'm still getting similar volumes, but the timing is very close - the weight going down and dropping the express.
Have got DH's b'day all sorted for tomorrow - making cake I can't eat, FIL is NOT making yorkshire pudding for me (he makes me a gluten-free one normally), so that's one less temptation, bought DH chocolate that i don't like... I'm setting up for success! Plus we went out for dinner tonight, and I didn't have dessert (had the yummiest steak tho!)
My goal weight is 57kg - that's when I last had a waistline that was in the "less risky" diabetic category (i.e. less than 80cm), so that's what i'm aiming for... dunno if I'll get there before TTC again tho. So I've got about 5.2kg to go. Tbh, if I could get below 60 I'd be hugely massively stoked.
Didn't manage any exercise today (mental busy day) but planning a good walk tomorrow. Hope you all have happy healthy Fridays :)
Hi all.
Yay Ali, great work today :)
I was wondering about the rice too. LOL at not being able to eat 1cup of uncooked rice... it would be a bit tough on your teeth I reckon  (yep it had to be Saz to make the weak joke!)
Goal weight: I'm not really sure as i am soooo far away from it. TO make it to the healthy range would be 67kg but I think I would like to have a bit of breathing room within the healthy range. I will set my goal for WW at 67 so I reach it first and get to maintenance quicker (therefore stop paying quicker) but privately set my real goal at 65 or 64kg. I was 62kg at my lightest in adult life but it didnt stick long so I think that may be too light for me.
Happy that I got out for a power walk on my own tonight. I didnt get a walk yesterday or tuesday (but did play squash tues night).
MUST cut out my evening snacks!!!!! DH goes to bed at 8.30pm for an early start and I am prone to snacking after that. Naughty me!
Sorry Ali i didnt see you had responded to my rice question hehe, turns out my apricot chicken didnt work out so i didnt eat rice lol i had a sausage sandwich, which i know isnt great for me but i was still under with my points for the day so i thought it wouldnt be TOO bad
 Yay for it not being a fluke belfie! Lol. I knew it wouldnt! No idea about the BF tho sorry!
LOL at your 'joke' saz...i've found if i dont buy the snacks i cant eat the snacks! Checking the WW points has been a huge eye opener! Im definately eating less now which is great although waiting for my tummy to get used to it, been growling a little
aww sounds like youre not having a good one krys with your ankle AND a tummy bug! I hope you recover quickly!
Seems like we all have similar goal weights! With WW ive set my goals to lose 5% of my weight first up then more and more and more, i think getting little woohoos along the way will keep me motivated
Big hi to everyone hiding!
Belfie, Emmasn, Alibaby & Sas :grouphug: thanks for your support but AF showed up this morning, I really thought I was pregnant this month, what an idiot? I clearly have no idea about my body. To rub salt onto my wounds the EDD of my 1st angel is exactly 30 days from today, seeing I have 30 day cycles I will either get a BFP or a Big Fat AF on October 3rd on my due date, just to remind me of how crap this whole thing is :crying: I can?t believe this is happening to me...
OK so I know this isn't the ttcal thread so I will move onto how this relates to my weight loss! Firstly I think I have my emotional eating under control and if I don't this month will really test me and if I get through it eating well and working out, I will deserve a huge reward or something :D hmmmm I will have to think about what it will be  The other good news is that the increase on the scales was obvioulsly just due to AF so hopefullly if will go back down again after it's gone ;)
Thankfully dh had already told me yesterday that he was going to give me a 2 hour massage tonight so that is awsome because I need to feel the love :inlove:
Cherished -:comfort: It's not fair hun - and it doesn't matter that this is a weight loss support thread - the most important word is support and we're all here for you. I hope you start feeling better and this month isn't too much of a emotional roller coaster for you - here's hoping for a BFP, and maybe you can test the day before AF is due or the day after if you're late. I hope we're both in belly belly groups by next year and even thought I'd love you to be in mine - I have a feeling you'll be ahead of me.
Belfie - Tops idea that with the buying things you can't eat you don't like- I've been doing the same thing - I HATE mint flavoured things (other than mint lollies oddly enough) so if I buy bikkies, mousse etc I've been telling DH to get the mint ones because doesn't matter how craving I am, it still tastes like toothpaste to me and I can't stand them.
Saz - imagine thought if we all started eating rice or pasta raw how little we'd eat - It's only a matter of time before that becomes a fad diet
Some of us have similar goals - wonder if we must be around the same height.
AFM: Didn't excercise yesterday - stupid rain and a lack of motivation in the evening. NAUGHTY. I know I need to step it up to keep moving down - Must . . Be . . Good. .
cherished1- Awww hunny im so sorry, you'll get the beautiful bubba you deserve babe my fingers will be crossed for you and ill be praying:)
Woohoo for the massage sounds like heaven !
belfie- im not sure about that either hun, it might be though as you wont be holding as much milk etc could be.. i wonder how much extra weight im holding cuz im bf.. i recon about 2kg
sazzafrazz- i think it might be time for me to check out WW too
krysalyss- hope your feeling bettersoon hun xx
sas85- thats a good point about heights i wonder if we are similar.
I think im about i 169cm last time i checked
Mind if I join?
I've finally decided that I need to get serious about the state I'm in... Jumped on the scales while visiting my parents over the weekend and found myself to be a whopping 73.3kg, which is the heaviest I've ever been while not pregnant. And scarily enough, there's only about 5-6kg between where I am now and where I was just before Sam was born.
I'd like to get back to 65kg again, but I know that's not a reasonable goal first up. I use calorie king and that has set my intermediate goal at 68kg, but realistically, I'm just aiming to be under the 70kg mark once more. If I get to 72kg I'll officially no longer be "overweight" but I just don't feel good about myself at that weight.
I do have a few problems... Nasty medical conditions which make it hard for me to exercise (arthritis) and hard to lose weight at all (PCOS). Nasty drugs which make me gain weight in the typical PCOS pattern (prednisone) and just make me feel really bad about myself. I have a treatment plan in place with my rheumatologist to get off the prednisone completely - just have to really hope it works and that I don't have my arthritis flare so I can keep my activity levels up.
The plan I use is one my FS used for me while going through IVF to get Sam. I know it works for me, even with minimal exercise, just so long as I can keep my prednisone dose down and control the carb cravings. It seems that most of you go with weight watchers - not the best plan for me as I know I don't lose weight unless I keep the carbs down (and low-GI carbs at that!). I like it as I have my set amount of calories, and how much fat, protein and carbohydrate I'm supposed to eat in one day and I figure out what fits from there (so if I really, really want something "naughty" I can find a way to make it work). My FS gave me limits of 1380 calories per day with 151g of carbohydrate allowed. 37g of fat, but I can be more flexible with that one than I can with the carbs. Aiming for 30 minutes of exercise each day, but looks like I might have to hit the shopping centre to get some rain-free walking in today.
Well, there I am...
BW
Emma - "last time I checked" Do you think you might have grown. I haven't grown since I was 13!! I am 167 so about the same - thought might have been the case.
Hi BW welcome  sounds like youre pretty focused and organised with reaching your goal! Good job! I like WW as it gives me points and its like a 'game' to stick to the points or under it haha whereas with calorie king it gave me 1880 calories a day and i could pretty much eat whatever i wanted within that limit lol so felt i wasnt really getting anywhere
Emma im the same! Im 169cm, well like 168.5cm my doctor got cross at me for saying i was 169cm when really i was .5cm shorter...wtf? Lol
Looks like we've got a nice big group of people with us in this thread now
