Belfie - I'm a shorty too 160cm
I know I weigh in on Mondays but I went to the gym and weighed myself today and I am exactly 10kg down!! New boots here I come!! :leap: Only 6kg to go to a healthy BMI.
Yay Nai!!! new boooooots :)
Hi BW *waving* welcome. You are organised as always!
Cherished: I'm so sorry. The body plays mean tricks with the mind sometimes. Still wishing you luck for next time though. Keep the mind busy meantime with us in here! What treat have you worked out?
I'm 164cm. DH is 164.5cm hahahahah! he's gotta have that .5cm . Must be a man thing. He used to be taller but he has curvature so he is hunching over more. One day I will be taller than him.
Sas lol about the boofier hair :) clever!
Belfie, I'm betting it's the boobies too hun. 2kg sounds about right for BF boobies.
Raining today and C has a cold. I got out for a walk yesterday but only just. Hoping to go today without her again.....
Had lunch out today with DH, just at a deli/cafe and he had fish & chips but I had a steak sandwich. Much healthier with salad in etc and I really enjoyed it. Had a Diet coke instead of iced coffee too. Small changes .
From little things, big things grow... sometimes the small changes make the most difference, especially as they are easiest to maintain.
I'm feeling really down this afternoon. It's the hardest part of the day for me - low energy, bored (because I can't do a lot of the things I want) and it's just so easy to start eating the wrong things. I've just refilled my water bottle and I'm hoping that taking a sip every time I get the urge to go raid the kitchen will get me through the next hour until DH gets home.
Just having a hard day, really - desperately wanted to get out for a walk, but it just hasn't happened. Turns out the pains this morning weren't just early morning stiffness, I am having an arthritis flare with the weather being wet all of a sudden. Another thing to bring me down and make me want to go hit the comfort food...
But I do have some things to feel proud of... I've got dinner bubbling away in the slow cooker and having put all my food into calorie king for the day I'm 200 calories under my daily limit and only 3g over on the fat. 30g under on the carbs, so I'm feeling good about that! I might even be able to manage a hot chocolate before bed if I use low fat milk and just ignore the fat category for the day.
BW
 1.1kg down from my holiday gain! So back on track
Hope your motivation is back up BW
Morning EVERYONE
Yay Ammaki! Well done!
I haven't got my boots yet - i may go shopping this arvo although I had a BAD weekend so I may not be entitled to them after all  I weigh in later this morning....
I am on holidays for the rest of the week so I will try to be good but I will be going to a few wineries so it may be difficult  We will be doing a lot of walking with the kids though.
Motivation still low, but it shouldn't be. Yesterday I got asked if I was pregnant again. :crying:
Doing a bit better at getting the balance right for the day - yesterday I actually even had to have toast to snack on in the afternoon as my carbs were so low (went over on the protein, but that's not a huge problem for me).
It's just that a friend of mine, who is pretty much my height was boasting on facebook this morning about being under 60kg for the first time since she had her children... for a start, I don't think it's a healthy weight for her, and it makes me start to think unrealistically in terms of my own goals.
*sigh*
I'm hoping that when I get around to Friday again and weigh in (if I ever find the scales again after our move in February - I know they are in the garage somewhere!), if there's some loss I'll find a little more motivation. I also haven't yet had the energy kick that I usually get when I start eating better... I feel like I'm really stuck at that hard point where you can't see or feel any results yet and it's so hard to stay motivated (especially when DH sits in front of you and eats a greasy hamburger and chips over the weekend!).
Ammaki, well done for getting back on track!
Nai, I hope the walking manages to balance out any damage from the wineries. Enjoy the holiday!
BW
Hi everyone,
BW - I know exactly what you mean. Especially re: temptation. I was doing so well last thursday and then DH went and got my favourite pizza and corn chips with dip. I just couldn't resist it. But he knows now that I find that situation too hard. But you will get there. The good thing about counting calories is you learn which foods just aren't worth the energy that they contain. A good example is normal mayo which has so much fat in it (a tablespoon has about 20g) compared to low fat mayo which tastes the same (less than 1g fat). I would rather have a piece of cake than full fat mayo. Don't worry you will get there and don't worry about other people's goals. Just think of your next goal or even just next week's goal as the long term goals can be de-motivating if that is all you focus on.
Sending you lots of energy vibes.
Well I weigh in tomorrow and am really not sure what I will be as it has been a few weeks since my last weigh-in on my official scales. My goal is to be 69.something. But not sure if I am there yet.
Anyway wishing everyone a good weigh-in this week. :)
well I'm officially .9kg down from last Monday (even though I knew I was down last week - and was celebrating then ). And yes, still in healthy BMI land.... yaaaaaay.
DH had a blow-out for his birthday - 1.7kg up (which is nearly everything he'd lost so far). So back on the wagon this week.
Good luck for everyone's weigh-ins.
Wow that is awesome Belfie!!!
I weighed in today and guess what! I saw a 6 in front of my weight!! Granted, it was 69.98  but a 6 nonetheless! So I lost .02 since Friday - at least I didn't put on in spite of my bad weekend and it is still .35 down from last Monday. I can go on holiday feeling happier now.
Great work, Nai! I'm hoping I can join you with a 6 in front in a few more weeks! I wouldn't care if it was 69.99, just so long as it starts with a 6!
BW
i lost 1.4kg this week this takes me to 112.7kg i am happy with that considering i have been sick all week
Great work Nai and Mr Squidipa! Woo hoo!
BW - I hear you on the 6's. I want to be there too! It's been soo long!
Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself! After having my 6 y/o I put on 30kgs :( (15 during pg then 15 after). then added another 16kgs when pg with my 4 y/o. Then I lost 16kg and fell pg with my 6month old. I've put on 8kgs this time so I'm still lighter than I was at my heaviest. So here I am and I'd like to loose 34kgs (and thats still not going to make to that skinny ) but one step at a time and I'll get there. So my 1st goal is to loose 5kg. I'm going to use the Calorie King website to count calories and I start boot camp at my local fernwood tomorrow! New fitter healthier bod here I come..... Oh and when I get this weight off I'm going to reward myself with bub's number 4 and a home birth :D
Jules
Have another day where I feel like I've blown it... No exercise, under on calories (I think that's my only positive), slightly over on my carbs... Under on the protein but I feel like if I consume any more in a day I'll puke! Probably over on the fat, too...
All thanks to one regular, skim chai latte at Gloria Jeans while riding out a storm...
But, on the other side of things... I've had trouble all day with my jeans falling down. Surely It's too soon in less than a week to have had any sort of noticeable impact on my waistline?
Welcome, julie_ann_jules. I hope calorie king works for you. I remember the first time I tried to record my meal in it I just sat and cried, but it's easy once you get the hang of it.
BW
welcome and all the for your weight loss journey
Hello Ladies............. I have officially come to join you all. I have joined WW Online today & I'm keeping it secret from all my IRL friends (except a gf who joined with me). I lost 25kg with WW prior to my wedding (7 years ago), & I felt fabulous! 2 children & a husband working overseas later & I have put it ALL back on again. So here I am! Today was my first day & I feel great already (I think today is just in the mind! It's too early to tell).
BW _ Fancy meeting you here darlin'!
I'm fighting that spiral of "why bother" today. It's my own fault - we went to Hogs Breath for Father's Day lunch lol. I was good with my food choice, drank water and shared a dessert but it showed up on the scales. Grrrr! Will I ever be able to enjoy eating ever again?? LOL.
Welcome to our new members!
Welcome Jules & Jayne!
Well done on your loss Mr S!
BW - today is a new day. Don't stress about yesterday - it all evens out over the week. You could have lost weight around your waist. I found it was the first place to go on me - probably because you tend to carry extra there from the pregnancy.
I'm off on holidays today - see you all next week.
Hi everyone. Well I weighed myself last night on my home scales and was pretty hopeful that when I weighed in at work this morning I would see a 6 at the front - only to find I have gone up to 71.1kg. I feel devastated honestly and have had a big cry. Feel like I have been here forever up and down the same kg. Each bit I put on puts me back two weeks (the week I go up and the week to get back to where I was).
But anyway what can you do? I went for a bike ride on Sunday and it seemed to be fine for my ankle and hopefully I will be ok to play soccer this Friday but I know I won't be 100% because my foot still grumbles at certain positions. But DH has decided today that he would like to lose 10kg so hopefully at least he won't ask for junk food and the eating part will be less hard.
Anyway hope everyone is doing better than grumpy ol' me today.
Bye!
Welcome to the new ladies!
Well done on all the losses.
I snuck on the scales again today and im another 600g lighter!! So thats a whopping 1.7kg down from my holiday blowout!!
:welcome: Jane & Jules
I'm at work and didn't get a chance to get in here yesterday and post my weigh in...
Krys I am with you on 71.1kg which is a gain for me too and I also wanted to see a 6 infront... Try not to be too devestated but I know what it's like to have gain wihen you've put so much effort in, you've done such a great job keep going and you will reach your goal xo
Nai WOOOOHOOOOO a "6" so jelouse!
butterfly I have people ask me all the time when I am due and if I am pregnant etc :crying: it is so horrible! But to be h onest I really do look pregnant about 7 months I reckon.... If only I actually 'was' pregnant I wouldn't mind!
Ammaki well done honey, you must be on a high!
timeformyeslf, You will be able to enjoy food again :p enjoy when you go out... It's not every day or even every week (although I would go out every week if my dh let me hehehe)
belfie ahhhhh the birthday blow out ;) hope your dh hasnt' lost motivation? Contrats to you on your loss
mrSquid you are doing great too... Lots of losses this week which is great to see
SnugBug are you still around? Hope you're doing super duper great
OK I've gotta run sorry to everyone I've misses but keep up the good work :cheer::bluecheer:
Oh Oh Oh I have to share my woo hoo as I'm feeling good today . . I have shaken (juuuuust) the 66's for the first time - 65.9kg yesterday and this morning for me :leap: Now if I can just shake that extra 2.5 and if the damn bank will just approve our mortgage already - we will start TTC #2 and I will do something with my hair. I now fit back into ALL my clothes :D Although my smallest work pants I'm not overly keen on sitting down as get a bit of a muffin top goin when I sit but am very excited still.
We went out on a real date on Sunday to a fancy seafood restaurant here and I was worried about it - but I had fancy oysters as entree and my main was mainly just a large beautiful piece of salmon with a green curry sauce and zuccinni gratin with only a teeny bit of potato - which all suited my low carb requirement (though not so low cal but one's better than the other) so all ended up being fine and was soooo nice to put on a little black dress and have a nice quiet dinner with DH was great for the soul.
Krys - I'll bet it's just fluid retention hun - don't let it get you down too much we all have ups and downs - my last few posts were pretty down about not moving off my plateau for 3 weeks but it will happen for you, if you've been emotional on top of it it sounds even MORE like hormones causing fluid retention.
Welcome Newbies!
Overall sounds like congrats are due for Mr squid, Nai, Belfie, Amaki
I am avoiding doing an assignment I need to submit to OTEN so had better stop wasting time and make use of bub's nap time. BBL.
Well today is my "official" weigh in day and I'm down 1.6kg YAY I know that its porbbably all fluid as my wedding ring is no longer cutting the circulation in my finger  but it's still a start!
I also know how frustrating it can be too get below that magic figure only to wake up and be above it the next day :wall: Thats how I am with the 100kg mark :(
A few weeks ago I was 100.1 for 3 weeks then gave up totally.... Just need to keep reminding yourself that about 1kg can be differences in fluid soooooo big breath and weigh again the next day :D
 to everyone getting to the 60's oh to be there!
I just got back from my walk - I actually jogged half of each lap! I used to love running long distance in primary school (haha! Very distant memory). I'd like to work back to being able to jog for longer.
time4myself - well done! That's great.
julie_ann_jules -:clap: that's fabulous, congrats! And yes, I agree, the fluid thing can be a shocker... sounds like you're well prepared for the ups & downs that happen!
sas85 - oooh oooh congrats to you too :hooray: I'm so pleased for you! You can do it on the extra 2.5 and I'll see you in the TTC threads! Oh and I'm so with you on the muffin top... only I called a cake-top... cos it seemed to be a bit bigger than a muffin
Krys & Cherished - good on you guys for staying focussed and posting in here. You'll get there... and you'll be laughing away thinking I shouldn't have let that gain get to me so much. (easy with 20:20: hindsight huh!). I actually reckon I'm more likely to go down the week after an up. But I know how frustrating it is to be see-sawing around the same weight for weeks on end (I did that the last month).
Ammaki - congrats to you too, that's fab.
~Jayne~ - welcome and GL with WW online, i reckon it's great.
g'day to all the others I've missed... we've got a good active bunch here today.
I've got my sis staying atm (just till tomorrow lunch) so I'm finding it harder than usual to stay focussed. Did my walk and pilates yseterday. Tossing up between cycle & Wii Fit today - can't really go walking cos I've got tradies here. And visitors this arvo... washing... kitchen... hmm maybe i"ll just boogie as I do it all and get my exercise that way?
Thanks guys - I feel a lot better now. Your support has really helped. I feel ready to take on this week again.
Congrats to all of the losses! Woo hoo!
SAS & KRYSALYSS _ WOOOT WOOO on your weight losses! That is just briliant!!!
BELFIE _ Loving your cake top, I affectionately refer to mine as the 'verandah' as it seems to shade my nether regions! TTC'ing sounds exciting!! YAY!
TIME4MYSELF _ Fantastic effort on the jogging! That is something I am soooooo looking forward to doing. I have a treadmill that I jog on when everybody is asleep, but can't wait to be able to feel confident enough to jog outdoors!
JULIE _ They say each 1kg is a tub of butter! So just keep picturing that my friend! Good job! Now you just need to crack the triple digits & you're cruising!!!
CHERISHED _ I can't wait to be in the 6's!!! Feels like a lifetime away though!
AMMAKI _ You suck losing weight after a holiday blowout! But fantastic work all the same! hehehe
NAI _ Have a great time on holidays!
Ok, I am going to be walking down to school to get Jess today, usually we ride but I had an Ortho appointment today so I didn't have time, but my youngest Claudia is needing a sleep, so I'll put her in the pram & walk to school & back. Jess will probably rant the whole way home about walking but I'll tell her Mummy needs to get skinny! hahah
I am going to be the proud owner of a Chocolate & White Border Collie baby next week, we have been waiting for this pup for over 6 months now, after being on the breeders list, waiting for the ***** to come into season, etc... but anyway, Banjo is going to be 8 weeks on Friday & therefore joining us next week. He is my ticket to being skinny as BC's needs tonnes of exercise (so every tom, **** & harry keeps telling me while rolling eyes). So that is going to be extra incentive for me to get out & about, to exercise a growing pup.
Also, on the puppy front, I am planning on putting Banjo into agility training & time trial thingy's, but more for me, rather than him as I will have to fly around the course with him, what do you think??
I'm having a super eating day today, but of course it's still a novelty for me right now. But I am going out to a friends for dinner & I don't know what she is making so I have just had a yoghurt & apple for lunch so I can save my points. Nobody else knows I'm doing this, & she is skinny & gorgeous so I don't want to tell her! LOL.
Ok, enough for me!
Love Jayne xx
I restarted my weightloss from when i returned from holidays as i had gained a few  and i joined WW online when i got back so im starting fresh hehe!
Cute puppy!! I love puppies! We have big dogs too and people always state how they would never have big dogs..ppfftt then dont! hehe we love them! We have a Rotty & an American Staffy!! Koda & Dozer hehe we will be walking them tonight before hitting the gym! Oh yeah, double whammy tonight!
Tomato Soup for dinner too which isnt too bad...right? Im still well and truely under my points for the day  (loving the points system!)
Ammaki - I would be sooooooooooooo scared of your dogs.
DH has the good walking pram with him Darnit - When Miss E wakes up I might have to wrap her up and go for a walk with her strapped on me . . that can really only help at this point extra weight and balance required - it will be like being pregnant with one of those world-record breaking babies +! (Did you guys HEAR about that woman with the 15lb baby!!)
Having a much better day today. With my special K breakfast and my ali baba lamb loin wrap for lunch the day is looking really good. Add three hours of walking around a shopping centre and it looks even better. Just hoping I don't completely blow it with dinner - but I'm planning lamb chops (got some very lean lamb leg chops today) with ratatouille so there'll be lots of vegies... it's one of the recipes from the CSIRO book.
Sorry, brain is fried - my three hours of walking around a shopping centre involved Sam and I both being covered in poo and the purchase of new, clean clothing for us both... it's been exhausting and I've still got to tackle the washing, but I really just want to ignore it for a bit and enjoy the brief period of time while Sam's happily playing by himself to be resting free of puke, poo, dribble, wee and all the other revolting stuff Sam seems to take great joy in spreading all over me!
BW
Hello girls :)
Sas I got really excited for you reading your post :happyforyou: and your date sounds perfect :inlove: I heard about the gigantic baby OMG!!!!
belfie  I can just see you boogie'n around your house kicking up a storm while mopping the floor, maybe you can use the mop as a microphone and sing along to the music too hehehhe
time4myself You've inspired me to start jogging too, even if it's only for 5 mins after my 30min walk
Jules that's a great loss honey!! fluid really is a trap but at least you have a good judge with your wedding ring... When I am retaining fluid I cut back on salt and I soak a teaspoon of fennel seeds in warm water than strain it into my Sigg Water bottle, if I drink that every day my fluid is right down by my next weigh in.
Jayne enjoy your puppy, I would love a kitten but will be waitng untill we have kids and they are a couple of years old, so I'll be waiting at least 5 years I think!
Ammaki I'm glad the point system is working for you ;)
BW sounds like you've had a big day! enjoy your dinner :p
Krys "go get'm honey" If anyone can do it you can!! :cheer:
AFM I have been naughty, naughty, naughty!!! eating cho bullets today  no excuses but that I am NAUGHTY!
nooo they are harmless hehe, just confronting seeing a huge dog come running towards you, but once they get there theyll lick you to death hehe. And the staffy just has 'happy snorts' its so cute haha he just grunts and snorts around when he's happy, although i had to chuckle at DSD on the weekend, when she woke up she told me she "had to close the window coz the puppies were snoring" haha
ooo Cherished!! :whip: NAUGHTY!!
Sounds fun BW, poo filled day hehe! atleast you got some new clothes out of it? How did DS manage to get you and himself covered haha? Food sounds great too!! I have Special K for brekky...couldnt get over how small the actual serves are supposed to be tho!
Ive gone mental on weighing everything to make sure i record the correct amount of food lol
He filled his nappy while I was in woolworths, and the wiggling while I headed for the checkouts smooshed it out one side... I couldn't keep hands or feet out of the nappy while I was changing him, but the problem was I hadn't noticed the feet, and he was happily kicking me in the stomach! I ended up with a $15 mens hoodie - nothing exciting, but it was the first thing I could tolerate wearing with my red jeans.
Re: special K - the serving sizes are utterly ridiculous! I have found, though, that it's the best protein source in breakfast cereals, which is the main thing I have to do - cut the carbs and increase the protein without getting too overboard on the fats. If anyone's got a better suggestion for breakfast, I'd love to hear it. Last time I did eggs (poached or scrambled), but I find I just don't have time for it in the mornings with Sam around now.
BW
aaww you poor thing! haha bet Sam had a ball!
When i first measured the 30g my jaw DROPPED lol. BUT! im obiding...sometimes i cut up a banana to beef it up a bit hehe
