Mr Squid, jump back on, it's never too late and you've done so well! something my dh tells me is that food will always be there and I'm not really missing out on anything, I find it helpful to know that one day I will be able to eat whatever I want (in moderation) but right now I am choosing not to, I am choosing to think of my body 1st and loose the weight. It is helpful to say "I choose not to eat that" rather than the negative phrasing of "I can't eat that"... He even said that christmas is just another day and I can join the small group of people who don't over indulge and get to feel great about themselves the next day. I think if you spend some time having similar conversations with yourself you might be able to jump on the wagon again.

AFM.... OK so today is my weigh day and I ended up on 67.3kg which is still a loss of 300grams so I can't complain especially as I'm expecting my period... But still disappointing seeing I saw 67kg's earlier in my week. I do feel great though and like I've lost weight especially around my stomach.

Well done on your loss Cherished - 300 grams is better than gaining anyday Should we be expecting a BA from you soon?

Mr S - jump back on matey, don't lose motivation. The benefits of healthy weightloss far out weigh the brief delight of foods that are high in calories.

Georgi - muscle weighs more than fat, so I bet its either that or water weight re - your 1kg gain. But either way it sure can be a bit of a kick in the teeth, can't it?

time4myself - well done with your loss, 500 grams all adds up in the end, doesn't it!

AFM - my scales tell me I'm down to 73.8 kgs. And I'm fitting back into my 'skinny jeans', albeit just, but I can do them up and wear them out in public with a flowy top to cover my spare tyre . I'd really been doing my head in as I've been hanging around the 75kg mark - but I measured my waist and seem to have lost 7cm's - so I can't complain about that!

LEESA Wow, 7cm is huge! Measurements are definately the way to go. I've been slack & haven't taken mine at all. I wish I did.

CHERISHED 300g is still a great loss. A loss is a loss I say. At least you will get there

MR SQUIDIPA I can really be difficult to remain motivated can't it. I fell off the wagon for around 6 weeks. It was so hard to get back on. I hope things improve for you real soon. Just don't be hard on yourself, that's what will really kill you. Allow yourself time & tell yourself you WILL get that motivation back. Keep telling yourself that.

AFM - Well Thursday's are my weigh in day....... And woohoo I lost 1.6kg. So that's the weight I put on last week & more! Now i'm under my original goal weight. Only 1.8kgs to go now till my next goal. I guess I won't be getting another loss like that for a while.

    WTG Georgi!

My weigh in day is today and I am the same. GRRRR. Totally my own fault though because, while I've been exercising every day, I haven't really been eating well.

Hi everyone, can I join in this thread too?

I have mucked around with trying (not very seriously) to lose weight for a few months now and I need to get serious. So, I'm telling everyone in here (see my new ticker!) and IRL!! I know Christmas is coming so it's not an ideal time to start but a few years ago I was losing weight and managed to lose about 3kg over 3-4 weeks at Christmas. I didn't live on salad but I was restrained around the chocolate and pudding! I'm thinking that by starting now, I'll be quite motivated over the next few weeks!

Nai - you look hot mate and seeing you on fb earlier has helped inspire me! Congratulations on your loss, you must feel amazing!! I remember that I had just started ww not long before you did but I gave up after only losing 5-6kg. If I'd kept going I could be 15kg down now too. I am not wasting any more time.

    Hi Ali! Hi everyone else!

    Welcome Kaz!

I've been told to get off the exercise wagon by my physio. For about 2 months I've had a niggling issue with my left thigh which I decided needed to be looked at, as it wasn't getting any better. Turns out it could be a little more serious than just a sore muscle lol. Oops! So no high impact exercise or weight bearing exercise as the muscles all around my thigh, butt and lower back are as tight as anything.

Not good coming up to Christmas! I know it's all about what I'm putting in my mouth for the time being... but I don't have a lot of will power at this time of year lol.

kaz Well done on that weight loss at christmas time You sure are an inspiration for this year!

Alibaby I'm not as close to my goal now I did get down to 66.6kg but after a blow out over the weekend I went back up to 67.4kg Was so annoyed because I really thought I would reach my goal of loosing 7kg by christams.... Not so sure now

T4M that is such a buggar what exercise did they say you could do?

Hope everyone else is doing ok and mentally perparing themselves for christmas.... and i than the next big hurdle of Easter only 14 weeks after that Lordy Lord Lord, it never ends!

T4M - Can you swim at all? That really sucks you have an injury. I hope it won't take long to heal.

Cherished - you've done really well - wait until Christmas to weigh yourself again. I bet you'll get there!!

Well I'm off to a rough start lol!! AF arrived so the scales tell me I've put on over a kilo but hoping that goes away again in a few days.

YAY Kaz Lots of support in here. I always seem to go up a bit when AF arrives but then have a good weight loss the next week so it kind of evens itself out. I love the ticker!

T4M- injuries so suck! I agree withkaz, swim if you can. Would be nice on a hot day as well.

Cherished- I reckon you will get there. Cant believe Easter is close!!!!!

I am really loving the pink jewell sparkling wine. Its only 1 point per glass which is great. I dont have a WW meeting for 2 weeks as we are away but am going to try and weigh myself on mums scales even though they probably wont be the same and as accurate just so I can keep an eye on my weight over that time.

Kaz yes that is me on the floor laughing at the idea of waiting till christmas day to weigh myself hehehhe... No seriously my official weigh day is on Mondays so that is what I record my weekly weight loss by but I still jump on every morning! I can't help myself... I just find it motivating to see it go down (most days) and if it goes up I know it's around af time so it doesn't bother me so much, I'd say you have nothing to worry about wither with the scales reading higher due to af

Alibaby glad you have found a wine you like, after putting on a kg last weekend due to drinking too much I have decided that I'm not drinking anymore until I reach my goal, if I could just stop at one than I guess it would be ok, but when I drink over dinner with friends I always have more than one... Yep Easter is not far away! I hope to be well down on the scales so that I can enjoy a few choccy treats guilt free

AFM I'm heading into my gym to do a workout

Ali - I think you made my day - Pink jewel sparkling wine is only one pt per glass?? That is the BEST news I have had all day lol!! Woohoo. Off to the bottle-o we go.....

Kaz - Grr Af putting on water weight....I went up about 2kgs last cycle, hopefully it won't go up like that again. It is disheartening - one step forward, then thanks to AF two steps back!

Hi Cherished, Mr S, Nai and T4M! How are you all??

AFM - I am down to my lowest weight since Jan 09 (when I was 12 wks pg with DS) - so I'm now at 71.1kg. Training each and everyday, usually RPM, Attack or Pump. Once again, the weight loss is everywhere except the mummy tummy! Grrr.

So, what is everyones tactic for Xmas? Eat in moderation / blow it coz its the festive season / or eat whatever I want and work it off in the new year .

    Hey guys...

I've been a bit slack with posting on BB lately. I've also been very slack with my diet! With all these christmas parties & having my in laws here for 6 days. I weighed in last Thursday at 64.7kg so 0.7kg above my goal weight. I'm not too concerned, as long as I stay under 65kg. I've given up on the idea of getting to 62kg this year. So i'm really just trying to maintain, which is proving harder than I thought. I'm still exercising 6 days a week so that hopefully will conteract my indulging. No weight watchers this week it will be christmas eve so I am going to relax a little & try not to worry. I will weigh myself at the gym on Thursday morning to keep check.

KAZ - Welcome! Good on you for making the move to lose weight at this time of year. I hope this year is as successful as last. I tend to move the scales a bit at that time of month too, though it does balance out the following week

T4M - I give you credit, I could NOT do it without my exercise. I simply just eat too much. Gosh, I'd get so depressed if I couldn't exercise.

Cherished - Bummer about the gain. Though I find if it's come on quickly, it'll go off quickly. Do you find this?

ALI - My WW is closed for 2 weeks but as I'm on my 5th week of maintenance I don't wanna wait so i'm gonna skip this week then find another meeting to go to for my 6th weigh in then back to my local meeting to get my life time membership! I just hope I can be back to my goal weight on that day

LEESA - I'm planning to eat in moderation over this festive season. I am still going to exercise my heart out to make up for it. Good on you for being at your lowest weight this year. Yay, that must feel really good

Leesa You must be feeling so proud of yourself getting back to that weight for christams day I am going to eat well, I plan to have loads of leafy green salad and couscous for lunch and allow myself a 'little' bit of chocolate and 2 hand fulls of chips, other than that I will fill up on scrambled eggs for breakfast of my home made spelt toast and fruit such as water melon and rock melon, not sure about dinner yet but it will be something light like maybe a bit of tofu and salad. I will also be doing a workout in the morning

Georgi 64.7kg is still fantastic be proud of yourself hon

Hi everyone! Hope xmas has been good to you. I have been considering for a while I might post a before and after pic of me. One from last year and one from this year. Not sure of the best way to do it though. I don't want the whole world to see, just people who are genuinely trying to lose or maintain their weight here on BB. Does photobucket do passwords? I will try and figure it out. Anyone keen/brave/silly enough to post as well
