I have an iphone too Ngala, going to check out the dailyburn app today sometime :) Thanks for the tip
Haha, I wish that I wasn't losing weight because I'm not eating enough food! I think that as long as you eat healthy food and don't waste all your calories on junk food there shouldn't be a problem with TTC. I really do need to eat more fresh foods myself.
How did your BBQ go yesterday Telly? I had a shocker of a day yesterday - went to a kids b'day party that had a candy shop theme and I just couldn't help myself! I think I may have salvaged a little bit by only having a smaller lunch and dinner but I'll be taking some healthy snacks with me to the next party I think. At least I chose the water option instead of softdrink
-
No probs Fuzzy. On the website you can record your measurements too. So I am wondering if this will come up on the iphone too? We'll see tomorrow!
I didn't have a good evening last night :( Had my nephew for the night so took them to Maccas for dinner, which I KNEW would put my calories over, but not by too much. BUT then I gave in to my sugar craving and had some biscuits with my coffee  The DailyBurn website told me that if I get going at this rate I will be putting on 100g a week!! :o
-
Morning ladies,
Here we are... Monday! Right, have weighed myself - after a wee and before coffee.... 79.4kg. Slightly more than expected, but only by a kilo or so! 21kgs to lose. I can do this!
DH is back at work today and I was hoping to go for a walk with the pram and the big kids on scooters but rain is predicted for the next few days. I hereby pledge that if I can't get out for a decent walk today I will be ready to head to the gym when DH gets home. I WILL do some exercise today! Bought some new runners yesterday as my old ones were pretty worn out, I'm looking forward to putting them on and hitting the pavement!
Woohoo!! Here we go, ladies... hot, healthy bodies - here we come!!
-
Well done nickle for being the doing the first weigh in!! Dont you hate how the rain holds you back. THere is heaps that you can do while indoors - squats, lunges, dips , sit ups etc - just got to use your imagination and use bags of sugar/rice as weights!!
Alright.. this is me on the first weigh in. I have recorded measurements too cause its best way (I hope) to keep me on track.
Goal: 68kg & reduce body fat by 5%
Date: 10 Jan 2011
Starting weight: 73.5kg
Body fat: 24%
Chest: 93cm
Waist: 87cm
Hips: 102cm
Thigh: 59cm
Upper Arm: 30cm
Ekkk! I weigh more than I thought I would today> I HAVE been good but went to mum's for dinner last night and I always big out! Today I got up at 5am and have done a 10min walk & 10min jog and in half an hour I will be going to the gym to do a PT session.
So thats my start, lets hope that it can improve over the next few months!
-
Hi Girls,
Weighed in at 77.7kg this morning which is pretty much what I expected to be at.
I signed up for dailyburn and am going to give it a go recording my weight, exercise and food. I'm not used to working in calories though, normally I go by kilojoules! I think I'm going to be too lazy to record my measurements and will just go by my clothes. Already went for a 40min walked to the shops this morning and had to carry 4 parcels home so that gave me an extra workout :)
I need to keep my exercise up because that is what will lose the weight for me, my food intake has been pretty good and I think I've found that happy medium where you don't put on weight although I'll gradually need to decrease it to maintain my lower weight.
-
really quick, 86.4 :) Down 1.2kg!
1kg down, many more to go! lol!
xxoo
-
Far out! I didn't realise how much cordial I was drinking and how many calories it was, only water from now on! Maybe I'll give myself one glass a day as a treat
-
Well weighed tonight was running late today..... Mondayitis...
Am down to 87.3k not too bad considering it was after dinner lol
Rode about 7km today & walked around work at lunch which is about 2.5k... yet to be measured
& I didnt even snack my wee head off ... love my snacks!!!
Proper catch up later... gotta get monster to bed..
-
Hmmm... 7 beers later on day one. Must not socialise...
-
LOL Nickle!!
Not a good start for me either - chicken & chips for dinner BUT I did make a side of salad!!
Got knocked down with a headache this arvo so got DH to sort of dinner and thats what he got; Argh, must not let DH do dinner cause he will make it harder for me!!
Mitch - good work on the exercise!
Fuzzy - its an eye opener hey when you see how many calories are in some of the stuff we regularly eat/drink! I told my trainer about this dailyburn site and will show him the reports that I can get for it (I upgraded to the first pro level to have a few of the extra features)
TT - 1.2kg that is awesome!! Well done.
Had a work out with my trainer today, it was good! He is going to start me on a new program so I hope that I can tone up and lose some body fat (main goal is to lose body fat not actually weight) He keeps talking about me entering some women fitness/physique shows and that I have real good potential but need at least 6 months of solid training to get ready for it. Would Love to do it but going to have my bub first and then do that afterwards :)
-
Got my ticker on :) I lost the majority of my weight at the beginning of last year and have maintained it for the last 6 months, now to finally shift these last kilo's. I am aiming for 72kg first and then 70 is the ultimate goal.
Ngala - Frozen vegies are a good quick option and way easier to prepare than salad, probably a bit more filling too. We have been eating heaps of frozen vegies as we haven't been able to buy fresh stuff.
I have been cooking out of the Symply to good to be true books the last few nights, it's great because it gives the nutritional content for the food and is generally low gi so keeps me full. I was within the range of calories for the dailyburn yesterday with a few treats so it seems to be maintainable, will have to wait and see how much weight comes off.
Nickle - Alcohol is evil! and peer pressure doesn't help much either  Hope you didn't wake up with a headache today
Mitch - Awesome work on the exercise! How long does it take to ride 7km?
TT - Yay on the 1.2kg loss!
-
Hi ladies...
Exercise is going good, have managed to get in either a walk, bike or both so far this week lol... mind you its only Tuesday...
Food better, have been good at not snacking at work.... & DH is on hols at the moment so not nibbling while I decide what to cook & then cooking it...
Writing in my diary each day.. hmm never really took notice of how MUCH i actually can eat in a day :( Have stopped taking snacks to work & have no shops close enough to pop out for a quick bite... thank goodness!!! Trying to plan a few days ahead for lunches & making a proper lunch for myself when I make DDs lunch for centre at night, instead of firing anything from the cupboard into my handbag on the way out the door!!!
Anyway.... enough about me ....
Fuzzy... 7km was dont in 2 goes, 2.5km to work took about 15 mins (havent timed exactly but I havent been late yet LOL)... WTG at maintaining the loss from last year :)
Telly ... 1.2k loss is awesome way to go :)
Ngala... entering in a comp sure would be motivation.... maybe in the future aye, something to tuck away for a later stage...
Nickle... Alcohol is my evil friend too,... try & avoid it cause the first couple normally taste too good & I need to have a few more LOL ;)
-
Mitch - it's an eye opener when you start writing a food diary! You can really see how much food you are putting in to yourself. Keep up the good work with your exercising!
I'm at the gym now peddling away on a bike. My gosh there's a lot a stinky people in here!!! Guess that's what you get when in 35+ outside..

Hey girls I am joining here too if that's ok! God the first week of WW is hard. :( Forgot how hard it is going from eating whatever you want whenever you want, to watching everything.
I am starving all the time, and today I have a crappy day with the kids and just ate chocolate. Arrgghhh. I also have forgotten what are good choices to make and have made some shockers thinking I was doing the right thing.
Exercise is my trouble spot too - I find it so hard to get in, have done one day of the C25K and that's it although I did download the Jillian Michaels dvd yesterday and did 20 mins of it (that's all I could do and SO sore today) and then did yoga last night and 25 mins today.
I really need to stock up on some good snack stuff and things like Jarrah chocolattes and diet mousse so I don't break out the Cadbury when I need my kids in bed sweet fix.
-
oooh I'm going to join in here too if that's cool. I was in here a while ago  and still need to lose the same 15kg :(
I've decided to re-join WW but this time I'm only going to the meetings. Last time I signed up for both meetings and online and when life got a little busy I just went on-line and then I started cheating. If I have to turn up to a meeting and get on the scales then I will follow the points. My only dilemma is whether to join tomorrow night or next week. I'm ambivalent about going tomorrow only because the MiL is staying atm to mind DS while CC is closed and I think I could do without the discussion that will ensue (she is a bit obsessed with her own weight and always brings it up with me - whether's she's lost or gained or is happy etc). Not long after I had DS she gave me an article about the Pram Diet. Maybe I was hormonal but it was hard not to be offended and defensive so I'm not sure I want to 'include' her by starting while she is here. It is all she will ask me about for the next 6 months and she will want all the details and to look at the booklets etc  ........maybe I will just use this next week to be as disciplined as possible so next week is not so bad?
-
New faces! Welcome girls! Nice to see some more weight loss tickers around
-
Welcome Tan & Kaz!!! So nice of you to join us :) Looks like we have a nice group starting up here. I hope that we can keep this thread alive and motivate each other to reach those goals that we want!!
Tan - The first week or so is real hard when you cut back on your eating but your body will get used to it fairly quickly. I not sure of any of the WW food but is there anything that you can munch on that is relatively low in points to help you get through the hungry stages?? I'll have a tin of tuna or a couple of rice cakes, vita-weat etc if I get a bit peckish. Exercise is sometimes hard, but start off easy and you will start to enjoy it and it will get easier and more fun!
Kaz - If you think the MIL is not going to help with your weight loss journey then wait until she is gone!! The last thing that you need is someone to be bringing you down and getting you off trach (I'm an emotional eater so I know how much it can effect you). You want to be 100% focused on your goal, especially when you start the diet. The first few weeks are the most important!! So use the next week to slowly cut down all the bad things out of your diet :) BUT you have to make sure that you do join and not keep just putting it off!!
-
Welcome Tan and Kaz :)
Tan - I have found that having some snacks pre-prepared and easy stuff on hand is key as well as not having 'bad' stuff in the house. Also things like nuts and dried fruit which are healthy really need to be measured out so that you don't overeat. I am finding that I am stressed by the flood situation and have eaten a bit too much chocolate today!
Kaz - Def wait til MIL is gone, you don't need that extra pressure on yourself. If she isn't going to be 100% positive and supportive she doesn't need to know. If you've already done weight watchers before you probably already know what to/not to eat and the right portion sizes.
-
Hi Tan and Kaz! Kaz, I would definitely not mention WW to the MIL! Sounds like you would just be giving her an excuse to hassle you about your weight. As much as I want to lose weight, I want to do it for ME and if someone else started weighing in (haha...) with their own opinion about my body... well, I would be very unhappy!
Fuzzy, you have every right to consume chocolate in a crisis situation! How close to the floods are you?
I am failing miserably on the exercise front this week. The weather here has made it really difficult to get out and about and I can't get to the gym because the creche doesn't take school aged kids. By the time DH gets home I am over it and find a reason not to go (I'm much more motivated in the morning!). It has been a pretty hard week with DD who is only 7 weeks. Anyway, so far not so great!
Diet wise, I have not been too bad... sort of! Apart from the beer a couple of days ago... I did make homemade sausage rolls with the kids today and I ate three of those (party sized) but they are chockers with veggies. And fatty sausage mince and pastry!! Apart from that, all pretty good. One of the big things I have chnged in my diet is to replace Coke Zero with water. I usually drink maybe three or four cans a day, but now just iced water. Apparently diet soft drinks are one of those 'hidden' naughty things and cause weight gain.
I hope you ladies are all faring better than I am on the exercise front!!
-
Thanks ladies! I went and stocked up on a few things, mainly for my evening chocolate cravings so things like Bulla light choc icecreams, and jarrah chocolattes. I am kidding myself if I think I can cut it out altogether but this was I can still have things that relieve my need for chocolate stress relief. I know I shouldn't weigh in between weeks BUT I just jumped on my Wii and I have lost 1.2 kgs! I am rapt!!! I think what is helping more this time is that i am doing some sort of exercise every day, even if it is just my 20 mins of Yoga on my iphone at night. I did that Jillian DVD again yesterday and it's really great. It's called the 30 day shred, and has 3 levels of 20 mins workouts and man she doesn't let up. It's like being on Biggest loser with her saying, If you feel like stopping for a rest now.... TOO BAD keep going  Classic I love it! Anyway knowing I have lost is increasing my motivation so I am off to go shopping with no kids now (braving the wet in Melbourne) then Jillian when I get home again!
Kaz - I agree with the other girls, don't mention it if you aren't going to get support. I find it hard too because DH is doing a NO carbs diet at the same time and if I crack out some food I feel like I have to justify it to him, and he is like, Tan - I don't CARE what you eat - you know what you have to do and if you are hungry eat, and that just makes it worse. Maybe you could secretly track yourself hun while she is there and see how you are going without getting all your stuff out? I did that for the first 3-4 days this time around, I still had my OS visitors here, and so I tracked everything I ate from chocolate to bbq shapes, coptious amounts of tequila you name it, just so I would firstly get in the habit of tracking and also to see what i was putting in my mouth! Maybe while MIL is there you could just track quietly and get yourself in that frame of mind and then jump in fully once she has left. xoxo
Nickle - I didn't know that about Coke- I love my Diet Coke, and with Xmas etc around here our house has been full of it and Sprite Zero. It's all gone now, I finished off the last of it yesterday and I definitely need to up my water consumption. I LOVE fizzy drinks though so for dinner I buy soda water and a diet cordial or a dash of juice in with it and feel like I am having something spesh!
Off to update my ticker I am so pleased! (Although I will probably only show a 100g loss at my Sunday weigh in now - oops!)
-
Hello ladies! :hello:
I hope you are all travelling well :)
Just a quick one from me cause should be getting to work... I am doing good this week, back at the gym to usual workouts and got up 5 times for a jog in the morning so YAY! Muscles are a bit sore... Been weighing myself daily to see progress and its a bit up and down at the moment and hovering between 73-73.5kg. This mornings was 73kg so thats about 500g loss since Monday. Will measure again on Monday and see if any centimetres lost, I hope so! Doesn't feel like it tho.
I'm coming up to my hardest two weeks diet & exercise wise so I hope that the support of this thread will get me through it!! The next two weeks will be hard for me because Im heading in to my TWW and I tend to get really slack with exercise and eat a lot of crap because there is something that switches on in me and says to forget about the healthy lifestyle cause you could be pregnant and will get fat any way!! So I need to work on not letting myself slip. So please help me girls!!!
-
hi guys, hoping everyone doing well in their plan for healthy bodies. i am going to get serious now. o.k
need to get back into exercise now nast AF has gone. starting today.
good luck to all

ok here goes....
Hi Ladies - Thought i may join you if thats ok! My story is this:
I'm 30 years old and have just been diagnosed with 'assumed PCOS' my tests all came back fine (blood tests and ultrasound). The only 2 symptoms i have are annovulation (period maybe once every 6 months) thus no ovulation. I am also obese at 134kg. Wow - how shamefull and embarrassing! I know i certainly dont look anywhere near that but these are the figures the man inside the scales is telling me! So, i trundled off to the dietician, took her advise and have 5 kg to lose before 10 March 2011. Mini Goal #1!! I hope to find support - and give support - here if welcome!! I have a tough road ahead of me but am determind to have a 'mini us' brewing in 2011!! Wishing you much love and luck!
K

Hi guys,
Just quickly popping in to update on my weigh in. 77.9kg which is a 200g gain. I'm not too worried because I've just gotten over being sick and now everything is back to normal I am ramping up the exercise starting today, an extra 40mins of cardio on top of my daily walk. Hope everyone else is travelling well :)
-
Fuzzywuzzy - you have done an awesome job! I would love to lose 17kg, you must feel fantastic! Aside from exercise what are you doing differently?
Ngala - you're so right about not putting it off forever! I didn't go to WW last week but am definitely there on Wednesday. In terms of motivating yourself to stay on track in your TWW, maybe think about being healthy for if there is a bub growing. Then, if there is your pg is off to a great start and if there isn't, you have stayed on track and hopefully lost more. I do hope this is your last TWW though ;)
Nickle - don't be too hard on yourself for not exercising with a 7 week old! I had barely left the house when DS was 7 weeks old. It's ok to take it easy, you're still recovering from pg and birth! I have heard the same thing about soft drinks, diet or not. I love coke zero too and up until now have had the occasional can in DS's presence without a problem but yesterday he decided he wanted to try it and we always eat together/share our food if he asks to try it so I couldn't say no. :o Will be making the coke zero's an evening thing if I need something sweet from now on (after he is in bed!) and will hopefully phase them out altogether. I only really get into soft drink in summer and that will be over here by end of March! lol.
Tanstar - :hooray: yay for you! I noticed your 1.2kg ticker move in another thread. Well done.
JBM - good luck with the exercise. What do you do? I find it the hardest part of being healthy/loosing weight.
Kellijh - :hello: Welcome! I am sure you will get to your goal by 10 March. What kind of advice did you get from the dietician?
AFM - Well I ended up not joining WW last week. It was just too hectic with getting home from work late and DS had been with MiL all day and although he was fine I didn't want to rush off again within half an hour of getting home because he was already out of routine and she'd never minded him before. She is supportive. Well, she tries to be I think but she operates more on an information rather than an emotion level itms? I think the type of people we seek support from in losing weight is crucial. At least it is for me. In thinking about why I didn't want to tell MiL, I realised I need more emotional support and encouragement, rather than 20 questions about the method I am choosing and an hour long discussion of it's relative merits and drawbacks compared to other methods  I have told my mum but she isn't living close by. I am thinking of telling my mum's group mates, a few of them anyway. Usually I keep my weight loss efforts to myself but usually I am not very successful or it doesn't last so maybe I need to do that part differently this time and tell a few people who will ask in a supportive way and help me stay on track.
Anyway, I did put it off and I haven't been that great in terms of eating this week but I have been itching to get there on Wed and get started! I did go for a walk yesterday and I also did hours of gardening, pulling out weeds and grass mainly. There is heaps to go to get our garden back to a decent shape from total jungle so that will be my main exercise for a while. It's only once or twice a week but better than nothing.
Hope you are all having a good start to the week!
-
Hello!!! Is it Monday already?! Gee it goes quick!
My weight this morning was... 72.6kg So that means I had a 900g loss since last week. I did all my measurements too and I am the same everywhere apart from waist where I had 1cm loss. Only little progress but its better than nothing!
JBM - Welcome!! :hello: I hope that your weightloss journey is a successful one and you get the hot bod that you want!
kellijh - :hello: Welcome to you too!! 5kg by March is do-able I think! YOu will need to be very strick on yourself but once you start getting used to it all, the weight will just be falling off. What advice did the dietician give you?
Fuzzy - That is good that you are feeling better. I hate being sick! Now you can get on the track and work on getting to your goal weight :)
Kaz - Oh that IS a good way to think about my TWW! Start eating healthy at the start and then I will be off to a great start - Thanks! I will try and think like that :D You definitely need people to support you and I think that should start in your very own home! Make sure that your OH understands that you need to do this and to do this you need to remove all the temptations out of your house! This works a treat for me because if its not there, then I wont be craving it!! You can treat yourself every so often but have to make sure you dont go overboard but I am sure that WW will have lots of yummy food and recipes for you. Gardening is a good exercise and definitely better than nothing! If you don't like the gym then there is heaps to do at home, like getting some exercise dvds and going for it in your own living room!
Today I have already been for a jog, did an hours session with my trainer at the gym (made me sweat big time!) and soon I am going to give my house a real good clean. I think I might even treat myself with a yummy cake/muffin when I go do the food shopping. Hmm but if I start now, I might not be able to stop!

Hi guys...
Just a quick update... weighed in & OMG 1.9kg loss.... unbelieveable... I am stoked...
I have been very good with exercise, but could have done more over the weekend & have been watching what I eat!
Still writing in my diary so so far so good.... heres hoping it continues!!!
Hope everyone is keeping up the good work....
-
Mitch - that is awesome hun!! Such a good weightloss in one week. I think that you will keep at it until you reach your goal because you will feel so great about losing some kg. Good work and keep it up!
-
well my first day of REALLY trying has been good so far. and i have my pedometer on today so i can count my steps. i am going to go and do soma laps of my driveway which is 120 m long by the way, this easily adds 2000 steps to my day if i do 4 or 5 laps up and down.
i am being good.
-
hi all!!
Thank you for your replies. The dietician gave me advise on substituting certain foods for other things. She also reccommended alot of LOW GI items to me - apparently that is good for PCOS treatment. I'm feeling really good after a week of it so look forward to continuing on!!
Mitch - congrats on the loss - thats great news!
I'm thinking of going to buy some scales but certainly wont be weighing myself every week - perhaps once a fortnight! I dont want to get all depressed if theres no downward movement in a week so best not to watch and just keep plugging away.
I hope your all well.
Is anyone else here TTC? We are about to start on the IVF/ICSI journey - other options werent really suitable and we dont want to wast much time! Just wondering about your stories and experiences.
Much love!
K

Bahhh... 78.3kg. I think that's the same as last Monday. Still, I am pleased not to have gained this week! It turned out to be a very social week, lots of eating and very little exercising. I am not going to give myself a hard time until after the big kids are back at school the week after next. Then, I WILL go to the gym!!! It would be nice to kick start the weight loss before then though...
Congratulations to those who have had losses and welcome to the girls who have joined us!
-
Bah! I pigged out bad this evening :( I had a stressful day at work cause I handed in my resignation and felt pretty bad cause I'm leaving them in the lurch so I came home and ate the remaining choc wafer sticks I had (there was prob quarter a tin left-DD did have a few too) and a big bowl of spaghetti bog. Oops!!! Definitely emotional eater and I know it. Just can't stop myself!!
Tomorrow will be a better day..

Hi Girls!
I have started doing tae-bo and my muscles are so sore after 2 days! It's a good pain though because I know that it's gonna be worth having toned muscles and an even hotter body :D
Tan - Congrats on you mid week loss, how did you go with your weekly weigh in? I think I might check out Jillian's DVD too :) Just to mix it up with the tae-bo
Kaz - In the beginning I was counting my kilojoules big time and cooked out of the Symply to good to be true books most of the time. It was a huge thing for me to learn proper portion sizes instead of just eating whatever I wanted. Good luck at WW tonight!
Kellijh - Welcome! When I first started I had mini goals of 5kg as well, it makes it seem so much more achievable. What are the main things the dietician has asked you to focus on? I'm not TTC at the moment, hopefully in a few months we will be
JBM - Welcome back familiar face! I did the 10,000 steps challenge a couple of months back with my pedometer. It was great to have the daily goal to get to, I was so much more active then. But now it's too hot to be out walking everyday, I can't do my 1 hr round trip to playgroup because it finishes at 11.30 and it is sooo hot by then, I think I'd get heatstroke of something.
Ngala - Awesome loss last week  Don't stress about the food too much, get the bad stuff out of the house so it's not an option and try to have healthy options at the ready. Homemade hommus is awesome and really good for you, you can also precut carrot/celery/capsicum/broccoli sticks, whatever vege you want basically and have that in the fridge to snack on with the hommus.
Mitch - Fantastic loss! Keep doing what you're doing and the weight will keep falling off!
Nickle- That's great that you didn't have a gain, especially with socialising it can be so easy to OD on the snacks and alcohol. I'm not actually in the flooding zone but know so many people affected. My 2 best friends in Brisbane were evacuated and one still hasn't got power back yet, SIL just had a baby in Rockhampton and their house was flooded so she had to take her baby home to MIL's house and they're not sure when they'll be able to go back home due to water damage. So it's been a bit stressful worrying about everyone else
Telly - Where are you?!?!? :D
-
Ngala - 900g loss is awesome! Well done. I am in awe of the amount of exercise you do mate. I also eat when sad, upset, bored etc. It sucks. Try not to stress about it and just get on with making good choices now.
Mitch - wow a 1.9kg loss :hooray: for you hun and :hello: I remember you from a body transformation challenge when I first joined BB.
kellijh - I'm glad you're feeling good. That's the best part of eating well I reckon. I am hoping to be TTC soon-ish. We didn't have any trouble with DS but DP is finishing up chemo treatment next month and we don't know how it's affected his fertility. :fingerscrossed: we're all good but it's another reason I want to get my weight down into a healthy range now.
Nickle - at least it wasn't a gain. Think of it as a consolidation week. And now you know you can maintain your weight while still socialising :)
Fuzzywuzzy - :hello: I've heard of tae bo, is it a bit like tai chi?
AFM - you will notice my ticker now has more weight to lose lol!! I weighed in at WW tonight and I have a little more than I thought. :wall: I'm not surprised cause of how tight all my clothes are and I've recently bought a few items in the next size up for work EEEEEK! This is the heaviest I've ever been (not counting pg) and it's a bit depressing but I am trying to look on the bright side that at least I haven't waited until all my clothes are in the next size. I do feel gross though and am really looking forward to making healthy choices and feeling better in myself. I have so many size 10-12 clothes that I used to fit into and when I think about the money I've spent on clothing in 4 different size ranges its a bit mind boggling!
I'm not that fussed on the WW facilitator though. She seems nice enough and she's been doing it for ages but her group facilitation skills are shocking! I do group facilitation/group work in my job so I'm probably a harsher critic than most (although I think it's pretty standard that reading from your session plan in a deapan voice and then expecting people to discuss it enthusiastically is not the way to go lol!). Most of the meeting was spent with her reading rote style and then being greeted with silence after her questions. I can't sit through that each week. Instead of letting it put me off (like it did a bit last time I went 18 months ago) I've decided to be more proactive and help her out a bit by participating a lot. It's not usually my style to be front and centre but I'm going for me so I have to be proactive.

Hi ladies!
I hope I'm not gatecrashing but I just found this thread and would love to join your plight for weight loss and healthy bodies.
I had my don 15 mths ago and since that time have struggled with the weight loss. Over the past 5 mths I've lost around 15kg but am currently struggling with motivation but would like to lose another 5-10 by Easter. I would love your help with the motivation.
I noticed you all seem to post your weights on Monday's so I will post mine tomorrow (after I weigh in the morning) and then weigh on Monday's too.
Any suggestions for me?

Welcome Tammie!! No you are definitely not gate crashing any thing here - The more the merrier I say!! 15kg in 5 months is absolultey awesome!!! Well done  You do get to a point where you start lacking motivation and are somewhat comfortable with where you are at. You just have to try and push past that! Are you exercising and eating well? Some times your body can platuea (sp?) so you need to do something different diet or exercise wise to give it a kick start back in to motion. What did you do to lose the 15kg?
Kaz - YAY you joined WW! Good on ya. But oh well at the facilitator not receiving more involvment in the sessions. I hate when that happens cause it end up being a drag. I hope it was just cause it was the first session and things start picking up :) Oh yes, I love my exercise - I've been doing it for so long now that I don't feel right if I dont get up in the morning and start my day with a jog.
Fuzzy - is tae-bo fun to do? Those sore muscles will stop soon and you will soon see the benefits of the exercising!
Well another blow out for me this afternoon. Not too bad but still a blow out! I keep forgetting to tell myself that "I am eating to a healthy pregnancy!!" I should right that on a post it note somewhere so I don't forget...

Hi again everyone!!
Well I weighed myself this morning and I'm quite ashamed to write this but I currently weigh 104.4 kg and am a size 16 top and 18 bottom. I'm aiming to get to 75kg and be size 12-14.
When I first started (on 17/8/10) my weight loss journey I weighed 120 so I have come a long way I guess. I originally started on the Dukan diet which is basically high protein and no carbs. After 3 mths I switched to Tony Ferguson for a bit of a change. I quite enjoy the shakes etc but I've just been maintaining WL through Xmas NY holidays so am looking to start again now.
I don't exercise enough which is my problem... Between work and Eli I struggle to find time regularly. I try to do 50 sit ups 3 times a week and 20 min sessions on cross trainer. I would like to do this 3 times a week but usually only do once ATM... Need to get my ass into gear!

JBM - you mightn't se the scale move straight away as your body could be adjusting to the new diet so dont be too disheartened.
AFM I'm going to be ashamed to put my weight up tomorrow. Diet been crap few days, AF showed up this morning which I'm not happy bout :( anyway back on the wagon!!
