just wondering how i can lose weight while breastfeeding. my bub is now almost 18months and still feeding once at lunch, once at bedtime and then snacking (for comfort mostly) through the night. am studying for my honours at uni and so am pretty busy in a sedentary kind of way (reading, typing, more reading) but do try to get some exercise in each day, be it pilates or a 3-6km walk (30-60mins). am currently doing a food diary and am eating as healthily as i can stand by limiting carbs and then trying to cut them out by 3pm, avoiding sugars/baking, eating plenty of fresh fruit and veg and drinking water. am currently 84kg and want to get back to somwhere in the realms of my pre-preg weight of 62-67kg (have always gone up and down but never ...until baby lol... outside of this. although was underweight at 58kg when got pregnant, but apart from that... any thoughts/advice/support/criticism?
basically am counting calories per day of between upper 1500s to mid 1700s. is this okay? i love breastfeeding so don't want to jeopardise this, but surely since my darling is not taking all his nutritional needs from my milk it won't make too much difference to it's nutritional value? right...?
