Eluned - I am so so proud of your xtrainer today!!!!!! YOU ROCK!

Winter - you can do it!

B good on you for your purchase! I hope you love it as much as I love mine!!! And it doesn't matter what numbers you're pulling at the moment - you will gradually build up to where you want to be!

I'm still sick. No training since Fri. Missing it. Depressed about having not lost weight. Thinking of giving light'n'easy a go... someone break up the pity party!

    Cool

Poor MG! Are you feeling better now? Hope you don't go like a bull at a gate once you're training again ease back into it my love, you have been sick and your body is recovering.

Berny - yayayayayayayayaay!!! So jealous of having a treadmill in your loungeroom!! You can watch trash tv & get fit - yipppppeeeeee!!!

Eluned - Right, you're on. 15km Pancake Run 2011 - the BB Perth girls are going to rock it!!

Leesa - how are you going hun? What's happened with your transfer at work? Has the gym got a name yet?

    CQ - coooooooeeeeeeeeee

Heather - how have you been this week? Did you get Combat in yesterday?

Nettie - 15 min hun?? You know I'm cheering for you!

    Nellnell - --> --> --> Motivation --> --> --> sending it your way!

AFM - I've started reading labels and cutting sugar out of my diet. I love this change, I feel better already and I have lost 1kg this week already. Trust me, I am eating everything in sight just avoiding anything that has a >10% sugar content. Not watching any other carbs, or fats, just sugar. I am trying to get my hands on the book "Sweet Poison" about sugar and its effect on our bodies but its sold out where I have been looking. Will duck up to the shops later and see if I can find it at Big W. Exercise has been hard to get into this week, because its bloody cold here and its forecast to rain for the next week straight. Oh well. Must . go. to. gym!

Had a quick read of all the posts....WOW everyone is doing so well

MG: You just gotta get your groove back No pity party to break, you have had a tough couple of weeks. Throw your scales away and judge your size by your clothes

Winter: Check out The Book Depository. It's a an OS site, they ship world wide for free and are usually cheaper than all the department stores. They are also quick on postage. I just had a quick look and they have what I think you are looking for.

AFM: Didn't make it to Combat yesterday. DH had the day off so we took the kids to Healesville Sanctuary and wandered around there for a couple of hours. It was great.
I have just changed DS2's swimming so I am going to be able to go to gym on Monday's now as well Just have to decide what takes my fancy, either Spin, Pump or Attack.

Just a quick pop in..will be back later as DS1 has a friend arriving for a play any minute!

WELL Im so proud I found this thread, I have been struggling lately trying to find my mojo with the commitment to the exercise, but reading everybody's comments have motivated me to get my butt into gear!

So this is my deal, I have always maintained weight around 63kgs but have rather large hips, that make me hate that part of my body. I currently, weigh in at 65.5 kilos (put on 1.5 kgs in last month, stoopid winter) and although im in healthy weight range for my height (not sure on numbers exactly) I would like to be down to a steady size 10, ideally before I get UTD-but if not then too bad, so my goal is to get down to 60kgs.

    My routine currently is:

Walking for 1/2 hour - 45 minutes, Monday to Friday
    Mixed Volleyball - Monday nights
Ladies netball game - Tuesday nights
    Mixed Netball - Wednesday ights
Ladies netball training - Thursday nights

I used to (and this is where I havent been motivated) get up and do 1/2 hour on X-Trainer, so am planning on adding that into the mix, possibly next week (this week I have only been practicing getting up early again lol)

...And also start going back to the gym and attending Combat on Monday nights & Attack on Wednesday nights, it may seem a bit much, but I have been doing this amount of exercise (without the walking part) for the last 7 years so nothing new to me.

So just wanted to say thankyou, and hopefully you can all get stuck into me if I fall off the wagon again please?

    Welcome to the team, Tan

MG, how are you feeling hun?

Winter, how are you going with training in this weather? Do you have a treadmill at home (sorry can't remember if you've mentioned that before). I sooo need to kick my sugar habit too. It's my downfall. I cooked a really healthy meal for dinner tonight (Tandoori chicken, pumpkin mash biggest loser style, actually quite yummy) and then messed it all up by having a big bowl of icecream and a hot milo afterwards. Oh and DH bought a donut home from work for me which I scoffed down. Blergh, I have no self control.

Hoping to get a really good session on the xtrainer tomorrow. Being the weekend DH can watch the kidlets. The last two nights have been no go as DD has been quite unsettled and every time I went to hop on, she woke up/cried/needed cuddles, etc and by 9pm I feel like it's too late (and I'm too buggered!) to get on the xtrainer.

I've been trying to stretch out my left hip/glute, still sore when I sleep on it at night and very tight during day. I'm trying to toss up whether to see a physio, osteo or chiro about it. Need to do something more than stretching.

How's everyone else? Busy working out I hope!

    Hi Girls.

    Welcome Tan!

Winter - I've done two sessions this week and took it easy for both. Very hard considering I can be competitive (as we all can!) and went to the gym with a friend last night and she was running and I was stuck walking!!!! But I behaved

Heather - thanks hon. I do try to go by clothes but they are so whacky with sizing it is difficult to do... but I am going to cut my calories back further and see how I go.

Eluned - I'm sorry your hip and glute are causing you grief hon. I'd probably see the osteo - ask them to check your solas, TA, hip flexor, and glutes. It is probably a combination and will need to relieve all of them. When your back spasms or tightens, the front (hip flexor and solace) will tighten to compensate for the pain being caused. Then the back tightens and spasms to compensate for the front... it's a viscous circle! Have you tried the balls hon? I use them for my glutes (sitting on them as well as laying), back, legs, and hip flexor!

Leesa - how are you doing? I miss you hon!

AFM - my cold is still lingering. And AF also decided to visit this week. Lovely. Thanks for making me feel even more miserable! LOL But on Thursday I decided I NEEDED to do a session. So I just did a home session. 30 min on t'mill. At 15 I felt like I'd done 30. My body was not liking it... I pushed and pushed and I STILL couldn't get my HR above 160 which was bloody annoying! Even sick I couldn't get it up! ARG! Then I went to work... and let's just say that was probably a bad idea! BUT, I was in charge and couldn't call in sick! So off I went, got cross with a couple of staff and put one in her place much to her disgust! But TOUGH!

Last night my friend (who also trains with D) and I went to the gym together after work. D nearly died when we walked in! Anyway, I did 45 min. 20 t'mill, 15 bike, 5 t'mill, 5 cool down. It wasn't a brilliant session for me because I'm still recovering (plus did the late shift followed by early which = no sleep!) and I was annoyed I didn't do xtrainer... until I got home and was sore in the hips! So good thing I skipped xtrainer!!!!!!

Oh... and I joined the gym yesterday!
