I agree - for a short person I can generally carry more weight than most people think that I do. I have friends who look heavier than me and wear larger sizes but actually weigh less, even though they are slightly taller. I carry a lot of muscle though and am usually quite active and fit so I don't look as bulky as others who weigh the same (or I am potentially deluding myself - i don't know)
I am in the triple figures and I think I'm disgustingi am an emotional eater and its crap but I'm to blame.
Delhpmoon - Emotional eating is very hard to break, I know cause I do it to and it's been hard with doing ivf and trying to lose weight and stop myself from emotionally eating.
Delphmoon, I don't care if you weigh 500kilos, you are not disgusting![]()
I agree with n2l delphmoon you are not disgusting, having been overweight all my life I feel for you hun and am here to chat whenever you feel down about it, sending a hug your way xo
It is my own fault...I am in the process of changing my lifestyle so I can loose this weight.
I feel bad for my beautiful husband who is just so loving and accepting of it that I feel bad for him having to be with me.
Anyway...enough about me and sorry to hijack the topic...
thankyou girls xxx
I am 5ft 2 and hover between 50 and 52kg. Any heavier and I start to feel Blergh. I am one of the lucky ones with one of those metabolisms. At one stage during a particular stressful time I weighed 45kg, I just could not get weight on and I was very self conscious and dressed to disguise it.
I am finding as I reach 40 and beyond I have to be much more careful.
I tend not to go by scales. I go by clothes size and how my clothes fit as to how I am going.
I'm 5'4 and since my early 20's my weight has swung between 64-78. This is caused by stress or depression or how happy I am in my life. I'm current 68 kg and would like to loose a bit more to get to 62-64 but want to get fit in the process. I hate how I yoyo but I'm yet to learn how to stop it![]()
i am 165cm and weigh 74kgs. ideally i would like to get below 70kgs but unfortunately i love food and wine and don't like exercise lol, so i can't really see it happening anytime too soon!
Nooooo way. You are tiny. Not that 74 is huge. But I would have honestly said 58-65 (being generous).
And not that there is anything wrong with 74. I would probably happily chop off a few limbs for 74. But it just goes to show ladies the number means jack all.
no way! really??
i am in the overweight category....
I know for a fact that many of you who are heavier than me will easily be 100 times fitter and healthier too.
Great point Lenny![]()
OK I'm game to join in on this conversation.... I'm 116.7Kg at last weigh in, down from 134Kg on my wedding day. Still have 36.7Kg to go to get to my ultimate goal weight.
Been seeing a personal trainer for a little over 2 months now and with his help have managed to get my weight loss to a stable 0.5kg loss each week (I even managed to lose weight during Christmas week, YAY!) rather than what I was doing on my own which was losing anywhere from 1.5 - 2.8 kg one week and then putting weight on the next week. Hoping to increase this regular loss from 0.5 to at least 1Kg a week over the next few weeks...
We're all so much more than a number on the scales.
I'm 162cms and my weight has increased by 2kgs to 57kgs - thanks to regular strength training. My clothes are looser as I've increased my lean muscle mass and reduced the amount of fat I had been carrying. Strength training is great!
Right, everyone out with the callipers![]()
