A family member of mine just recently told me that she went in thinking it was going to be her 'miracle cure'. She didnt prepare herself at all... and has really let herself down. She said that along with the surgery you need to be in the right head space. You can still eat everything, its just the way that you prepare it is different. She still eats all the wrong foods and she knows it but she just isnt ready. She paid $11000 out of her savings and feels terrible. Her doctor wont tighten her band anymore as she still is pushing the limits.
Having said all that, another family member has had GREAT success. The surgery went well thank goodness and recovery was managable she said.
