No, I haven't done it before so it's all new to me!
My DVD's are on order. I hope they don't take too long to get here. I bought the one that you didn't! lol and there was a Jillian Michaels one on special for about $13 so I grabbed that one as well.
Went back to the gym yesterday. It's so much easier running on a treadmill, but I feel like maybe I'm just not a runner! lol I feel so awkward!! I did half an hour of cardio before I had to go and pick DS up and only burnt 250 calories. How much exercise have you been doing to reach over 2000??

Be interesting to hear what the other MB dvd is like, the tight, toned and terrific is good but the super shredder really makes me work! Especially arms and abs! I've heard the Jillian Michaels ones are good as well.
I don't think I've run since sports at high school and that was a loooong time ago! I'm rather busty (read - HUGE!) and breastfeeding so no sports bra is going to keep these girls under control! :) I'm happy with walking! hahaha! :)
Exercise, I'll tell you what I did for the week, I keep it all written down in a trusty litte book next to the computer!
Wed - Yoga - 311cal
Thurs - Walking (1hr) - 510 cal
Fri - walk (35mins) - 284 cal. TT&T dvd - 321cal
Sat - walk (37min) - 288cal
Sun - walk (38min) - 286 cal
Mon - walk (40min) - 320 cal
Tues - Circuit Shredder dvd - 351 cal
All up - 2671cal in the week.
My weekly exercise diary looks like this:
Wednesday - Yoga (possibly an am walk, 30-40mins)
Thursday - walk. 30-40mins
Friday - day off
Saturday - walk, 30-40mins, in the am by myself, walk during the day with the kids (1 in pram, 1 on bike, usually about 45mins)
Sunday - dvd (TT&T) (possibly an am walk, 30-40mins)
Monday - walk, 30-40mins
Tues - dvd (SS) (possibly an am walk, 30-40mins)
I have 3 planned walks, 2 planned dvd's and 1 planned yoga. The rest of the time I've been trying really hard to get up that little bit earlier and go for a walk by myself. I'm finding it really theraputic and some 'me' time before the rest of the family gets up. This means I have to get up and go around 5:30am though! Early but it's then or never!
-
That sounds really good Doodlebug! Be prepared to up the ante on the walking though ;)
My weekly plan looks like this...
Monday am jog, pm aikido
Tuesday am bike, pm weights
Wednesday am jog, pm pump class
Thursday am bike, pm body balance class
Friday swim
Saturday aikido but I want to eventually build up to cycling to training and home again which is a 22km round trip. That's my major milestone.
My plan might change depending on what Michelle sets out for the Lean & Strong. My morning sessions are going to have to be early too before kids and hubby get up.....sooooo hard to get out of bed at 5:30am though :/
-
Eluned.... How much more walking can a girl do????? It's just getting light when I leave and if I get home any later I'm never going to get the morning jobs done to get ds1 to school on time.... sigh.... I suppose that's just an excuse right???? LOL!! :)
-
I meant more like doing something more energetic :) like jogging or intervals (walk/run/walk/run). You can burn more cals walking though by wearing hand or ankle weights. Or instead of the walking do one of Mish's outdoor programs. Just for variety and to work your body differently. Only sayin' cos I started off with walking myself and found after a few weeks, my body just got used to it and I just plateaued so had to ramp it up a notch with more intensive workouts.
-
Aaahhhhh... that makes sense! There will be no jogging/running in my world! I'm very well endowed at the best of times but add breastfeeding into the mix and the birds had better watch out for black eyes, not just me! LOL! :)
Might add in an extra dvd to do early when it's dark then walk after I finish that.....
Can't wait for the mealplans and everything to come out!
I got on the scales this morning and I've lost 2kg this week! WoooHooo!! I'm absolutely stoked with that, especially as my period arrived yesterday and boy it's a doozy!!!

Both of your exercise plans look great! I sat down to do mine tonight after finally getting the timetable from the gym. There are hardly any classes on at the times I can make it due to mine or DH's work. I really wanted to give the boxing class a go, it's on twice per week and I can't get to either one! I suppose it doesn't help that I live in a small town so it's only a small gym!
I was hoping to set it for the next 12 weeks, but this is what I will try next week and see how it works for us
Mon - Jog/Bike 3pm (after work)
Tues - Body Pump 5.30pm
Wed - Rest day
Thur - Jog/Bike 7am
Fri - Yoga (DVD) or Pilates at the gym
Sat - Weights - yet to figure out what time of day to fit this in!
Sun - RPM 10am
I would love to do Pilates on Friday and Body Pump saturday mornings at the gym, but I take DS swimming Fri, and then to music on Sat at the same time they're on!
Every second thursday I have mothers group, so on the week that I don't have it I will go to Body Attack at 9.30. DH works nights, so he'll be home and I'm sure he wont mind getting up for an hour to look after DS while I'm gone.
I am really struggling a bit with trying to diarise everything. Now I have to squeeze the grocery shopping in there somewhere and that's a 2.5-3 hour event for me given the travelling. I think I just have to learn to be super duper organised. I'm just feeling a bit daunted by it all tonight.

Hi girls....I just signed up too!,, I am just figuring out all I have to do.... Am fitbec on the forum there... Yay for the challenge hey!

Oh My, I've lost weight, even with the horrible food and too much alcohol on the weekend, I still lost.
Can't wait for the plans etc being released today :)
-
Well, I've been through my menu and exercise plan. Bugger not having a printer at the moment. Would come in very handy for printing the shopping list and the recipes. Really looking forward to a couple of the meals. Both DH and I are going to give everything a go at least once. Sweet potato & roast capsicum pizza and the beef with mustard mushroom sauce. Yummm

:o just signed up and I am sooooo nervous :( and confused, Im really worried I wont be able to follow the exercise and Im gonna be hungry. I know Im a whinger but Im really worried about it! Cant find anywhere to add the breastfeeding thing??

Sorry, being a thread hog here but is anyone else having trouble getting the food??? We live in a small town and 1 supermarket and lets just say there was NO variety to get a lot of the fresh produce and the cold meat (turkey somethings) cost $30...does this sound right????
-
To get most of the fresh food and the fish I was able to go to a market about 40 minutes away, and I've just done the rest of the shop this morning. Some things I had trouble finding or just didn't get them at all. I'll substitute for something else if I need to when the time comes to cook the meal. I bought the turkey that is pre-packaged in the fridge section for about $5. That was for 200g and I will try and stretch that out for the week.
I would have had no hope getting half the food at my local supermarket, but luckily I have the option of driving 30-40min to a bigger one where I could get most things.
I think I am going to have to start growing herbs though... they're expensive in the supermarket and never seem to last long.
Has everyone done their fitness test? I did it this morning and as expected, I am definitely a beginner! It was hard finding somewhere to do my 1km test. My lovely DH ran it first with his GPS to measure the distance so I knew where the finish was. So, I have a new goal which is to get the 1km down to the intermediate level, under 8 minutes.
I feel ready now. Weighed, measured, shopped...just need to do the before photos.

Well official weight lost today is 3.1kg (from first weigh in on Monday). I was bad yesterday as I was feeling really sick (dizzy, having trouble walking in a straight line, clammy, nauseated etc) so I didn't exercise, just went for a 4.5km walk (didn't stroll, took under an hour to get there) to the markets, walked around there for a while and then caught a tram home. So at least I did some exercise.
So I'm about to go and grab breakfast, do a load of washing and then head to the gym (15 min walk each way).
-
wow that's amazing weightloss... i lost 0.3kg since sunday... i guess a loss is a loss LOL. i didnt get to gym yesterday, will go today though
-
That's awesome Sopdet!! Hope you're feeling better today.
MamaPan, a loss is a loss! Well done. You'll find some weeks are big losses, some are small, but they all count in the end. Just wait for accelerator days! :)
I lost 800grams since Friday. Didn't do any exercise yesterday as was up all night with a sick toddler and breastfeeding DD as well! I'm going to do a Pump class tonight, Balance tomorrow, and a big 2 hour Aikido training session on Friday night.
How has everyone else gone?

Oh man, i am o kicking myself that i didn't join! The food sounds really really yum! I will follow you guys and be cheering from the sidelines, and next time round i am 100% there!
