:p belfie
yaay it wasn't a fluke. i weighed in again today and I was ANOTHER 200g lighter even than yesterday (when I thought it was all due to fasting). Woo hoo
And I was at a friend's place all arvo helping with her bub (she's done her knee - needs a knee reco) so I walked them both. My boofer in the stroller and her dainty princess in the baby bjorn. Got my exercise AND her bub to sleep - win win all round. I also took a nice healthy yoghurt & nuts snack for myself so I wouldn't be tempted by junk.
And now I really really really feel like making a packet mix cake of some sort. Pls tell me not to do it
Hope everyone is having a great week otherwise.
Nadine216 - I'm curious as to where you are now... give me a hint? which country? Truly, aus is a great place to live :p
DON'T :o :o:
And now I really really really feel like making a packet mix cake of some sort.
Good work Belfie. I'll give you a tip as to Where in the World is Nadine Sandiago
And I live at the most Southern Point:
XXXXXX is the world's second-largest and second most-populous continent
well the dog barked RIGHT OUTSIDE DS's room (after he'd been overtired, 1 nap less than usual today) and was happily asleep. So now instead of watching my fave show (the finale, no less) we walked him round the block for 30 mins after every other attempt could not get him back to sleep. So no cake AND walk, I supposed I should thank the dog
And um on the hint... oh geez, I'm gonna have to turn my brain on for that... ok so I borrowed DH's instead  he reckons either South Africa or Chile depending on whether the Americas count as one or two continents...
I don't think this week is shaping up so well as I have had a cold and not able to get out and exercise as much, plus I have a Hen's night on Saturday which is a dinner. I think I will try to eat only half of everything - it is a pre-paid 3 course meal so no selections :(
Hi guys,
Nadine - I already know where you are so don't want to cheat.
Belfie - one of the two is right :)
Nai - I hope you feel better soon! If you can, eat first before going to the hens night. Or you can save some calories/points during the week to spend on that night. And if you do have a bit of a blow-out make sure you at least enjoy the night!
Well this week is ok so far. I had a low exercise day on Tuesday - just walked the dog. Yesterday I jogged (14 mins jog, 2 mins walk, 14 mins jog). Today I have to ride in to work and back so that is a good 30 mins. We have MIL and niece here at the moment. MIL is always "are you sure you don't want some pancakes, not even just one? if I get you some maple syrup will you have one" argh! But I have been good. Haven;t been over any targets yet. Tonight is pizza though so will have to restrain myself there.
Am going to weigh-in on Saturday this week as am off to Cairns sunday morning for the week. Am a bit worried about putting on weight while I am away as I won't have any of my normal exercise things going and will be at a catered conference - eek! I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!
Go Belfie's neighbours dog :cheer: I had to give my car a running start this morning  that's my exercise done for the day.
DH is right - South Africa :)
Nai - hun, me and you are in the same boat. I got a nasty case of sinus/hayfever/headcold thing going on and then I eat to get this icky taste out of my mouth. BUT my DARLING DH brough home my fav chocolate last night and told me that I can have it guilt free on Sunday, IF is stick to eating right. So I'm a bit more motivated this morning. I have to second krysalyss's ideas of eating before hand. And if not, you can always DRINK enough at the party (sodawater I mean - with ice, that looks like a drink) to keep you full and away from munching to much
Krys - You are doing go good!! Really an insperation, I would have been ALL over those pancakes with that kind of encouragement. About your catered confress - YOU CAN DO IT!!!
I went for my last physio app yesterday and stuff it, I'm starting gym on Monday. Come hell or high water, headcold or sleepless nights. I can't go on like this. After pushing the car this morning I was so out of breath it's disgusting. Going to get my strings together and do this thing.
Oh - going to try a new recipe tonight. Chicken and cashew stir-fry. Don't know how that falls into my diet, but just half a portion won't kill me, right? Right?? Say yes!!
Yes. Lol is that what you were after Nadine!!
Arg ive been so slack, completely lost motivation; feel like im getting no where!! When i was sick i lost 5kg so was like ok good this can be my platform...but no. Most of it is back on ggrrr
Hope everyone else is doing fab!!
THANK YOU Ammaki :) Just because you said so ;)
YAAAAAAAY! where is the "happy for meeee" emoticon when I need it?
Did my fasting glucose and my HbA1c (which picks up on glucose levels over the last few months) and they're both absolutely a-ok fine-diddly-fine! :leap:
Super duper relieved AND have been referred to a dietician to help me with my fructose malasorption and eating low GI/preventative stuff. My docs says I might be erring towards the side of impaired glucose tolerance, but all that I have to do for that is eat low GI, lose weight & exercise - sound familiar!??!? So i'm soooo relieved :hooray: and we've both (me & doc) agreed that I'll just monitor my BSL's myself just occasionally to keep an eye on them (given upcoming plans to TTC). AND she thought I'd done super well to lose 6kg :hooray:
Oh and lol, it was MY darn dog that barked, not even someone else's
oops gotta run... BBL
Oh joy!! That is good news about the BST. Do one say congratulations ??? happpeeee for you
 Give your darn dog a treat ;)
Yay Belfie - great news!!!
I would love to eat beforehand and not eat anything but I am paying $65 for the flipping meal so I want to get something for my money  Maybe if I eat loads of point-free vegies that day and the day after it will be ok. Plus if I only eat half of each course. I hate set menu thing where you don't get a choice and being vegetarian usually means no choice at all :(
Belfie - Yay yay yay!!! That is awesome news!
Nai - Totally understand about wanting to get our moneys worth. Also about being vegetarian - and it is usually cheese topped with more cheese. lol. Just think of it as a metabolism boosting day :)
Well I will be weighing tomorrow cos of my trip. Think I may have lost a little but don't really know. Hopefully have lost 0.5kg. Cant see that I could have lost more than that.
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!
Well I weighed myself and I lost 0.75kg - yay! So am now down 3.25kg.
I was lucky that the dinner for the Hens Night wasn't as bad as I had expected. I got a gnocchi with a tomato based sauce which was much better than the cheese on cheese that I was anticipating for the vegetarian option. I'm finally getting over my cold so this week I'm back into it!!
How was everyone's weekend?
I need to hide in shame and NEVER come out :(
I'm to afraid to get on the scale, because I've been bad ... that sucks because I have not even been dieting for so long. It's just darn hard to diet when you have discoverd food and started cooking and baking :(
I'm watching my portions and making good choices though .... jelly sweets instead of chocolate, sorbet instead of ice-cream, home-baked whole-wheat yoghurt bread instead of store bought white. That last one is actually worse than white bread. It's so darn delis, that you can't stop. It does not even need butter or jam :o
So not going to change my ticker *bad* or get on the scale. Just going to try again from today.
I went shopping with DH for clothes for him on Sunday and were overwelmed by the fashion in the stores this season, because it's all so wearable ... now if only I was that size 36 I'm longing to be .....
Oooh Nadine - don't hide in shame! Good on you for trying again today - i'm sure that distinguishes the people who never get "there" from those who do... it's the ones that pick themselves back up from a bad day/week/month and try again! So good on you  it's always hardest starting again after a lapse I reckon.
Nai - that's great the vego option was alright! and wow great loss, well done
Well I'm sooo excited - another .4kg lost yay me! I've really picked back up again and I'm so thrilled. Starting to be able to dig out some skinnier clothes again... I thought I only needed to lose another 2 kgs for a "normal" BMI, but after my diabetes scare, I want to get my waistline under 80cm (and I'm so apple shaped :() which means another ~8kg to go! Have decided to incorporate this into my sig to keep me motivated!
Hope everyone else is going ok
 thanks belfie. So I started again this morning and forgot to pack my breakfast   So now I'm sitting here STARVING for something to eat and that ham, cheese and egg toastie accross the street is beckonning like mad. I've already sucked down two cups of rooibos tea (black, no sugar ;) ) and are nursing my tummy with loads of water, but it's just not working. I need to eat something, otherwise I'm going to go nuts over lunch. I wonder if someone will drive into town to get me some instant cereal  I'm going to ask.
Great loss Belfie :) Almost half way
