Giving myself a good hard kick!

ok I've been MIA... I'm up late... DH is snoring and I can't sleep ... I've nearly posted to give myself a big kick up the backside a number of times, but haven't QUITE got there... so no time like the present! I have to write my reasons to motivate myself when I come back here & see them in the cold hard chocolatey light of day!

    1. I really really really want to get back to a normal BMI and have a healthy waistline to help myself avoid getting GD again next PG - I am pure apple shape - I know my risks for GD and Type II.
    2. I start work again in a few months - and I want to fit into my old work clothes and look FAB (plus it will probably be harder to try and lose weight then too)
    3. Just cos I can't do the things I used to do, is no reason not to do the things I CAN do!
    4. Last time I was eating great & exercising I felt FANTASTIC
    5. I want to be a good role model for my son - healthy, fit, fabulous.
    6. I joined this to lose weight, not to wuss out & make excuses or feel sorry for myself!

So lots of reasons why skpping the chocolate and going for something healthier is a great idea!

See you all tomorrow c'mon me, I CAN DO IT!

Congrats to you all for sticking it out & setting a great example for folks like me!

    Thanks Ammaki!

Well my goals for today - go for a good walk outside. Have a blueberry smoothie for morning tea (stave off naughty temptations) and a yoghurt this afternoon. Oh and to remember that exercise IS more important than housework (or combining the two - even better ). And now i'll go catch up on this thread!

ETA: extra thoughts from reading thread - use pedometer, track food (duh!) using my WW online that I couldn't bring myself to cancel cos I knew i was quitting if I did that!

Yeah I hope so too re housework. I'm grocery shopping, maybe I should walk extra fast & do bicep curls with cans of tomato!

Quesiton - does CalorieKing do the same thing as WW online? And is it free? Am I a dufus that's been paying for something I didn't need to?

Hey Belfie welcome back. Every now and then we all need a kick up the big butt.

The self confidence which comes with the weightloss is fantastic. Today, i have one black mini dress (long sleeves) with opaque tights and tight knee high boots. I honestly have not felt this good for AGES. I am loving it. People in the office are talking about me and my dress. It is great motivation.

I am one hot chick mama today!

Re CK you enter all your details and goals in and it calculates a meal plan/ calorie intake per day for you and you enter the food you eat and exercise you do and it pretty much records your calorie intake etc, worth checking out, i use it! Its got most brands of foods even take away and how many calories per serve. Love it lol. Sometimes i check a food item before i eat it and see if its worth the work out haha

Hi guys! Good to see al of your updates. I am doing well this week despite AF arriving. I have gone under or very close to all of my calorie/fat targets by Calorie King and reached 30 mins or more of exercise. Last night we even went to Sizzler and I was really good. Only went 2g over my fat target and none over my calorie target. Woo hoo! Not sure if I will see a loss as I have been sneaking peeks but it has to come sometime soon if I keep up the good work. Soccer tonight so that should be a good workout. See you all tomorrow for weigh-in - eek!

Keep up the good work Krys

I must admit i was very good over the weekend too. I didn't have any junk food. I made the family rice pudding and i had some Lite n Easy rice pudding in the freezer, so we all indulged in rice pudding together.

I agree, tomorrow weigh in eek!

My hair has been real short for over a year now. It is actually shorter than my avi. Ta.

Mum made homemade bread. Had to have some, yummmm. It was hot too. I went to the gym and ran an extra 5 mins to make up for it. I don't think it did.

    I am dreading tomorrow...

Hi girls. Played soccer tonight but wanted to play the whole game andnot sub. Guess that means I am a lot fitter than I used to be. when I started playing last year I lasted 5 minutes and almost passed out (seriously! - very embarrassing). But I had a major clash with a guy from the other team. His shin hit my calf so I have a massive haematoma there now - very attractive!
Anyway I am not supposed to be here but in bed. Bye!

well time for me to check back in (keeping myself honest). Did 30 mins "talking" pace on the exercise bike while chatting to sis on phone, plus 2 walks (one 30 mins, one 15 mins). Ate pretty good as well! Yay!

Thanks for all the encouragement - re CK, does it do calorie thingo for BFers? That's why I liked WW, cos it adjusted for BF'ing.

TD - sounds like you looked hot!

I wore some "re-born" jeans the other day and thought I looked FAB, but when I saw the pics from the occasion and I didn't like how I looked in them at all! On the day I thought they looked awesome! So either I have a flattering mirror or an unflattering camera oh well, bit more work to do *sigh* but Rome wasn't built in a day.

    Hi girls.
BD - what a rough week you hae had! LOL on the sporty looking bruises. You are right actually as you can't see the bruise at all but I have a massive swelling right where some people have big calf muscles. Ha ha when compared to my other leg though!

I had a good loss this week - 1.3kg plus two cm off my bust and three off my tummy. Woo hoo! One cm went on my hips? But I dont know if I will ever lose there cos of my shape.
Hope you all had good losses too. xo
