    Hi girls,

I don't post here much, have recently started doing ovulation induction last month and put on 3kg. I'm in the middle of my second cycle now and while I don't want to actively try lose weight while doing it I need some sort of motivation to stop the comfort food sneaking in too much.

So.... can I join in too? I have 6kg to lose to get to MY ideal weight. It would be about 12kg to get to 'their' ideal weight but I'd be very happy with 6kg!

I'll PM you Kate, but as I don't really know anyone, I understand if you'd rather keep it to ppl you guys know.

Hi girls. I am doing the 12 week challenge but it ends in a few weeks and I am much better in groups. I have lost 10kg since xmas (I had an OMG moment the week before) but have a way to go - another 5.6kg til I am a healthy BMI but another 10 after that till I will be happy with my weight.
I am doing CalorieKing - it is free and I find it a lot better than WW. I think because when I look back at WW I always felt hungry. On CK I tend to get close to my fat limits but if I am careful about that I hardly go near my calorie limit. So even if I almost run out of fat allowance I can still have a bowl of pasta or bread etc. I only started using it about a month ago but it has been a lot more successful than just watching what I ate before that (or WW even before that). There were some hidden nasties in my diet I just didn't realise.
So count me it! Will pm my email.

I agree CK is great. Check it out. The added bonus is that its free. A gf of mine used to pay for a service like this!

Exercising is hard on some (most) days. Just promise yourself that you will do only 10 mins and then stop. Once you get started you usually do complete the whole workout.

If you are not used to exercise, start off with real slow. Just do 3 x 10mins sessions and build up. Initially, all i could do is 10min treadmill, 10min bike and some light weights. Now i can jog for 35mins straight or walk at a 12.5% incline for 35 mins without holding on. So all in all, build up gradually.

If you do go to the gym, get a health assessment and a program written up. The PT knows the best exercises for your fitness goals.

Do weights. I never used to pay much attention to weights but then i was told the more muscle i build up, the more my metabolism increases. I love weights now. The majority of the time, i am the only female in the weights section of the gym. I love it. My biceps are pretty cute too.

Weigh yourself everyday. This works for me. I can see if i've been bad or good and increases my motivation levels. If i've been bad and see a gain of 500gms, i know that i need to be ultra good for the day. It may be just fluid, i know.

When it comes to food.... I've been lucky enough to be on Lite n Easy on and off for the past 18 months. The real trick i've learnt is to have 5 small meals a day.
Brekkie - a bowl of cereal with skim milk and a toast with spread (jam/peanut
    butter/vegemite)
    Morning snack - fruit
Lunch - salad with small piece of meat (chicken/beef/fish), small bread roll (half size of palm), fruit
Afternoon tea - 1 low fat bikkie/fruit/popcorn/diet yoghurt
Dinner - just a small portion of whatever the rest of the family is having. I don't cook separately for me.
Lots of water - 1.5-2L per day

The more i drink, the more i shrink

    HTH a little.

Oh plus...it doesn't happen overnight. It has taken me 18 months to get to where i am and may be another 4-6 months to reach my goal of 60kgs. I know i have to lose only 4kgs but the last few kgs are the hardest.
