I had my first weigh in this evening - down to 148kg from 154kg, but I'm not going to celebrate until some sort of trend becomes apparent in the results.
My original measurements:-
Chest 136cm
Waist 132cm
Hips - 134cm
I'm seeing a personal trainer twice a week doing a mix of cardio and weights on each session....this evening was the intensive weight session, so I'm left feeling like a jellyfish...no feeling left in my limbs at all!
Diet wise - the trainer has given me daily targets for carbs, protein and fat - as a general rule all carbs are consumed before lunch, and I'm trying to do the six meals a day thing - though the logistics are proving to be difficult.
I'm finding the protein target hard to meet without blowing through the fat or carb limits, so I'm still experimenting with different snack foods to try to make the numbers stack up.
I've started getting up early and taking DD (14 months) out for a walk to watch the sunrise at the beach which is a good hours walk each morning to make sure that I'm getting some low intensity exercise every day before breakfast. It doesn't hurt that thePixie gets a lie in too...
I had a little accident with a tree earlier in the year that did some damage to my left knee, so any high impact exercise is a no-no. I will be having surgery to deal with the damage in November - so I'm trying to establish a routine that I can sustain whilst recovering from the surgery.
