Hi, I'm all new to this part of BB and am trying to find some advice.
I have been overweight my whole life even though as a kid i played sport 5/7 days a week and playing netball 3 nights a week up until 2 years ago and i'm no that much of a big eater. It does seem no matter what I seem to eat it puts on weight. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15 and put on the pill when I was 17 to regulate my hormones. This seemed to help with my weight as well as I actually lost a little of my wieght at the beginning. Anywho since meeting my now DH my wieght has yoyo'd up and down but has stayed around the same for the last 4yrs. But now since going off the pill June 2009 I had put on 5kg in 12 months and since starting FSH injections in Aug 2010 I have put on 10kg in 5 months so in total I have put on 15kg in 18 months.
Now that we have decided to take a break from TTC as we have to save for IVF and I need a break for my mental state of mind I am now only focusing on my weightloss. My fs would like me to loose 30kgbut I myself would like to loose 50kg so I would be a healthy and happy mum when we do have our kids.
DH and I don't have that much money so going to a gym is sort of out of the question, but I do own a treadmill which I try and do at least 30-60 minutes a day on and have been watching the size of my meals. I have lost some weight years ago (10kg) when DH and I first started dating but I put it straight back on again after our wedding
My question is does anyone here have PCOS and successfully lost this much weight and how did you do it, I mean was there a special diet program you followed or just watching the food and exercise???
Thank you in advance for the advice that I recieve, this is my goal and I have told DH that I'm not going to start TTC until I have lost the weight, so I am determined this time to loose the wieght as I so long to have a child.
