I have just seen a very unflattering photo of myself...

I don't own scales as I get too obsessive with them :lol: so I am going to go by measurements & how my clothes fit. I just measured my tummy & it was 97cms!! Time to stop burying my head in the sand & get back into shape. It's been a month since my miscarriage today - that's a month of sitting around, drinking copious coffees & eating whatever I felt like, along with VERY little physical activity.

I need to get off my butt, get out more & stop eating Moo's leftovers :lol:

I did legs today - ouch! And also 20 mins each on the cross-trainer and step-machine.
Now I'm starving. I always get really hungry when I increase my exercise. I think I need to do some healthy snack shopping.....

Way to go Jayne!! What was your time for your 3ks? I did 3ks in 20:18m this morning, very pleased! I covered the monitor with my towel so i couldn't see what was going on and turned up the music LOUD! How was your trip away? WOuld love to hear all about it as i have a bit of a travel bug at the moment ;)

I did absolutely nothing yesterday, was just so exhausted! This moving things is mentally and physically draining... I did apply for a great apartment yesterday which meets all of DF's criteria and just about meets mine, so things are looking up. I also but in a back up application for 3 other places in our local area this morning, and am inspecting a few on the weekend. One of them is on Red Lion St, and i absolutely want it because i love the name of the street! LOL. It also comes with the added bonus of MIL 'threatening' that she would never come visit us if we moved to that suburb as its too hard for her to drive too! I am so applying for that one! Hahaha.

Had a good morning at the gym, did 2ks walk/run, a strength session for legs, arms + tummy, 3k elliptical, 1k row and then 10k bike ride. Wow, i am amazed when you add it all up like that! Can't believe how far i have come, i was doing absolutely NO exercise whatsoever since well before i fell pregnant, then i started walking with the pram after DS was born, decided to start running so did a few weeks of the couch to 5k and then i was inspired to join the gym and went from there! Wow, I hope i never go back to the old me! Still battling to change some food behaviours, but i am doing pretty well there too overall :)

He's ok, bored out of his brains though. follow-up appt is on the 25th but it's anywhere from 6wks + in plaster then possibly a moon boot, roughly 3mths out of action they think, if not more :(

Hi guys! Just a quick one from me. Have been off the last few days as I have had a cold and then DH's birthday and our council approval came through for our house plans so lots of celebrations! But did 40 mins on bike yesterday and then again today so pretty happy.
Apple I managed to do 10kms in 16:36. What are you aiming for atm?
Am going for a jog with the doggie tomorrow on the road. Will have to work out my current speed to give myself something to work towards. Oh and signed up for soccer. Woo hoo! Now if only the ground would dry out so training can start I will be very happy.

I'm very happy to report I have packed away my scales until my weigh day (Thursday) & in the last 2 days I have done 7km on the Elliptical/CrossTrainer. I have also been eating VERY well & cooked another batch of my special soup. I have to come back to Aus in April for a wedding & I know this sounds ridiculously shallow, but I want to touch down at Perth Airport at my goal weight. It's achievable & the added bonus that the bride of the wedding HATES me & my DH is the BEST MAN so it's rather a bit complicated but I want a killer dress, killer hair & look absolutely RADIANT. PMSL.

KRYSALYSS _ The run with the pooch sounds great, I really miss doing that with my dog :( WTG on the building approval!!! & Happy Birthday DH.

CHEEZEL MONSTER _ I love your way of thinking with no scales, I have a scales weighing 'issue' as well. The measuring & using your clothes as a guide is a fabulous way to gauge your loss.

APPLETREE _ The trip to Beijing was great. I am so OVER fireworks, you can guy them off street corners here, so everybody fires their own, so needless to say when you have a city with the population size like Beijing & Qingdao, that makes for lots of fireworks. I'm just sick of them & Beijing even though was really quiet as a lot went away for Chinese New Year, there were still so many fireworks. Claudia hates walking down the street & they are being set off everywhere. I don't blame her, they are noisy & scary for kids, plus dangerous when they set them off on roads as cars are driving by. Anyway! We went to a Snow & Ice Festival at the Birds Nest Stadium & that was really great. The kids went down ski slopes in tyre tubes & they slid down a big castle on carpet mats & they threw snowballs & dug in the snow, etc... We went down to Hou Hai where there is a lake you can skate on in Winter but it was closed due to unusual high temps (6) & there was water forming on the top, so it wasn't safe to skate - but there is a great restaurant there we like to go to. It's the oldest in the area & we ate there. Super healthy! I got myself some new Nike's which make my feet feel like they are on clouds when I"m on the cross-trainer! The kids got shoes from the markets, we just generally chilled out. Oh & darn you girl, it took my 38.39 mins to do my 4km last night. You're a machine woman!

ZF _ When Alan was in plaster I hired him heaps of DVD's to watch? Is this an option?? Good luck - it sucks for you big time! Especially with 2 little monkeys in tow. I would make sure you get out for a walk every day, just to regroup!

ONYX _ Well done on your workouts. I like how you focus on a different area each day. It keeps it interesting & not monotonous.

SOPDET _ Your salad sounds awesome. How long does it last in the fridge like that?

Hey ladies, what do you all have for breaky each morning? I have been getting into a small bowl of museli, with a little drizzle of honey on top & then putting a tub of yoghurt on the top. We are big fans of bacon & eggs on the weekends, so I got myself a really good (& it was CHEAP) fry pan where you use NO oil & it does actually work! I have bought pans like that before where they say no oil & it just burns the crap out of everything & everything gets stuck, but this works. & so we have bacon, eggs, mushroom & tomato on the weekends, but I rarely have the toast.

I can usually get 3 or 4 days out of the salad, a bit more if I don't put anything that can go soft in it.

Well I attempted to go for a jog along the waterfront here in Cairns this morning, I did 10-15 mins before I admitted defeat and went back to my hotel, stupid idea at 9am considering it had rained already once that i knew of this morning, so I settled for going to the gym instead. Had a protein packed breakfast and lots of fresh fruit.

Sopdet - How was the gym? Are you travelling atm? Hence the hotel?

Hmmmm, where is everybody? :) I thought it was weigh day for just about all of you........... lol. I'm kicking it on my cross-trainer, I'm so happy with myself and I really feel as though I have my mojo back. I have been really working hard at planning really tasty meals & I'm watching my snacks & I just feel as though I'm going to make a break in the scales this week. Well I'm hoping anyway. I'm going to VERY upset if I don't show a loss.

No weigh in for me until mid-week.
I had a pretty lazy weekend. I ate 2 muffins on Saturday and spent an afternoon dealing with the self-loathing. On Sunday I took the dog for a walk down to the lake so I got some exercise in a green zone.
Did arms today at the gym and 20mins on the bike and 15 mins on the rower. I think I might need to do more weights tonight because I'm not really feeling it.
I might try and step up the cardio a bit. Maybe do some intervals....

Classes at the gym? Does anyone do them? They have a pump class in the middle of the day and a body balance. The body balance looks pretty low impact so it won't help much with toning and weight loss but I could do with a bit of work on my flexibility so I might try it.

Forgot to weigh in this morn, will do it tomorrow but took the new attachment for the pram for a spin today so no breaking records but did a 4.3km walk with HotI

Onyx - I'm a mid-week weigher as well, helps me to redeem myself if I have a particularly 'bad' weekend. lol. I took a Body Balance class only once but I didn't really get into it. I really love pump classes though.

ZF _ Glad you got out for a walk today darl. How's Plaster Man?

Very exciting for me, I found some Ryvita type crackers at the supermarket, so I had ham, tomato & cucumber crackers for lunch today. With some light cream cheese spread. So delicious!

No change for me this week, which is kind of a yay because of the 3kg the scales told me I'd gained last week (yeah right). So my no change today actually means that I didn't gain the 3kg like it said. Plus we were very naughty over the weekend - we had Valentine's Day on Saturday night and indulged. Boy it was good.

Sorry ladies, i wieghed in around 5am and wasn't happy with it again so i decided i wouldn't post! I am sooo bad!

Am seriously considering the Michelle Bridges 12 Week BT Challenge, i don't seem to be making any progress anymore, despite the good exercise i keep doing! When i was in Rebel sport today the sales assistant was telling me how she is doing her 3rd round and that she went to an awesome boot camp with the commando that the Sydney ladies had organised, sounded like so much fun!

On the plus side, i had an awesome session with a trainer on Saturday! I had organised some sessions to do some boxing with DF as his valentine's day present (i thought it would be something nice we could do together...beat the cr@p out of each other!LOL) but he 'has a sore finger' so decided not to do it with me. Grrr to him, so my mum came along and another friend and we had such a fun time! My forearms are aching though and i can't really make a fist or pick anything up anymore! Ouch! Was very happy that i was the fittest one of the group despite being the biggest, and i like to think the trainer was a bit impressed by me ;)

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing??

I did a bodypump class today. I'm feeling it tonight which is good. I think I'll try and do one or two each week. I just need to try and get a bit less unco on the moves and get the weights right. Sometimes I had too much on and sometimes not enough.

I'm way to scared to try a body pump class! How hard was it? I don't know why I'm being such a wuss about it!

Nice work though!

I am seriously thinking about the 12 week body transformation, how would I convince df? I'm sure he will be all down on me about it like he is with everything else

AFM, I'm finally back on track with my PLC (permanent lifestyle change -because it's NOTa diet!). I still do my hour walk every morning, but it is now followed by 20min of yoga. I also added my healthy snacks back into my routine (an apple and some nuts for a.m. snack and yoghurt for my p.m. snack). Our meals are now again low fat *sigh* and I now do between 30min-1hr of Zumba every night (5 days a week). DP is back on the bandwagon, too. Food-wise anyway. I still can't get him to exercise. He wants to go for walks with me, but I'm a bit reluctant. I love my walks, it's MY time where I can switch off and just listen to my music. I do enjoy walking with DP, too, but we always talk/discuss things, so I can never switch off. So when I do walk with him I feel "me-time"-deprived! :rofl: Does anyone else feel like that?

Appletree, I'm not usually a class person but I thought I'd give it a whirl and I'm planning on going back. I'm hoping to do 2 classes a week. It's weights based so you can start small - just with tiny weights and then work up. I'm pretty unco so some of the moves will take me a bit of practice but I'm hoping that in a few weeks I'll have them down pat. I think it will take me a while to sort the weights too - some of the time I had too little and other times too much. I can feel it everywhere except my abs today. That's more because of me - I have huge issues with working my abs. I always find my lumbar region hurts or my neck feels weird long before my abs start hurting so I stop.
I did an abs session today but I'm really not feeling it. I might ask DH to train me for abs once a week because he's the only one who has ever managed to hit the spot. The problem with getting DH to train me is that I end up wanting to punch him so then he gets out the gloves and taunts me....

I ran for about 10 minutes today - it's been a while since I did that :o I think need a new sports bar, my boobs aren't the same size as they were the last time I needed one.
I weighed myself today. I have lost *drum roll please* 0.1 kgs :rofl:

Raupe, I like going for walks alone too. I usually take the dog but she doesn't count because she can't talk back.

My hand delema is slowly sorting itself out- i weighed myself on the scalkes during the week, and i have managed to loose .5kg... but i kinda feel like i have been cheating- because it is more from not eating much and stressing about my poor hands than any actual excercise!!! But I am going to start getting back into gear starting tomorrow!! (famous last words?? lol) My poor wii is going to lecture me coz i havent been on there in so long!! lol!!

I lost weight, I went to a wedding on the weekend, ate way too much food and bad food too (airline lunches on a 3 hr flight are filling) and I still lost weight.

Keep up the great work everyone, i WILL be back on the wagon next week.. today had a catch up with PRMG and Emma09 and was a little naughty :shhh:

Well ladies, I'm absolutely gutted. Actually gutted doesn't even cut it - I'm devastated beyond words. I busted my ar$e this week, ate sooooooo sensibly & drank so much water & overall just behaved myself all around & what do I get? I loss of ONLY .3kg. I'm so upset. I know a loss is a loss, but I was expecting at LEAST .5 at the very bare minimum. Boo hoo to me.

ONYX _ My abs are always sore after pump classes too.

SOPDET _ How did you do it girl? I"m jealous! Airline meals plus wedding food - I'm green with envy! lol

STARBRIGHT _ So glad you're back & that your hands are on the improve & awesome job on getting off that .5kg with NO effort!

RAUPE _ Completely agree about the walking thing. Sometimes you just need to slip into the 'zone' & have some time to refresh & refocus & be on your own. I find solo time to be really therapeutic. Just being alone with your thoughts is comforting. Maybe you could tee up with DH to go swim some laps at the local pool together?

ZF _ You're allowed to be naughty at times! I hope it was worth it! lol

APPLETREE _ I get all giddy contemplating a step class. Must be the same feeling you get about pump! lol. I think you would like it though. Can you wrangle a gf into coming along to try it with you?

AFM, I mostly stuck to my exercise and eating plan so far. However I didn't manage to squeeze in my yoga yesterday or today.:( At first I couldn't get motivated and then I ran out of time and had to go to work. Bit disappointing. Oh well, I guess I just have to learn to manage my time more effectively...

Hi guys. I have been MIA as the internet went down for mac users this week and then I have been flat out with work. Haven't been so good this week. Even my exercise went out the window. But tomorrow is soccer training so I am hoping it will kick start me again. Came to work today with out my laptop cord so I better run to save the battery. Hope you are are cruising through.

But in saying that, I'm not expecting any changes. I did one walk last week, admittedly the big one, and a bike ride yesterday morning and I haven't been too bad with food, other than a naughty day with ZF and Emma, but hey, I didn't really care. I'm so tired atm, body clock is so warped, feeling a bit off too. AF is here too. Just finding it hard to find the motivation right now. But I'm still thinking about it continually, thinking about what's going into my mouth and still eating healthy.

RAUPE _ I felt a bit anxious as it got to Sunday night & I had done no intentional exercise for the whole weekend. So I did jump on my cross-trainer last night & I feel somewhat redeemed. I didn't go ballistic eating either. The worst I did was I ate a small-ish banana pancake for breakfast on Saturday morning. We ate at Chinese Saturday & Sunday night & there is no bad food there & no desserts & I didn't eat until I was overflowing either. Can you squeeze in that yogo today at all?

SOPDET _ The wedding sounded like fuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn!!!! Glad you got a weekend away!

Well, I think I have explained all my weekend to Raupe! Lol. I did 6km on the trainer last night & then 5km this morning. Plus I did Zumba on Friday & this might sound really strange, but I didn't feel like the elephant in the room. I was so much lighter on my feet, could coordinate the movements a heck of a lot easier & I also didn't turn beet-red by the end of the class. Also, I avoid looking at myself dance in the mirror at all costs, but the few times that I did glance at myself, I wasn't totally disgusting with what was staring back at me. I felt like I conquered something with that. I have massive body image issues & that was a big hurdle for me to cross. KWIM?

I met up with MIL earlier, and she kept offering me cake :wall:. It was soo hard to stay strong, but I had some yoghurt instead. I'm kinda proud of myself right now. :lol: In saying that, my b-day is coming up and believe me when I say that it'll be my 'splurge day'! :D You're allowed to be naughty on your birthday.... someone please agree with me :hide:

RAUPE _ COMPLETELY & utterly agree that Birthdays are Splurge Day! It's the one day where we should be able to relax the diet & really enjoy ourselves. I will be doing it on my birthday (mind you that's not til September) too & especially cos it will be my 30th.

WTG on saying no to the cake, I'm really proud of you too & you should feel liberated that you could make the better food choice. Oh & awesome job on the exercise front as well! That's a really fantastic effort. You should be really proud - today you worked hard!

Jayne - Thanks. A good night's rest would be pretty amazing. Last time DD slept through was November :wall: DH just doesn't hear her, and if I wake him up, well he doesn't have the patience I do and it usually results in me getting up anyway. We're co-sleeping at the moment when she wakes up, but it's not ideal for us.

ZF - Have you given the zumba dvds a go? Hope you had a nice night in Bendigo.

Raupe - If you can't be naughty on your birthday, what's the point? Don't think of it as being naughty. You're giving yourself a delicious present that you deserve :)

I am aiming for 1000 cals burnt 5 days per week and to stay between 1200 and 1500 cals per day

Hi everyone! Well soccer training was cancelled again due to the rain - argh!!! Hopefully it will be on tonight but I am going to the gym anyway just to make sure I do something. Went for a jog yesterday and ran a pitiful time - 3 kms in 23.27. At least it gives me something to aim for I guess! My goal is 5 kms in 25 mins. I am going to work on the distance first and then on the time. Sorry can't stop for long. Hope you are all great.

Ok ladies i NEED you all to kick my butt over the next week, will make an effort at the end of every day to log my food (will pop the link in) and work my butt off 3 days a week with HotI, am going to get back on the bike and also try out PRMG's Zumba DVD's IF they work on the DVD player upstairs.

I am really loving my walks but i need to pump it up when i'm not out doing that.. so please please please PUSH ME to get back to what i know i CAN do.!

How is everyone else going, i will be weighing in Monday, will also try and find the tape measure and measure myself and start afresh... COME ON LADIES WE CAN DO IT.
