Appletree - that's wonderful news! So happy for you!

Ash - I tag-teamed a phsyio & osteo all of last year which seemed to work ok... buuuut I've never tried bowen therapy what a great suggestion thank you. I will definitely give it a go, i've got nothing to lose (well ok just a bit of money & time) but hey if it fixes it... i'd be thrilled.

Jayne - thanks re my LO... she's a chubber alright - 97th percentile!!! I wonder if that's my diet making all that high-cal EBM lol! I like your status by the way, it always gives me a giggle. I should update mine to "hello fitness, can we be friends again?".

Well I managed 2 walks today... and the second one I felt so good I went a bit longer - 23 mins instead of 15. And now my left achilles is really sore for pete's sake I'm not even going that far or doing that much! Ah well, up & at 'em, tomorrow is another day. Ate... okish considering I had my goodbye lunch from work. I picked a salad but it wasn't all that healthy (yummy tho!). Am still finding myself getting caught by those pesky old habits...
It's funny I reckon when you really start trying to lose weight, I always feel so excited about my newfound steely resolve... but then I look in the mirror and realise the weight hasn't actually gone yet! Lol it's like I think it'll happen overnight - so silly really. Still I haven't fallen off the wagon yet despite my work redundancy being confirmed and DH getting sicker again. And on the bright side, his back is improving and he might actually be able to lift somethign or do something/anything vaguely useful again - I live in hope!

Appletree! WHOOT!!!!!!! DD went through the same thing, plaster and all, so I'm SO happy for you!!!! To get that wonderful news must be such a heavy weight lifted off your shoulders. Fantastic news!

Jayne - Hope a gorgeous apartment pops up for you soon.

Belfie - Well done on the walks, but sucks about your achhilles. Does this happen often, could it be your shoes?

ZF - Well done on the loss!

    Hi to everyone else!

Not much to report from me Just walking each day, taking the dogs who are loving it! DD is starting to get a bit ansty in the pram, so I'm hoping it's a phase, because it's really my only form of trying to get fit right now and if she comes out of the pram, then we'll be reduced to a stroll. I took her and my niece to the park yesterday, maybe half a k from SIL's house and it took nearly 15 minutes! So I'll end up doing my normal 4 k walk in about, I don't know..........six hours?

I've really gotta post in here more.
The batteries in my scales have been flat since the end of January, so I haven't weighed myself since then. The other night I decided to get my wii fit out to weigh myself, not sure how accurate it is, but I think it's fairly accurate...I've lost 4kg since Jan!

All from just eating better. But I still have another 2-4kg to go to get to my goal, so I'm walking to work more regularly (approx 5km).

I also did my measurements the other day for the first time since January, I've lost between 2-4cm from thighs, butt, hips, waste & bust (DH wasn't so happy about the loss from the bust though!)
