We recently got a Treadmill off ebay of all places. It's a "Lifespan" Has something rediculous like 200kg+ rating, automatic incline, has all the little extras like your speed, time, distance, heart rate, calories burnt, body fat. Comes with speakers so you can plug your MP3 in to it if you want, though after using it, I'm not sure I'm comfortable putting the ipod in the holder they have? Goes to 22klms per hour like we're ever going to get that fast!
It does have some programs with it, though I'm not sure on how each one works, i would probably understand if i read the booklet.
The belt on ours is 52cms wide. So it's nice and wide for DH as he doesn't like small width treadmills.
If you look on ebay, and search for treadmills, I just tried searching again for ours and it didnt come up as lifespan or lifespan Force (just found the model name on ebay) btu when i searched for treadmills, it was one of the ones up the top.
We paid about $870 for ours, postage was a biggie for us, about $300 for freight and insurance to QLD.
One thing we did notice about some treadmills on the market, is that some of them have a bar that goes across the front, so imagine that you could reach out and hold on to the bar in front of you while walking. Anyway, we decided that we didn't like the idea of that as we would have DS running around downstairs one day and we have nephews who we were worried would find it something fun that they could swing off, if they were visiting.
Have fun shopping
