i needed a bit of a boost to begin with and did one of those chemist programs just til i started seeing some results then ididnt really need them anymore, had enough motivation to keep going myself.

exercise, make it fun somehow find out what you like and stick to it. could be a group sport or class at gym etc.

i try to keep a mental tally of how much choccy etc i have had and try to stick to one a week.

its hard, it sux, but when you do loose the weight you feel great.

i am just about to start again after having DD2,. lost 20 kg after DD1 and i have to do it all over! argh!

WATER WATER WATER.. make sure you drink 2-3L a day! very very important to remove toxins from body.. keep hydrated and help with removal of waste.

Eat more veggies then fruit. Fruit has so much sugar it in.. so limit to 1-2 pieces of GOOD fruit a day.. example. no banana no peas no corn no potato... limit your bread as well..
    east every 2-3 hours..

    Drink decaf or tea herbal.

    Dont eat dinner past 8pm

Don't worry TOO much about what you're eating (but obviously aim to eat more of the healhty stuff) but cut down on portion sizes. Don't have a huge bowl of pasta, cut down the size. I've lost weight despite not being able to exercise, mainly by cutting down on portions. I've also seriously reduced my alcohol intake.

Steer clear of 'diets' - if you feel like you're depriving yourself of stuff that you want to eat then you'll feel resentful and fall off the wagon. So eat what you like, but only small amounts of naughty stuff.

    My tips are:

    1. Know your weaknesses (are you a sweet tooth or have fatty cravings?) and find some alternatives. e.g Know which sweet bikkies have lower fat/kjs (every timtam has over 4g of fat! While iced vovos only have 1.5g)

    2. If you are susceptible to 'double dinners' like we are (ie when DS goes to bed we start thinking about naughty food) have something comforting but low damage like herbal tea around this time until the cravings pass.

    3. if you have a sweet tooth find something that is sweet but you know you won't be tempted to have lots of. For me these are peppermints. They are ok but nothing I would have more than two. Plus peppermint is a natural stimulant so that helps as a pick me up.

    4. Find a sport you really like. For me this is indoor soccer. Team sports are good as other people are relying on you and you get to meet new people. If you can commit to a sport like outdoor soccer you get the benefit of training sessions during the week too.

    Hope that helps!
