I am also going to get on.. Big W has a deal starting tomorrow where you get the Wii Fit and the Wii Active, i think for around $120. I was thinking of getting that Cos the Wii Active alone is around $75ish.

But then i don't think i will get the Wii personal trainer.. anyone have both of these? The personal trainer is $26.50 from target atm

nah you dont need the personal trainer one if you have active - it kicks butt I love it. I weigh myself using the wii fit but do my exercises on active - you can also use the wii fit board with active but you dont have to

It comes as a pack I am pretty sure - well mine did - the accessories come with it. I brought a second accessories pack so my husband and I could work out together.

This thread is timely for me. I am considering ebaying our xbox360 and getting a Wii instead. So if I am starting from scratch with a Wii, should I buy Wii fit to get the balance board and then Wii active as well or does Wii active not need a balance board or can you get it with one? Hope that makes sense?

Hey Anney you dont need the wii board for the EA sports active. You do need the Wii board with the Wii fit.
If I were you I would just go straight for the EA sports active because it is 100x better. If you can get them both in a pack that would be better because there are games out there for the Wii that you can use the wii board with and there are more being made, in saying that though there are plenty of games that you can play that dont need the board.
Make sure you get an extra set of controls such as the Wii remote and Nunchuk though because most packs only come with one set and you need two if you want to play with someone else.
I do not like video games but I love the Wii because it is interactive you dont just sit there and become a zombie. Hope that helps

I have the Wii Fit + the Wii Active. I love the Wii Active. At the moment I have only done individual exercises on it. I want to start the 30 day challenge, how often are the rest days on the 30 day challenge? Sometimes I dont get a chance to exercise each day. What happens if you miss a day on the 30 day challenge that you were meant to train on?

Hi Leigh, the rest days are every 2 days roughly on the easy mode I am not sure about the other modes. I havent missed a day yet and I am half way through so I am not too sure what happens there - would be interested to hear about this.
I am pretty suprised with myself for not missing a day. I do have some days where I just dont feel like it but the 30 day challenge keeps me motivated I think. I just say to myself oh its only 15 minutes you can do it.

How much do you guys trust the Wii Fit?
My DF jumped on it and did all the weighing and what not and it told him he was obese - He is 6foot3 and weighs 95-97kg and honestly, he is a bean pole.

I really only use it for scales not for the BMI or anything.

think I might have to try out Active too... I already have the wii fit, and I get a bit bored with it, so Active might be the thing for me to try
