I'd definitely do it... actually I have wanted to do it for years but have never got the nerve up to actually do it. I suffer from IBS and apparently it can help a lot.

    IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

My husband thinks it is hilarious that I would pay so much money to have someone stick a tube there and flush me out! lol

One place I looked at charges $195 for the first visit and $99 for the subsequent visits... they recommend 6 visits in total.
I find it interesting that it can help with alll sorts of issues including gall stones. I wish I knew that 12-ish years ago.

Thanks mr squidipa- i agree with that of course, but it will be in conjunction with excercise and good diet, i guess it would be like a new start to removing all the toxins which will then help your metabolism im not looking at it like a quick fix

My mum had this done a few years ago. She went to about 6 sessions and she said it was fantastic. She not only lost weight, but she felt cleansed and really healthy afterwards.

There is a colon irrigation clinic 5 minutes up the road from work.

Does it hurt? I mean when they insert the hose.

I've got IBS too which causes chronic constipation. Nothing works. I might have to pay a visit.

TD, I'd be interested in the answer as well. I think CI is meant to be really gentle and a great way to do a bit of a 'spring clean.'

I considered it after my IVF stim cycle, cause all the hormones backed me up, but I wasn't allowed to because I might have been pregnant at the time. I was actually disappointed to not be allowed to do it and hope I'll have the chance in the future.

I say give it a go...and let me know what it's like!

I have issues with my bum, recently had to have something similar to a varicose vein lanced "there". Not painful, but might be a factor when getting it done? I was also thinking about it, as the dr (as she was getting ready to lance) asked about my movements. I consider myself regular (which I told her) but apparently it turns out my regular is constipated...

    Hmmmm...
