I'm going to start doing it (but have some gumption here, so I'm just using that till I run out) but when I do start I'll spray it down with vinegar first, and on any stubborn yukko bits, will throw some bicarb paste at it. If that makes sense.

I already clean the toilet with bicarb and vinegar, and I just spoon it in and around the bowl, and then hit it with the vinegar spray.
