If you're really worried, you could wipe it down with warm soapy water, and then, if we ever see the sun again, stick it out there for an hour or two.

Just googled your Q as we have one too (giraffe not steriliser) and the general response is the rubber won't handle the steriliser, and not to immerse in water due to the squeaker. I'd go with Audax's method

Thanks everyone! HB thanks for googling it, I hadn't thought to do that.
Audax will a tantram help bring this bub on cause if sooooo I think the sun may be just peaking out just a little right now...LOL nope its wet and COLD here. DD is wrapped up in a warm sleeping bag as we speak.
Off to look for Sophie bath toys now...
Don't know about a tantrum bringing bub on, but will try anything!
I've sterilised a fair few toys in my time...
